  1. Mel and I were really impressed that you managed to make a feasible FE7 bad ending possibility entertaining to us, who both have our long time experiences with. (Mel especially, she couldn't stop smiling about this project after the stream ended) Kudos and kudos again for making me realize I could feel something for Lyn! I am a patient man, so even if updates take a century, my vengeful spirit will still await with baited breath. I'm so sorry! I feel like this was my fault since I specifically pointed it out when it was brought up in the stream. Your work is very good, for sure!
  2. Karcist must be some baller swag dude to be a dragoon with several dragons backing him up. Respect the rank.
  3. Surprisingly very little mermaid maiming going on! Alphonse keeps a level head but not a sealed mouth.
  4. Suddenly we're Yggdra Union now, hopefully with 100% less mermaid massacre! Once I got Alphonse to go Swordmaster I never looked back, it was the most hype.
  5. I was even about to suggest investing time in the Rewind feature. We have to see more mermaid faces after all!
  6. Hi, I'm Mel's friend. Hopefully I won't bore you. I may bore you. (my strength shall return...)
  7. Deneb's face sprite <3 It's always nice to have a goofy character like her in games. Would bet she and Anna would be BFFs.
  8. Everything dies. But it's the way of canon so follow it true.
  9. Sounds like typical banter between Nell and Olaf during the Field Training of Advance Wars. ' 3'
  10. Why yes I would totally trust a woman who has sublime magical powers and would want me to mingle with mermaids just so I can grab a spear that can make the Pope almighty. Because that always turns out well. ' 3' (the answer is "no, don't trust")
  11. Oh god the fucking twin mages with the stupid looking hats. Please go away, they are a blight on my senses.
  12. Sand Boy's feeling a little sleepy after a big battle, is all.
  13. Some seeds are sown for Neutral Sand Boy Arbitrator Alphonse and he lets in some silver haired lady. Seems legit. Look, birbmen! (I actually really like birdmen in this and LUCT, they have saved my ass more than a few times)
  14. And so it was that Neutral Gale Boy Negotiator Alphonse's story took shape. I also really like the face sprites for this game, even if it makes some hard sells for some of the character ages for me at times. Ah well. Teddy bear girl OP.
  15. Fuck me I completely missed the last virtue thing. With full canon go gloriously, baby.
  16. Pan's Labyrinth! With no casual mention of Pan's totally cool enemy dancers he has in his keep or that by even sparing them you can get two to spawn at turns 25 and 30 for sick loot. Which usually means playing the map fast and/or in a certain way. But more importantly Pan having totally cool enemy dancers in his keep. He won't be the last to have some but he is one of the few in this game to have them employed. You can interpret that as you will. Same for his conversation with Lara, there's not much room to interpret that most ways because we have no other basis for it. Thanks, Kaga. Kemph's such an utter shitshow and I love him. There was just something blasé about Hans in Fates in terms of his assholery and he had little charm, but something about Kemph's snakeoliy presence sells it to me wholesale and I eat it up. Similar to Iago I guess, haha. Speaking of Olwen, she's always been one of my favorite FE5 characters but Heroes made me appreciate her even more as she gets some lines about wanting to make children happy because they deserve a good world to grow up in and they were rather sweet.
  17. Damn bro, you waste no time. ' 3' It was something of note that when I found out that these games were the progenitor for what would become FFT and still happened to be traditional "turn-based" instead of "speed-based" like I was used to, and that little factoid sort of blew my mind. It's been about 6 years since my last playthrough and I got pretty close to the end. I do intend to see this one through, ayup. I clocked in my votes and hope that you keep MC's name as Alphonse. Because I'm a canon whore 'n stuff. (on that note canon route or riot) (get an Angel Knight too or also riot)
  18. The Shank of Life(tm) --- Where do I even start? I think my opinion of FFT may be something of a weird one considering most others who've posted in this topic. I've only barely played the game myself, both original NA PS1 and WotL versions and never getting past the Dorter Slums. I could easily say that it was due to other interests at the time but I think, deep down, I couldn't ever really get a grasp of the combat system as well as I could with FFTA which, for all of that game's faults both known and lesser, was still a really fun ride for me, even having played it recently. Looking back it's still not as intuitive to grasp, as I only have a basic knowledge of the mechanics at a deeper level, plus with how slow the game can be it's a hard sell to get back to. (Not being able to cancel moves sucks a lot, I agree) I finally got to see the whole game played through twice thanks to one of my close friends and I did enjoy it - I liked the aesthetic, some of the characters(like Agrias and Mustadio), and even enjoyed the writing(both playthroughs were of WotL and as mentioned earlier, I do still enjoy the prose even if it's hella goofy, and Ciaran has the right idea in feeling like the plot is "good" because it trusses itself up as being "dark, gritty, and political"). Though Chapter 3 always made me wretch. But I look back on it now again... Oh dear. I've come to realize that I don't exactly hold the same attachment to the game as many others, mainly because I never got personally involved with the game, only secondhand. I guess now my opinion is sort of... indifferent? Like this game has clearly not aged that well mechanically, and the story is... uh... Mmm. It's not very good in hindsight. Like I could get behind the first two chapters, sure, but we've all seen how much of a shitshow Ch. 3 is, and by Ch. 4 it all just seems like it's... going through the motions. Similar to FE4, it all just feels like it's wrapping up this intricate political gamble in the most basest and rather pedestrian form it could - "ooooh spooky demons are evil and are doing evil things because evil jerkwads oooooo" I've never really connected with endgame because... what's there to connect with? Aside from watching your party die at the end except for Ramza and Alma and Delita unceremoniously offing Ovelia leaves the world much worse for wear. What have you done as a player? 'Cuz all it seems you did was watching Ramza milquetoast his way through map after map with his glowing dimwitted optimism and get fuck all for it. And it leaves a super hollow feeling. Now that I've seen the game in two lights - one positive and one negative, it does help me reevaluate the game and my feelings toward it, and it's again indifference. I can't really hold it to any virtue since I've barely played it, but I can compare the other two entries more favorably now. Even Tactics Ogre I ended up getting into because of FFT and started playing Knight of Lodis and Let Us Cling Together(PSP). I don't have much to say on the former as it's been a while but I do remember enjoying it, but LUCT, mmm. That's a nice one indeed. Still need to finish it one day. Oh right there was a point here. Uhh, this game... Meh. It has Agrias, Mustadio, and Construct 8, I'll take those and run, thanks. Good run all the same, Ciaran. The Kill Count may not have become a void but it shall remain a testament to all. ( ' v')b
