I didn't even know WOTL reverted Job cost changes the original NA release made. That's... not great I admit. Reminds me that I too did a story only run, but of FFTA recently. Not the best time even in a game as easy as that one, friendo. Naturally Alma shares Mercurio's good sense in chivalry, virtue, and jihad. Like any good anime imouto. Also Mercurio really is a heretic if he's beating up celebrants - is this some dark anti-marriage side of him!?

The best part about this run is slowly witnessing the Kill Count graph being bent and warped, until by endgame it'll just be a white void filled with Knight capes and birbs that are not dead. (Agrias H Y P E)

There does seem to be a lot missing with Argath in hindsight; after his abrupt face-heel turn he just kinda laughs gleefully at being made to follow the orders of his highborn idols and spit in the faces of Delita and Mercurio(who still takes everything in stride gods bless). Ah, but it makes him all the more punchable! And who doesn't love a good sockpuppet?

In lieu of Milleuda, Argath goes full ham and just makes her hate Mercurio more for leaving her alone. Nice one, dingus. Oh my, a kill count? Oh dear, the super detailed background plot the taverns lay threadbare in whole - I never paid attention to it at all until after the last playthrough I witnessed. It's certainly a trial. Argath! Everyone's favorite punching bag. He knows he'd better follow Mercurio so he can be punched less.

Mercurio needs no scrubs or moppets - only solid muscle and nerdage. It's the other meme line you're thinking of that the original translation used there - "Surrender or die in obscurity!" Though I believe the one true line is used not long after?
