Every fire emblem game has a dick. Usually, its their fault that the dragons are back.

Megaten is modern day, i don't know much about the system. SMT is modern post apocalyptic, you recruit demons by talking to them. Persona series is modern day, high-school characters. you don't recruit demons.Instead, each character has a persona, which they get the weaknesses and resistances of, as well as skills. persona 1 you get demon's cards, which you fuse to make personas. Persona 2, you get arcana cards from demons. it costs arcana cards to summon a persona of that arcana persona 3 and 4, your party members have one persona, which they keep. you have multiple personas, which you can switch around a key element in all the SMT games and spinoffs (again, not sure about Meagten) is the fusion system, where you fuse two or more demons to get a new, better one. they inherit skills from the demons you fuse them from. each particular game has nuances to its fusion system that tend to be game specific.

Press turn from nocturne and DDS is about weakness exploiting the other ones are more traditional turn based games. Raidou games are real time fights. if hama and mudo don't appear, i'm gonna be disappointed. anyway, if your MC dies in a Megaten, its game over, same as if your lord dies. Megami Tensei, or megaten, was the original game, based off the novel Digital Devil Story by Aya Nishitani. Shin Megami Tensei is a spinoff series. Persona is a spinoff taking in the reality from Shin Megami Tensei if... Persona 1 and 2 are very different from Persona 3 and 4, and are not for everyone. persona 1 is much more like mainline SMT than any other persona game. Persona 3 and 4 have the social link system. it grants bonuses to fusing personas based on what rank you are with that particular social link. P3 and P3FES only have links with the female party members, but in P3P and P4 you have links with them all. P4's party links grant bonuses in battle as well. SMT1,2, strange journey, and persona 1 are first person dungeon crawllers Personally, i'd suggest Nocturne on the PS2 to get into the series.

Its doubtful. the Persona series doesnt even have the Shin Megami Tensei title in japan. We have about as much chance of the persona crew showing up as we do the Devil Suvivor crews.
