  1. On player phase, they are generally the one weapon type that guarantees a KO without taking a hit back.
  2. I thought gauntlets were excellent so I'm quite puzzled so many had the opposite experience.
  3. Kronya makes no sense to me. What a terrible way to do a villain. I get that she kills Jeralt but she is killed the instant she is revealed. It made her feel unimportant and aesthetically overdesigned to me. Would have needed much more time and character development. You should have been pursuing your father's killer longer than that.
  4. I'd appreciate the Cipher characters and enjoyed them a lot in Echoes but my priority would go to in-game characters that were not playable but felt like they should have been.
  5. Yes. Proposed the same elsewhere and thought it an opportunity wasted. Randolph and Ladislava, Judith and Nader, and whoever fills that role in the Blue Lions route I have yet to play (Rodrigue?).
  6. Would like another remake of one of the older games next. Preference being Geneology but I'll accept Binding Blade as well (or Thracia but I don't see how that'd happen without Genealogy being remade first).
  7. I really don't think fists will become a staple in Fire Emblem, I very much doubt they'll make it into Heroes and I kind of don't want them to, especially if they plan to give that weapon type to characters like Gonzales. That said, I wouldn't mind if they made it a colorless melee unit type and kept it unique to characters like Caspar and Raphael.
  8. Yeah it was borderline starting to piss me off that characters like Holst and Count Bergliez would get mentionned all the time, had important roles in the conflict and were yet never even shown.
  9. I think it's super cool that he's streaming his playthrough but I can't watch because it always aggravates me when people play differently than I would.
  10. Yeah I was disappointed to see that they re-used campaign maps for the paralogues and the game difficulty, on it's hardest mode, is definitely a joke for anyone actually looking for a challenge and I'm usually not even one of those players. The replayability is hampered a bit to me by how lenghty the pre-skip campaign is, considering it will be pretty much the same on all 4 routes. Never been a fan of the "every unit can be every class" formula but that isn't new to 3H. Still love the game.
  11. Sacred Stones is the one I'd be least interested to revist at the moment. That, despite L'Arachel being one of my favourite characters in the series.
  12. If I recall well, drawing a specific 4* unit, although it depends greatly on colour, has odds akin to drawing a focus 5* unit. Mordecai is the one taking a lot of time for me but I don't think he has beaten Soleil yet. She took nearly a year but since I've gotten her, further copies have been pouring. Still don't have Brady yet either but he's new. Edit: Yeah, just calculated it. Even lower odds than a focus unit. Every blue orb at base odds has a 1.87% chance of being Mordecai or any other specific 4* unit.
  13. Casually standing around the fire on your mount or floating in mid-air. Now seems a good time to complain about how non-canon Micaiah flying is.
  14. I... still haven't pulled a single Mordecai. 😞
  15. Could have easily fixed this by forcing you to explore on the last week before the mission and have the events happen there.
  16. Just one shot KO'd him with Thunderstrike Cassandra and her relic on the second map he appears in. Even on hard mode, he isn't that big a deal. Sure, she CH'd, be she was going to leave him with like 4 HPs if she hadn't.
  17. The theme of my last Binding Blade run was playing exclusively with the characters getting the hard mode stat bonuses. This included using some subpar chars like Cath but if you're to play hard mode I'd just say to not pass on on Miledy. Rutger also gets the bonuses and he's going to be one of the few units that can one round kill enemies so use him. Perceval also benefits from this.
  18. I wonder if the characters we'll see in Lost Lore in their original game art are characters they plan to never release in Heroes.
  19. Were you able to summon on the daily banners again?
  20. You don't hear Athena in Shadow Dragon/New Mystery and you only hear her a bit in Heroes. For reference though, yeah I do think Athena's voice acting is how Petra should have been handled. You probably know people that have lost most of their accent but there are probably always remnants of it that remain. Unless they transitionned very young. People that begin to learn late will never lose their accent entirely. Petra isn't old but she didn't get to Fodlan when she was a child either. Besides, her speech pattern mishaps would have been the first thing to go. The accent much later. Speaking of, it's weird that she hasn't really gotten any better five years later. She's been immersing herself in Fodlan culture and it's language for over 5 years and she should by now be speaking with correct grammar and syntax. What I do know is amongst the people that you know have lost their accent, none of them speak like Petra does. Nobody loses their accent first and then begin speaking properly. Petra wasn't young enough and hadn't be there long enough. Her accent may get better over time but she would never entirely lose it. It doesn't matter anyway because she doesn't even have to lose in the first place. Before timeskip especially, it should be there and it should be thick.
  21. Really? Didn't mind Bernadetta at all and I thought Annette was a treat to hear whenever she spoke. She's adorable and imo one of the best voice acted character in the game. The two I didn't like very much were Mercedes and Petra. Mercedes's voice was just extremely annoying and grating to me and just felt fake when compared to everyone else. No one speaks like that. She's become my least favourite Three Houses character because of that performance. That, and perhaps also for acting sweet and yet immediately taking Rhea's side when she proposes execution for the western church rebels. Petra would have been fine if the voice actress and whoever gave her directions understood what it means to speak a language that isn't your native one. She had no discernable accent to speak of and that didn't make any sense. It is really all I could think of whenever she spoke. Sure, the grammar was off but why were all the intonations impeccable? It should be impossible.
  22. Doesn't feel like a WT to me if "at worst it's neutral". I had two playthroughs and didn't plan any of it with the WT in mind. I don't ask for the WT just so that I get the edge. I ask for it because it's a FE mechanic that I love even when, and perhaps particularly when it puts me in a tough spot.
  23. Well you need to build the skills up, save a skill slot for them, which you should because they're good but the biggest problem is that the enemies will probably not be using them so you're not instantly in trouble if your sword unit gets jumped by a pegasus knight you miscalculated the range for. I get that there is something but it still doesn't feel to me like the WT is there.
