  1. So, I'm replaying Genealogy of the Holy War again and was wondering about the Valkyrie staff. I've never used it before (either because I never had to or wasn't able to pass it down) on my past playthrough, so I don't know the details of how it works. I've looked some stuff up, so here's what I understand: - it can only be used at the very start of a turn and the user has to be in the base castle - it can be repaired and reused - it can be used on anyone who has died within the current generation Correct me if any of this is wrong, but my question is this: does the revived character return with all items they had when they died, or are they lost and their inventory emptied? I made a pairing that I've decided I don't want, so I was going to kill them and revive them to undo this. I forgot to empty their inventory before killing them, so I want to make sure I've not lost those items. Also, as a side note, I know that killing them will remove the pairing, but when they are revived, do they return with love points cleared, or should I wait to form a new pairing before reviving them? I'm pretty sure that lover points are cleared for the revived character, but I'd appreciate a definite answer. Thanks.
  2. I've started my second run of Genealogy and wanted to try some different pairings. I've already got everyone figured out except Brigid. I'm debating between Dew and Alec, since they are both some of my favorite Gen1 characters and offer something decent in the form of Bargain/Sol or Pursuit/Nihil. What do you guys think? (I know there are way better pairings out there for her, but I'd like to keep the choices down to either Dew or Alec here plz)
  3. Every time i try to patch a working Japanese FE4 ROM it seems like it works, but when i try to load the patched file it no longer works. any advice would be helpful, thanks.. (or just link me a recently patched ROM that would be cool too)
  4. These are thoughts I had while replaying Genealogy and watching a let's play for Thracia 776. I love discussing the lore of Fire Emblem, and especially Jugdral, my favorite continent in the series. I am dabbling with writing a fanfiction about Cigyun, and this is an aspect of Jugdral law and culture that I became a little confused about. I would love to start a conversation about this with anyone else who is also passionate about discussing the lore of Jugdral. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE ENDINGS OF BOTH GAMES. As we know, in the ending of Genealogy of the Holy War Seliph becomes the king of Grannvale (and assorted other kingdoms, depending on your pairings and character deaths) and Leif becomes king of the New Kingdom of Thracia. This seems natural at first glance, but upon further reflection, they may not be the characters with the best claim to their respective thrones. SELIPH At the end of Genealogy of the Holy War, this conversation occurs: Lewyn: The crusaders' heirs will be returning home to assume their rightful thrones. And with the proper leadership, they can pool their strengths again to build a world, one where all can live in happiness. Seliph: A new world, you say... Lewyn: Yeah, Seliph.. a new world. And your role is the most crucial of all. You'll remain here in Belhalla, and you'll guide the rise of this new world as the King of Grannvale. Seliph: Hold on. I'M to be the king?! Lewyn: Mm-hmm. After all that's happened, you and Julia are the last living heirs of the blood of Grannvale's kings. The two of you have inherited the last will of all who lost their lives on this path. These souls watch over you, even now. You mustn't forget the light for which they strove. Seliph: Mm... I understand, Lewyn. So long as I have the power, I'll do all I can. Lewyn: Now, Julia. What do you say? Julia: I agree, of course. I wish to aid Lord Seliph, no, my lord brother, every step of the way. I know this path will be a grueling one, but that's all the more reason to give it my all. (Epilogue, Genealogy of the Holy War) Seliph is the oldest child of Deirdre, who was the heir to the throne. However, he did not inherit the major blood of Saint Heim, or the ability to wield the tome of Naga. His younger sister, Julia, was the only child of Deirdre to do this. It seems here that because of this, Lewyn appoints them to rule side-by-side. However, the epilogue states: In the royal capital of Belhalla itself, with overwhelming support from the public, Seliph was officially hailed as their king. The newly appointed king Seliph devoted himself to rebuilding his land and bringing peace to all, his goal nothing short of a prosperous world free of oppression and bigotry. And by his side, one would always find his loving wife, [wife], and his sister, Princess Julia, regarding his toil with the warmest of eyes... Here, Julia's role as a ruler alongside her brother Seliph, and her conviction to "give it her all" to be a good ruler for Grannvale, is reduced to simply watching over the progress of King Seliph "with warm eyes" as a princess. This seems strange to me, when she is the sole, rightful inheritor of the power of Naga and major holy blood of Saint Heim. According to King Azmur: "Lord Naga's lineage through Saint Heim must not be allowed to perish! I want the two of you to bear a son as soon as possible! If the child inherits the power of Naga, he shall be Prince of Grannvale. And once I pass on he'll become the King of Grannvale. Lord Arvis, until the boy is old enough to rule, you shall be the provisional king. Do raise him well." It seems, according to this, that inheriting "the power of Naga" (which I interpret to mean the power to wield the Naga tome, or major Heim blood) is a necessary precondition to inheriting the throne of Belhalla and thus, Grannvale. Azmur says that IF the child inherits the power of Naga he shall become King of Grannvale. That indicates that if their child does NOT inherit the power of Naga, he will not become King of Grannvale. From this quote alone, it seems that of the three children of Princess Deirdre, Julia alone would possess the right to the throne of Grannvale. However, I also noticed that King Azmur specifically asks for a great- grandson, and only makes reference to a male child inheriting the power of Naga. He doesn't make provisions for a potential great-granddaughter inheriting the power of Naga, which is what he gets in Julia. This seems strange, since he knows female children can inherit this power as well, such as Deirdre. It could be an indication that the Houses of Grannvale practice male-preference primogeniture, although I am not sure how this can exist alongside a system in which it is necessary for a child to possess the power of Naga in order to inherit the throne. It's also interesting that he doesn't name Deirdre Queen of Grannvale, but rather names her husband, Arvis, "provisional king." Even in cultures which practice male-preference primogeniture, it is preferable to have a female heir of your bloodline rule rather than pass control of a kingdom to another House, such as her husband's. (We see this in real world examples such as Queens Mary, Elizabeth I, Victoria, and Elizabeth II.) Does this indicate that in Grannvale women cannot legally serve as monarchs or leaders of Houses? This could be the case, although their neighboring countries don't seem to have the same restrictions, since Queen Rahna ruled Silesse for many years in Lewyn's absence, and Linoan serves as Duchess of Tahra for most of her life. Maybe only single/widowed women can rule countries, but if they marry their husband takes the reigns? Even if this is the case, should the seat of King of Grannvale have gone to Julia's husband and eventual child rather than Seliph, since she was the inheritor of the power of Naga? After all, none of Seliph's children will ever be capable of inheriting major Heim blood, or wielding the tome of Naga, unless he practices incest by marrying Julia (which I do not accept as possible canonically, since it is purely a mistake that this is even possible in the game) or perhaps marries someone else with minor Heim blood, such as Linoan (who is said to have never married in her lifetime). However, it is more than likely that Julia will bear a child with major Heim blood if she ever marries. Would that child not pose a threat to Seliph and his children's claim to the throne of Belhalla? Would this lead to a civil war in the future of Grannvale? As I see it, there are four options for why Seliph becomes the King of Grannvale over Julia: 1) Right of conquest: he led the liberation, he conquered the Empire, therefore the throne is his, and he chooses not to give it up to the rightful heir. 2) Absolute primogeniture: despite King Azmur's words, the eldest child of the heir always inherits the throne of a Kingdom or House, in spite of holy blood inheritance patterns. 3) Male-preference primogeniture: despite the fact that his sister inherited the power of Naga and he did not, the kingdom cannot legally be ruled over by a woman, and so must pass to a male heir. 4) Will of the people: it is stated in his ending that the public overwhelmingly supported his right to rule Grannvale. He was more popular with the people as the "Inheritor of Light," while she carried the stain of her relation to Emperor Arvis and Julius. Whatever the case, with this act, Seliph has essentially changed the ruling House of Grannvale from the House of Belhalla to the House of Chalphy, with the "true" inheritor of the House of Belhalla serving only as an advisor. His children can only inherit major Baldur blood from him, and can only wield Tyrfing, while Julia's descendants will continue to pass down major Heim blood and the ability to wield the tome of Naga. Could this spell civil war for the future of Grannvale? LEIF A similar, indeed, nearly identical, issue happens in the Thracian peninsula. After the liberation army sweeps through, despite discovering and reuniting with his elder sister, Leif takes the throne of Northern Thracian, and eventually the New Kingdom of Thracia. Finn: Lord Leif, the only nation in Northern Thracia that has a male heir is Lenster. The people want you to take the throne and unite Leonster, Alster, Conote, and Manster under one flag. (Epilogue, Thracia 776) Leif's older sister, Altena, simply "helps" him rebuild the country. Leif: I know my sister, Altena, wishes dearly for a restored Thracia as well. Seliph: Indeed. This war has lain waste to Thracia, and I can only imagine the burden laid upon you, the king-to-be of a united peninsula. I pray you give it your best, no matter what happens. Leaf: I will. Seliph: So you're destined for Thracia as well, Princess Altena... Altena: I am, sir. I've got to help the new king in his quest to give rise to a united Thracia. At the very least, I ought to atone for the legacy of my adoptive family... Travant and Arion. Seliph: How wonderful it would be, if Arion were to work together with you... Altena: I...I don't believe that could happen for the time being, sir. But perhaps someday, he'll feel the time is right... (Epilogue, Genealogy of the Holy War) Altena is the oldest child of Quan and Ethlyn, and also the inheritor of major Njörun blood and the Gáe Bolg. It is heavily hinted that Altena eventually marries Arion, inheritor of the blood of Dain and wielder of Gungnir. It seems like this uniting of the two bloodlines that have ruled Thracia for centuries would be the perfect opportunity for the countries to unite under a single House. Years from now, there will probably be Altena-Arion children running around, who have major blood of both Thracian houses in their veins, yet they yield the throne to Leif and his descendants, who only possess minor Njörun blood (and most likely minor Hezul blood, but that's irrelevant to Thracia). This time I see only three possible reasons for this outcome: 1) Right of conquest: like Seliph, Leif lead the liberation army that conquered Thracia, and so has the power to take the throne, regardless of previous traditions of inheritance. 2) Male-preference primogeniture: regardless of the inheritance of holy blood, male children are always given preference to rule over female children. This is supported by Finn's statement that Leonster is "the only nation in Northern Thracia that has a male heir." 3) Will of the people: Finn states that the people if Northern Thracia want Leif to unite the kingdoms there and be their king. This does explain how he could be given right to rule over Northern Thracia; however, I doubt the people of southern Thracia would choose Leif when Arion and Altena still exist. In fact, in Altena's ending in Genealogy of the Holy War, it is stated that Leif "entrusts" the lands of southern Thracia to her. It is not clear what this means, since he still rules over The Kingdom of New Thracia. Perhaps she is a kind of governor figure in the south? Arion's involvement is not mentioned. CONCLUSION These two instances alone seem to suggest that male-preference primogeniture is the established system for inheritance in Jugdral instead of absolute primogeniture or major holy blood/branded children as inheritors. However, with everything else we know about the world of Jugdral, this seems an unlikely form of inheritance for the crusader Houses. How is it that nearly every Duke or King we see in the game has major holy blood if male-preference primogeniture is the practice? It seems unlikely that every inheritor of major holy blood from the crusaders till the time of Sigurd happened to be male. How did the bloodlines continue when we know that children with minor holy blood cannot pass on major holy blood to children (without incest)? Perhaps holy blood preference is the usual system in place, but in these two instances, Leif and Seliph seized thrones only by right of conquest/will of the people. Why do they never bring up the fact they are disinheriting their sisters? What does this say about them and their hunger for power? Could this all come down to the game developers thinking that the only satisfying ending for the player would be to have their main lords become kings of their respective countries? That they thought the players would be disappointed if the ending was "Seliph ceded the right to rule to Julia, inheritor of the power of Naga, and Altena and Arion married and together ruled over a united Thracian peninsula." I don't see a logical reason for these endings when you consider how things must have been done in Jugdral for centuries, and the importance of major holy blood and holy weapons to these ruling Houses. What does this mean for the future of these countries? Several years down the line, would there be civil wars and faction battles? What are the roles of the inheritors of the holy blood of Heim, Dain, and Njörun in the future? What do you think is the best explanation for why things ended the way they did? In possible remakes of these games, do you think the disinheritance of Julia and Altena/Arion should be addressed? Would you want the endings to change, or stay the same?
  5. Hey i am trying to get good at FE and i want to play FE 4. I have already played FE 7, but it still isn't enough. Any help would be appreciated
  6. Hey all, I was playing FE4 for the first time recently, but had some problems, and have had to restart, so I decided I may as well stream it, and have everyone tell me how bad I'm doing. However, now it's not exactly a blind run for most of the game, I thought I'd make it an Ironman, to keep things interesting. First stream will be going up around 8pm GMT (1hr 40m from this post), and will be stopping at some undetermined point afterwards. Come hang out, watch me suffer and guide me through the nightmare to come. Heres the link (also in the sig.): https://www.twitch.tv/dwarfishh
  7. i started as balanced up until the end of the first generation, after that( and after seeing Julius stats for the first time ) i decided to go partially tactical on Crusader weapon users by the end of the game, and that sure helped a lot. so, after reaching the end of this long journey throu FE4, i was curious to see how other people around here managed to get there as well.
  8. I've been playing through FE13 on HM/Ironman, asking my partner to choose all of my pairings. I realized her method for pairings units is visual, she picks whoever look like a cute couple and then confirm the pairing if they visually mesh with their children. I usually pair units based on either optimization or specific builds I have in mind for that run, so this has been an extremely unique experience. So far it's been a lot of fun playing through with another entirely different system for pairings, and I'm curious how others here determine their pairings.
  9. I just completed a run of Genealogy of the Holy War, but discovered the game didn't register my game completion. No new scenes in the opening demo, and no AI option. I reset my game when I got to the results screen, because it didn't seem like I could do anything else. Any idea what I'm supposed to do? In case it's important, I'm using the latest version of the Project Naga patch (which I believe is beta 7). Any help would be appreciated!
  10. I've done a bit of digging into trying to change Seliph's Holy Blood and the best I can find is that I can, " can change Celice's Holy Blood at address 0x4856D." The only problem? I don't know how to find a specific address to edit it. I have both Nightmare 1 and 2.0, but I can't make heads or tails of how to find and edit 0X4856D without using the modules. I know Nightmare 2 has a tool where you can, "Enter value of the byte to search for strings of," but that can't be the method intended. Is there another tool I should be using or a series of modules I don't have? Would messing with the .txt files for Holy Blood have the desired effect?
  11. Hi, I'm pretty inexperienced with hex editing, but I'm trying to change Sigurd's portrait into Arvis' and vice-versa (original, I know /s) I've figured out how to change portraits, but I can't find any database listing which portraits belong to which characters. Does anyone happen to know which number is Arvis' so that I don't have to keep trying each number individually? Thanks in advance.
  12. I'm trying to plan out my Gen I pairings and am a bit stuck. In what ways can I improve what I have here? Pairings (Gen I): Sigurd (Seliph) Deidre (Julia) Quan (Altena) Ethlyn (Leaf) - Silver Sword - Money - Gae Bolg - Light Brand - Thunder Sword - Silver Lance - Return Ring - Skill Ring - Pursuit Ring - Speed Ring - Shield Ring - Elite Ring - Leg Ring Midir (Lester) Aideen (Mana) Ayra (Larcei) Lex (Ulster) - Brave Bow - Recover - Flame sword - Silver Blade - Killer Bow - Warp - Steel Blade - Money - Extra Stave(s) - Effetive Sword Beowulf (Delmud) Raquesis (Nanna) Sylvia (Leen) Dew (Corple) - Shield Sword - Heal - Prayer Sword - Money - Thief Sword - Mend - Knight Ring - Power Ring - Extra Stave(s) Fury (Fee) Claude (Ced) Bridget (Faval) Holyn (Patty) - Brave Lance - Valkyrie - Yewfelle - Sleep Sword - Steel Lance - Reserve - Silver Bow - Brave Sword - Javelin - Elf-tome - Bargain Ring - Wind Sword - Elf-tome - Steel Sword - Barrier Ring Taillte (Tinny) Lewyn (Arthur) ******************Finn******************* - Elf-tome - Forseti - Silver Lance - Magic Ring - Elf-Tome - Javelin EDIT 1: a. Added Reserve to Claude
  13. ... how do you think it would work? What plot elements or mechanics do you think will remain or change? This is just for fun! So, I honestly believe there will be a Jugdral remake in a few years from now. I didn't think it possible at first but then the Gaiden remake came, and if a Gaiden remake is possible, more so a Jugdral one; Seisen no Keifu is a lot of people's favorite entry in the series as well as one of my personal favorites too, and I'm sure IntSys is aware of the former. That being said, there are certain elements I don't think will make it in this time and age, but that are nonetheless of critical importance to the plot of the game (mostly the incest bit). So this is how I think (or hope?) the remake could make it: Genealogy and Thracia chapters will be all in one game. FE4 and FE5 are games that complement each other, so much so it would be hard to sell them separately, as opposed to when they first came out, since Thracia was released 3 years later. Also, they're not really that long because of the limitations of the console back then, and this time the remake would be in the Switch. This is something I've seen done in other games, or like in the remake for Devil Survivor 2 in which they added a whole new arc where there was originally just one, so it is possible. I don't think the maps will be as big, although I actually liked that and would prefer it to stay. But generally speaking, people didn't seem to like that, so they'll probably make the maps smaller (I don't think they can divide them). This would also fit well with my two-games-in-one idea . They'll tone down the incest thing, maybe turning them into cousins instead of siblings, since the important part is the blood more than how closely related they are. Although, I know the cousins deal is taken differently according to the country and culture. Where I come from, it's whatever, kinda weird but not considered incest. There will be no mention of sacrificing babies. They'll probably change it to older children or teens. Nintendo isn't ready to mention babies or toddlers; otherwise, if we were to be realistic, Garon would have tried to kill Corrin off since the beginning instead of locking them up . As for the game mechanics, I think they'll stay the same and they'll blend some from both games, like adding that mechanic in FE5 about mounted units being on foot when inside a castle or similar. But how do you guys think it would go? would you like a FE4/FE5 remake? Or maybe you think it would never make it into existence?
  14. Mostly title, but to expand, I was curious as to best make use of the Wrath skill in FE4. I know that the units that do come with it in vanilla wouldn't likely get too much time to shine with it due to lack of mounts (except promoted Arthur), but I'd still like to learn how to best use the skill in semi-efficient playthroughs (if any one using Tailtiu and Tine can be considered such), especially since I'm not keen on pairing Tailtiu with Finn to give them Miracle.
  15. I'm trying to change the Yewfelle from a bow to a lance. I changed the weapon type to throwing lance in Nightmare, but the animations it uses are glitchy, and it's clearly still counted as a bow. I assume because it's a holy weapon there's more I'd have to alter than if I were trying to change a regular weapon (although I futzed with the holy blood editor and that didn't seem help.) Also, the character that's receiving the Yewfelle has a different class and sprite, and the convo that gives them the weapon tends to (but doesn't always) lock the game, and is visually glitchy. Is there a way to solve that?
  16. I haven't played Genealogy of the Holy war yet so I know next to nothing about the story save for the one plot point that keeps getting spoiled by dumb memes, but I've heard from the FE Wiki that the Manga for Genealogy of the Holy War expands on the plot, characters and world so I thought I'd ask those of you who've played FE4 if a potential remake game should adapt that manga or if you'd be satisfied with an expansion of the game itself. Feel free to let me know if there's already been an ask like this.
  17. This new mode is pretty fun, I hear. Anyone bringing their friends into the battlefield with them? Show off your army!
  18. Hey y'all! So I finally snagged myself an SNES Classic due to sheer luck, hacked the crap outta of it and added FE4 to the mix. Now I'm crazy and I want to make the PERFECT North American box art for FE4 to add to my mini SNES, but I'm having a hard time finding the perfect cover art to work with. I started with the regular box artwork, but then I found pictures of the same art just less cropped. I'm wondering if anyone out there has or has at least seen the complete uncropped (or nearly uncropped) artwork at a high resolution? These are what I've been finding, the 1st image is the closest to what I've been looking for, I'd just need it at a high resolution. But I noticed that there is even more to the image, because the calendar adds extra to the bottom (sadly by sacrificing the top). So yeah, if anyone knows something that I don't I'd love to hear about it. I'm sure that there are more people looking for the complete artwork as well. Thanks everyone!
  19. Is it possible to make 3rd tier classes for Fire Emblem 4? If so how? I thought it could work well since levels don't reset in FE4 so the issue of having to gain extra exp in shorter games wouldn't be an issue it could work something like one of these: 1 to 2: Lv10, 2 to 3: Lv20 1 to 2: Lv15, 2 to 3: Lv25 1 to 2: Lv20, 2 to 3: Lv30 if anyone has any info at all on this please inform me
  20. I have a friend who has has a lot of experience playing Genealogy. However, the most recent time she played the game she witnessed something she had never seen before. Sigurd and Deirdre were next to each other and a heart appeared, resulting in an instant crit. I haven't spent a lot of time playing fe4 so i didn't have too much to contribute to this anomaly, but both of us decided to do a little bit of research. We found nothing. Has anyone else experienced this sort of instant crit before?
  21. Hello there. Two quick questions: - is threre a way to alter the look of the world map in fe4? - is there a way to make enemy retake castles instead of just destroying them?
  22. Enemy unit leadership stars Pros: Encourages you to approach combat differently, since assassinating enemy sub-commanders will allow you to debuff armies rather than fighting them at their full strength. Cons: Flat stat bonuses aren't always a good way to create a challenge. Especially in the case of hit and avoid. Fire emblem AI does not focus on walling off it's support characters. (although it's not a complicated AI to program as shown by games like Vantage Master). FE4 and FE10 use enemy's starting position to forcefully provide a simile of this, but they can be forced out of it far easier than a human or a strategy game AI would and make no effort to get back into this position once they get out of it. In some cases, if you can kill an enemy leader, then you are probably done with the map anyway (or 1 seize turn away), so sticking around to fight weakened becomes tedious and non-threatening. (grind abuse VS something like an early finish bonus) This can be avoided with larger maps or multiple bosses, but those open up their own problems. If the stat bonuses are too large then killing leaders overshadows all other aspects of the combat design (Ogre Battle SNES and N64 being examples of this) Visual confusion if you have enemies benefiting from both an overall leader and a sub-boss leader at same time, some units only receiving bonus from their own group, etc. Maps designed to allow for assassinations are often unnatural (even in other genres) and tend to go ham on player advantages or forcing players to follow a "script" Player unit leadership stars Pros: Encourages you to deploy units that you might not otherwise. gameplay advantages of more hit/avoid Allows a representation of charisma or tactical ability for characters in the story rather than the cursor and unit selector. Cons: In FE10 the effect was free and map wide, which allows for a version of FE 13-14's "backpacking" problem - leadership units could be deployed and left at your base or out of combat solely for the bonus with no risk and don't really add to the scenario. You don't need to position the leadership unit to get the advantage of the effect as with more conventional support bonus buffs or abilities like FE5's charm. (Or something like Langrisser's / Days of Ruin leadership zone) Protecting your VIP to keep the leadership boost as long as possible doesn't really add a gameplay dynamic in a FE context the way microing a "Stimpack" unit in a strategy game does. This is because of the encouragement to keep ALL troops alive, which means that most players will already be moving units conservatively to being with. FE10 overbalances the mechanic, to the point where it's possible to totally ignore it during a blind playthrough. If it was too beneficial, you would have a situation where players would feel obliged to always commit a deployment spot for these characters, which works against the freedom of army composition that Fire Emblem traditionally encourages. It's generally suggested to be placed on Lord units for story/flavor reasons, but in cases where those characters are force-deployed (a design choice of most FE games), it has no functional difference than having all the characters have higher base stats.
  23. 1 year later note: YUNE does FE4 randomizing better these days. Don't go using this one. Over Christmas, i decided I wanted to make a proper FE4 randomizer as opposed to the crappy one I had made and posted to Reddit last summer. Now I have completed a playthrough of it to find and fix all the bugs I could find, and then fixed some more bugs with the help of some people on Reddit, I thought people over here would like it as well. So here we have it: Jespoke's FE4 Randomizer 2.1! And here is a link to the source code: https://github.com/jespoketheepic/JespokesFE4randomizer Randomize options: Classes Promotions Base Stats Growth Rates Skills Holy Blood Holy Blood Growth Bonuses Holy Weapon Bonuses Weapons: Might, Hit, Weight Other things: Various weapons are shuffled around and edited to match the randomized classes. Sword skills can be used and inherited by anyone, and holy weapons can be sold and bought. There is an option to nerf your own units' growth rates, in case you want to go ham on the OP options. There is an option to slightly rebalance weapons A few small things are edited to stop anything from breaking. If you run into anything weird, please tell me so I can try to fix it. The randomizer is made to work with both headered and unheadered roms, with or without the Project Naga translation patch. I want to thank the people in Lamia's FE4 stuff for finding/compiling a lot of the locations in the rom to edit to get everything to work, as well as the FE Binary people who made the Sword Skills patch. Please leave any feedback, suggestions, and fun results you may have ~ Updates: Update 2.1.2: Fixed an issue that came up when using high difficulty settings without randomizing growths. Added 2 new options for Holy Blood allocation: 33% Major 66% Minor, and 4 Minors. Update 2.1.3: Closed the loop created by 2.1.2 Update 2.1.4: Fixed the 2.1.2 problem (hopefully completely this time) The option to have Holy Blood not give growths is now actually considered a valid input. Added some stuff to make issues that get the randomizer stuck easier to pinpoint. Update 2.1.5: Fixed Pursuit rates not being as advertised. Added option to give you a guaranteed Troubadour if you want. Update 2.1.6: Kids and their substitutes now have the same classes, which means substitutes will no longer join with weapons they can't use. The guaranteed healer option now also gives you a guaranteed cleric in the second generation. Fixed the Seliph Holy Blood randomizing function doing exactly the opposite of what it was intended to, which could freeze the randomizer. Update 2.1.7: Tine, Lene, and Nanna now match with their own substitutes, instead of those of each other. That also fixes another problem introduced by the switcheroo, that caused saves to not load and the boss of the prologue to act weird.
  24. After completing FE4 recently, one of possible idea that I had was that what if Julia has gotten the major Loptyr and Julius has gotten the major Naga? Sort of what King Azmur wanted but Julia wasn't expected. I figured the story of the 2nd gen will go the same way, but Julia would have Ishtar as an underling. Not so sure who would be a romantic interest for this version of Julia.
