  1. I couldn't find a compilation of ALL the average stats in the game, so I've been chipping away at it myself in a Google Document. It's taking longer than I thought it would! Anyway, I believe I am done with the Nohrians. Voila! https://docs.google.com/document/d/12GvkyCZ2D3ZwH4U9FiI7DuR1skFIa0OTWwkbs0lGaik/edit?usp=sharing Three things to keep in mind: 1) I did not account for Partner/Buddy Seals - only base classes and Heart Seals; 2) I did not account for Eternity Seals (honestly, there's no point to); 3) characters that can be recruited at any point after a certain chapter (eg. Flora, Izana) apparently gain extra levels if you take longer to actually recruit them - because I assume that most players will recruit them ASAP in every playthrough, I account for the earliest level that they can be recruited at. I have been using all the resources on this site (Character Recruitment, Character Growth Rates, Character Base Stats, Class Base Stats, Character Max Stats, and Class Max Stats) for this project. If any values are wrong, let me know and I will correct them. I believe I have been quite meticulous with checking my math, but I'm not perfect. Oh, and the last several pages of the document contain the Growth Rates, just because I think it's nice to have it all on the same tab as the averages. :) Remember, if your character hits the level cap and all their stats are below the average stats listed for them, that means your character got RNG screwed. EDIT: Oh, and I accounted for Corrin/Kamui/MU/Avatar/Whatever being +SPD/-LCK, because I assume that's what most folks do. It's what most folks did in Awakening anyway, and it seems to be pretty effective in this game as well. Sorry if this doesn't help you. I can add all the other different Kamuis as well (eg. +STR/-MAG) if requested. EDIT #2: If people complain enough, I suppose I can whip up a spreadsheet version instead. I personally prefer Docs for stuff like this, but everyone's different.
  2. Hey I was curious how many of these are in the game because when I was playing Revelation, one of the NPC bosses had their own critical quote(s?). Do all bosses have these or certain ones? For the boss in question, massive Revelation spoiler so read at your own risk! Back in Awakening, I know Validar had one, which is why I am curious if more bosses have these. But it might be hard to gather them up without some cheating or some way to force them to trigger skills/crits. Or just being lucky.
  3. When I first played Conquest and later played through Revelations, I found myself liking characters that I didn't really pay too much attention to originally. An example of this would be Shura. At first he seemed pretty.. meh to me, but I ended up liking his supports with Corrin, and the fact he is a very useful archer/healer right off the bat when you get him. Another would be Felicia. I didn't care for her at all but she kind of grew on me the more I played the game. Anyone else find a character that surprised you enough to be likable?
  4. I'm playing Conquest (hard/classic, if it matters) and I wanna try my hand at planning ahead. Is the Lodestar class viable? I know Xander benefits from it quite a bit, but would it be acceptable to not change him into another class?
  5. Hello, I only have a question for 2 pairings in Conquesr. My female avatar has a +SPD and was wondering who would be best for her. Also, who is better for Effie? Arthur or Silas?
  6. I've seen a question on Miiverse asking about how having both games as physical copies would affect your gameplay in any way. Such as anyone being able to access a "Branch of Fate" from Conquest while having beaten the game on Birthright, or vice-versa. In that discussion linked in the URL seen here, I see someone saying that it's possible. But is it really? As soon as I saw that statement, this has been kinda bugging me. Any insight on whether anything would carry over from physical copies or not?
  7. With the new wave of DLC being announced for Japan and I think there is one more wave after it, it got me thinking on something. What would you think if they added a sort of Boss Rush where you face off against all bosses from previous games and fates in a row? I think it could be an interesting challenge for them to do. Perhaps only a small group of units could do the challenge to make it even more difficult? Rewards could be a new class, or something like an Ultimate Emblem or even a powerful skill. Be really cool to fight all the bosses with the amiibo characters at my side. Lords of FE, unite!
  8. Right now I'm on chapter 23ish of Birthright (So, spoiler: I'm well into Nohr and have visited the underground part of Nohr's capital), and 17ish of Conquest (So, spoiler: I'm just beginning to invade Hoshido). I thought, given that the premise of Birthright is that you defend Hoshido against the invading Nohr, and in conquest you fight to restore Nohr from within, that Birthright would put more emphasis on learning about Hoshido and Conquest would put more emphasis on learning about Nohr. It could just be that I'm behind on Conquest compared to Birthright, but I seem to be learning more about life in Nohr and Nohr's motivations from playing Birthright than from playing Conquest. Is this genuinely the case? Or is it simply that I'm further in Birthright than in Conquest?
  9. Hi, SF! I'm really struggling with the final chapter of Conquest. (End Game: Night Breaks Through) Are the reinforcements endless? What triggers their appearance? I'm torn between riding out the waves of reinforcements until they run dry or trying to blaze ahead blindly to the boss. Neither strategy is working too well. Any tips or advice to beat this map? My tanks are Xander, Effie, Midori and Princess Popo. Everyone else is capped at level 20 and honestly trash. I got destroyed by the RNG this time. TToTT
  10. Either gameplay wise or story wise. I'll start. Chapter 25 of Conquest, when you duel with Ryoma. He was doubling me and beating me down with an Astra trigger and a crit but I managed to trigger Dragonfang and get a 4% chance crit with a 60% chance to hit. An epic way to defeat my own brother after getting whupped for a while. Killing all those Kitsune bastards in Chapter 19. I don't care if people hate Corrin for that, what he did was a favor to humanity to save them from those Illusion/pass/dodging abominations. Finally I'd have to say when you fight Hinoka for the final time. The cutscene occuring during my end phase just got me pumped up for some reason. Was a tough chapter though because of the hexing rod, surprisingly strong mages and wave after wave of fliers coming at you. The music was also mood enhancing for that entire chapter.
  11. Hey guys. I just finished my Birthright file so I started a Conquest one. I just have two questions 1. Is Mozu worth it in Conquest? Apart from her low HP, I liked using her in Birthright, she was great as a Master of Arms. However, since you can't grind in Conquest, I wonder if the babying will be worth it in the long run. I also wonder if her low HP will be problematic in the long run (sure you can give her Seraph Robes, but perhaps some characters would use them better?), especially considering the fact that I don't know what the game offers in terms of challenge. 2. I have bought one Heartseal, but I don't know who should get it between: Female Corrin (to Cavalier) Jakob (to Paladin) Mozu (to Archer) Thank you!
  12. Just thought I'd ask everyone what steward they use for their castle, since there is a surprising amount of options. On conquest's side at least you have Jakob, Flora, Felicia and Gunter. Then you have all the generic Nohrian units and.. a Faceless, of all things. Who I imagine is named Roberto. Who do you use as your castle steward? Did you wish that they would let you use more named characters for it aside from those four? I'm torn between Flora, Felicia and a Faceless myself. Felicia has kind of grown on me, Flora seems like an interesting choice and a Faceless is a faceless so it is automatically hilarious to have one as a personal servant that maintains the castle.
  13. Finally got a copy of Birthright yesterday (I'm fighting so hard to not spell it "birthday" on accident XD). I put it off for a bit because of life and I thought that, gameplay-wise, it would be similar to Awakening. Boy, was I WRONG! While the core mechanic of the gameplay hasn't changed much (it's a strategy game. What are you gonna do?), the difficulty level is INSANE!! Just like Awakening, I'm playing on Hard/Casual because I don't want this to be easy or lose my units. Well....it's not easy, so I got that wish granted... Let's start at the beginning of my run through so far. The starting chapter shows you the units in the game from both sides. I think that's a nice touch, now you can get to know the people you're about to kill! Quick battle intro and stuff happens, then you're brought to a fortress pillar for the first chapter where you train against Xander. ...Couldn't they have just put all this in one chapter or something? Chapter 2 begins afterward and I now have Gunter and Felicia fighting some people from Hoshido (Rinka and Kaze) I swear, these names are not easy to remember... Anyway, that's done and Chapter 3 begins and here's where things really start to get difficult. Three paths are set before me, the bridge to the north and two Dragon Vein bridges to the south. I decided to go to the Vein bridge in the middle. ...Nope. All units dead. Then I decide "Okay, let's not take a shortcut and decide to train." Bad idea. All units dead again! Going with the south-most bridge this time. Reinforcements?! REALLY? ...Alright, fourth try, here we go. Yes! FINALLY! ...Gunter, nooooooooooooo! Chapter 4 was relatively easy, as all the enemies headed north toward Hinoka and Sakura (sensing a Japanese theme here...). Ryoma makes quick work of the enemies and I was able to get to the two girls easily. Mission complete! Now for the chapter I'm currently on. Chapter 5. Wait......... my mom dies?! This game just keeps getting better.... Anyway, I'm now a dragon and EVERY STINKING ENEMY on the map is effective against me. Wyrmslayers, thunder magic... My units are terrible for some reason as they can only do 2-5 damage at one time whereas the enemy can do, like, 12. I'm the only one who can do any significant damage, but that goes both ways. To make matters worse, Ryoma is down at the bottom taking care of the boss and he goes down in two hits! It's like the game threw every challenge my way and expects me to live through it! I can't abuse Azura or Sakura because they're only level 1, and Rinka and Kaze go down just as easily. If only Felicia didn't keep dying back in Ch. 3 so I could train more, but that would've still only meant *I* have to do all the work. Is this level even possible? I was told Birthright is easier than Conquest (my brothers are screwed, then XD), but this is insane! Forget this. I'll go back to playing Awakening and training up for Apotheosis. At least I know I'll clear that map some day... EDIT: Changed topic title. Need any help? Ask for some here! EDIT2: Dun goofed the tags
  14. When Awakening came out there was a thread devoted to discussing the many facets of Awakenings Lunatic and Lunatic+ modes, I figured we could do something like that for Fates 3 routes, so here we are, although I'm not quite doing Lunatic myself yet on either of the games I have, I do intend to sometime shortly down the line. I hope we can have some nice discussion on strats, useful ideas and possibilities, be it for no grind, grind and other types of runs.
  15. Now that Fates is out what Version/Versions did you decide to get. (Birthright, Conquest, Revelation)
  16. So, at the endgame, do the enemy reinforcements stop at any point that I could just try to hold out until? I'm playing on Hard, and I was quickly overwhelmed long before I got anywhere close to Takumi.
  17. So I got to chapter 21 and a thought occurred to me, "Can I just do this quickly with Corrin and Camilla only?" This is on hard mode: [spoiler=Corrin] Paladin lv.8: hp38/spd29+1(GY)/lck20/def20+1(GY) [spoiler=Camilla] Wyvern Lord lv.12: hp32/spd25/lck16/def26 C-support Spd/def +1 from meal, Camilla boosted hp/spd/lck/def from tonics Camilla had an iron axe, vulnerary, concoction, and elixir [spoiler=turn by turn] 1: Corrin and Camilla next to each other, Corrin dodges rock 2: Corrin pairs up with Camilla, dragon vein 3. vulnerary, had to dodge at least 1 rock, leveled str/skl/spd/lck/def 4. elixir 5. win
  18. I want to level up my units more and get skills so I can have a good team for street pass and stuff
  19. For Fates, I currently have 83:27 on my Activity Log, which is quite a lot for a mere seven times played. The average play time I have is about eleven hours-which is more than double the second place software's average time. Personally, I probably could have done more if it weren't for my job and it's rather ridiculous scheduling times, although I did manage to beat Birthright in the first week, at least. What about you guys? How much have you played Fates this past week?
  20. Just reached Chapter 16, where most of the enemy levels hover around 16-17. However, I realized a good majority of my army is somehow very under leveled (11-12). I've tried to share the exp equally between my whole army. Is there any way to not be under leveled without benching units? Or did I mess up somehow? Any advice is appreciated!
  21. Sorry if there's already a thread for this but how practical would dragonstones be for a conquest hard/classic playthrough from what I've seen dragonstones provide decent bulk so I was thinking about making my MU magic/defense based but would it be more practical to use just stick with regular weapons and focus on a speed based build?
  22. So I'm planning on doing a no-reclass, Hard Mode run, and I'm wondering if it's even feasible. I want to use about 15 units, and thus I'd like to know if anything works. I will use Seals to go from one promotion to another, as I know that Niles and Lazward would want Kunaibreaker and then I'd want them to go Adventurer and Brave Hero. Team: 1. Corrin - Dark Blood 2. Azura - Songstress 3. Xander - Paladin 4. Camilla - Malig Knight 5. Leo - Dark Knight 6. Elise - Strategist 7. Jakob - Butler 8. Kaze - Elite Ninja 9. Niles - Adventurer 10. Benoit - General 11. Arthur - Berserker 12. Lazward - Brave Hero 13. Pieri - Great Knight? 14. Nyx - Sorcerer 15. Flannel - Managarm Also, I'm planning on marrying Jakob and possibly using Deere as backup. I'm guessing that I'm reaching a unit ceiling? Would I be dispersing EXP too thin? A lot of games I tend to use the maximum amount of units that can be used, but I know games like Path of Radiance are way easier even on Hard. I also know that I'm using people like Benoit and Pieri who are probably bad, but I'd just like to see what people who have played the game have to say.
  23. Hey everyone ^^ First of all, this is my first time creating a topic (doesn't mean I'm new to SF though, most of the time I'm here, watching silently ^^) So, I just finished calculating the growth rates for my characters in my Conquest campain, and I'd like some thougts/advices ^^ Note that the growths are calculated for the characters in the classes I defined, but they aren't always they're final classes! For example, MANY characters are GK or Heroes, but while Hero can be a good final class and has also over-average skills, I use GK for the sole purpose of getting the skills, which are excellent (and passing them to the children)... Waiting for your advices! ^^ --> Growths and pairings in the attached files

  25. Hey guys, I was hoping that the Fates community here might be able to help me come to a decision regarding Kanna. I would like my M!Kanna (Manna) to be able to use the dragonstone regularly since his personal skill relies on it and since the dragonstone depends on magic I thought that it would only be logical to make a Manna who is more magically inclined for offence and who has really good defence to balance out the perks/penalties issued from the dragonstones. To do this I was hoping to marry: Femui +MAG/-LCK: -1/3/0/2/-3/0/2 To Rinkah!Ignis ... Rinkah!Ignis: 0/1/-1/-1/1/6/2 To get a Manna with these mods... Ignis!Manna: 0/5/0/2/1/7/4 Does this look ok for a Manna that will utilise the dragonstone more? Upon saying this, I have other questions... Would this waste my Femui's potential? Seeing that magic (and dragonstone) has been nerfed in this game and taking into account how amazing Yato is, would my Femui be wasted? Of course, upon saying this, I can still use Yato with my Dark Blood Femui, however with this set up she will have a magic bias and would not be as effective with it. Would it be better to give up on the dragon Manna and go for a more physical Ignis!Manna? Ignis Manna with +STR/-LCK mother: 4/1/2/0/-1/9/3 For those who have played the game ... How does a physical Kanna perform compared to a magical or dragonstone based Kanna? Is magical/dragonstone Kanna really worth it???
