It seems very likely that Nintendo is going to/has bought them. Persona fits in with that hardcore gamer demographic Nintendo wants to get back with the Wii U, SMTxFE, the cross promotion deal with SMTIV and Awakening, and Atlus making a lot of 3DS games recently, which gives them good experience on the platform.

Then how come Roy is one of the most requested characters out here? Smash caters more to the East. Fire Emblem reps, Lucas,ect. The only time Smash really catered to the West was Sonic.
