  1. Okay, so now the text loads properly in the villages, but in the opening event, it doesn't load the original text, and if I change it (I copy pasted text that works in the villages) then the game freezes after the game loads the plains background. Is there anything off about the opening event that would crash the game?
  2. Thanks, everything works (or can be easily fixed) now. The text still points to promotion item text though, which if I remember correctly is somewhere in the 100-300 area. Is there something wrong with my text pointers? Also, village gates don't close, but I can probably figure that one out myself.
  3. I was able to insert the chapter, but with these issues: Whenever a unit moves to a tile that isn't a village, the menu doesn't come up, basically freezing the game (or the game resets itself.) The text doesn't line up with the pointers (it goes to the text for promotion items.) If I press start, the units don't move to their starting locations (this one isn't that important right now, as I'll probably just change it to have them stay in the sane spot.) Anybody know what might be causing these issues?
  4. Well, I'm even more lost than before. NET Framework's redownload didn't help (unless I got the wrong version, 4.)
  5. I've been ignoring this because I assumed this was par for the course, but this appears whenever I try to open the EA Maybe it's the computer I'm running this on, because the template didn't work either.
  6. The download is the one from Nintenlord's page. Language Raws is there, next to the EA Standard Library.
  7. Same error. Putting the ROM in the same folder doesn't help either.
  8. The EA hasn't been moved outside of the folder. Do the ROM and Text files have to be in a specific location relative to the EA?
  9. Sorry if this is a onslaught of improper parameters.
  10. I get this error every time I try to insert my file into the EA. I've tried getting a fresh copy and it doesn't change anything. Finished. 1 errors encountered: Exception: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at Nintenlord.Event_Assembler.Core.Program.Assemble(String inputFile, String outputFile, String languageName, ILog messageLog) at Nintenlord.Event_Assembler.UserInterface.MainForm.<.ctor>b__1(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs args) No data written to output. I'm not sure what this message means. Could it have something to do with where I'm placing the text file? Could it be that my Parameters are screwed up? Maybe the Macros (even though I replaced most of them with raw code in a futile effort to fix this?)
  11. Thanks, I'll be sure to use the pinned thread next time. I shouldn't be posting these things when I'm half-asleep because I forget that the thread already exists.
  12. When trying to insert my events into an FE7 ROM, I get this error. I've been trying to figure it out for a while now but I'm still lost. Can anybody explain what this means (as in what it's saying I screwed up?) Finished. 1 errors encountered: Exception: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at Nintenlord.Event_Assembler.Core.Program.Assemble(String inputFile, String outputFile, String languageName, ILog messageLog) at Nintenlord.Event_Assembler.UserInterface.MainForm.<.ctor>b__1(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs args) No data written to output.
  13. Please ignore this for the time being. We are still not anywhere near the point to display this (we may not even make this on the FE4 engine,) so until we do have something of value to show, please ignore this entirely.
  14. As far as experience goes, I've only ever edited FE 1-5. Granted there are many more resources for FE7, but there are map editors for FE4 and with a tutorial up portrait replacement seems much more possible. Also, Buddios from the Gamefaqs board wanted me to copy paste this suggested timeline. PART I (begins in the year 440) 440 - Galle's blood pact to form the Lopto Sect 447 - The 12 Deadlords take over Gran 448 - Galle becomes Emperor of the Lopto Empire 449 - The Great Purge 452 - The Sorrow of Miletos 453 - The Massacre of Edda PART II 535 - The Imperial Rebellion led by Maira 611 - Gran liberated from efforts by various liberation forces PART III 632 - The Miracle of Darna 633 - The Holy War begins 648 - Loptyr slain by the 12 Crusaders and the Lopto Empire falls I'm not sure how I feel about part one or two, but it's just an idea as of now. I'll be looking into making chapters around these events though.
