Well, this is it. As I've said on a bunch of forums, after 9 years and 1 million words, Wayward Son is finally complete. A friend of mine, Databunny (databunny.tumblr.com) drew several pictures to me, and I set them to music (the ED of Armored Trooper VOTOMs) to serve as sort of an ending credits to my fic, if it were an anime. Hope you enjoy: If you'd forgive the indulgence, allow me to say a few words. As I've also mentioned elsewhere, completing Wayward Son will also mark the end, probably, of my time in the FE fandom. Please don't take this as a knock against Serenes Forest, or the FE fandom generally! I've had a truly great time here. Now, obviously, there's a lot of stuff I would change if I could go through it all over again. I've made more than my share of mistakes, engaged in all kinds of foolishness. But on balance, my time among the Fire Emblem fans has been *overwhelmingly* positive. I met so many amazing people, learned so many amazing things, and generally grew a great deal as a person, across FESS, the FE forums on FFn, and of course Serenes Forest. Even so, it's been years (well over a decade if you count from when I first joined FESS rather than starting Wayward Son), and I'm not as into FE as I used to be. So I think it's best I moved on. But maybe not permanently, though. If an FE game comes out that really captivates me, or if I decide to finish up "A Puppet's History," I'll be back :D Until then, thanks so much for your support, everyone. I know this topic hasn't gotten a lot of replies, but it's gotten a *ton* of views. I'm really grateful to everyone who's read my work--I know you've been with me in spirit, and that's all that matters. Thanks again <3
