  1. Look, hear me out here guys. I know Dimitri isn't a super-hero but look at this. And sure, I know this is a knock-off of ViceTOluct's threads, but seeing as he got banned... I'm going to do it. Hell I'm going to put actual thought into it before I spiral into the strawgrasping that makes these fun. Yes. Thought into stupid crackpot theory territory. Because I love crackpot theories... even when I forget the theory. Batman is rich. Dimitri, being the Prince of Faerghus, is also rich. Obviously. Likewise, both Dimitri and Batman lost their parents as children. Both instances turned out to be more than what they initially appeared to be, with the assassination of the King of Faerghus being blamed on the people of Duscur. This was done to mask TWSitD involvement. In a similar fashion (though it's been altered depending on the telling so I'm going with the classic pre-crisis version, though some versions have changed Joe Chill out for Superman villain Metallo, or in the 1989 Batman film the Joker), Joe Chill murdered Bruce Wayne's parents... Thomas and Martha Wayne. While initially appearing as a mugging gone wrong, various accounts have been given (did you know in the first telling of the origin, only Thomas was shot, with Martha succumbing to a heart attack? The more you know). In some accounts it's been vengeance on Thomas Wayne for stopping criminals at a costume party. In others (Batman, the Ultimate Evil by Andrew Vachss specifically) the motivation was that Martha Wayne was secretly a federal agent on the verge of busting up an international crime ring involved in the exploitation of minors in the sort of manner that gets you on a register. I know that's a very roundabout way of saying it but, I'm mildly uncomfortable being any blunter. Point is, it's established in both cases the killers disguised an organized assassination as something else to cover up their own actions. Ok. Next is the fact Dimitri, like Bruce Wayne, was drastically changed by that. Just as Bruce pushed away childhood friend Zatanna Zatara (as seen around the 843/844 mark of Detective comics. I'd give the exact issue, but I forget damn it), Dimitri pushed away Felix, his former best friend. Difference here is Dimitri pushed away Felix by being open about his thirst for vengeance. Bruce pushed Zatanna away for purpose of hiding it. All said, in either case they'd end up associating again. Be it in the Justice League or in Garreg Mach. Not that things would ever quite be the same. Like Batman, Dimitri has a loyal servant, and like Batman he considers him more of a friend than such. I'm talking about Dedue and Alfred. Fun fact. Back in the 1980s, Alfred was supposed to be a WWII Veteran who fought with the French Resistance. Not that that's been referenced since Crisis on Infinite Earths... but it's a funny thing. Dimitri, much like Batman, has an excellent cape post-timeskip, and has taken to recruiting the young into his personal vendetta. Much like Batman at certain points in his career (right after Jason Todd's death at the hands of the Joker), he's pretty much snapped. Also like Batman, an individual associated with the law enforcement (as that's what the Knights of Seiros basically are in Fodlan) serves to help keep him in line through this harsh period. Yes. Gilbert is his Gordon. While I've already likened Dedue to Alfred, he doubles as a "Superman", in that as a knight, he's very much a "man of steel". Impervious to almost all harm... except magic. Which coincidentally, besides Kryptonite, is one of Superman's weaknesses... albeit less often exploited. Presumably because not every hood can learn magic, but every hood can pick up a green glowing rock. Dimitri, pre-timeskip, wears a mask. Not some physical mask, but he hides his fractured psyche behind a facade of normalcy that cracks with the more literal mask Edelgard employed as the Flame Emperor. If you listen to Felix, he was like this since the Duscur incident, which has no doubt lead to his training for vengeance. Felix also claims that he's different after his redemption arc is complete in the war phase. This means, Dimitri no longer needs the mask, he's finally recovered. Something, Batman is yet to do. Also of note, like Batman has evaded leadership of the Justice League for the most part despite his intelligence making him an ideal candidate, Dimitri does not involve himself in war phase planning while in his vengeance crazed mode. This may be for different reasons, with one preferring to avoid the attention, while the other is more than a little mad at that point. Also something something Edelgard/PoisonIvy or Edelgard/Catwoman loveinterest/enemy blah blah claptrap even I know is pushing credibility too far. Yeah, I think I've constructed a case. Whether it holds any water, or is just me distracting myself from a grim reality is up for debate. Hope it was a fun read at least.
  2. Chapter 20 can go die in a ditch somewhere in FE hell
  3. Hello everyone, I have been itching to show off my work for my ongoing Ocarina of Time Mod. Right now, I am not too keen on showing off or revealing the story, but I will share some WIP overworld areas. Some of these maps are older than others but they all retain quality that I deem to be shareable. These will and do work on a real N64, some videos were recorded on an emulator but every new video will be hardware recorded. I hope you all enjoy!
  4. So I was surfing the Romhacking.net forums a few days ago...and apparently, someone named "Cirosan" released this! https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3961/ That's right. Patch that puppy, and you'll always go through the Prologue on all difficulties! And if you want, you can use the version of it that also gets rid of Gaiden requirements. No more having to kill off your characters! You'll wanna be careful though; H5 Prologue is no picnic. The guy had to make some drastic changes to Prologue I and II just to make them possible. Giving Marth a Vulnerary at the start, making certain enemies drop Vulneraries, and even changing the class and equipment of some of those enemies...those are all things he did. And even then, the difficulty was still comparable to Lunatic Reverse on FE12... ... Course, on the other hand, Chapters 1-3 end up being a lot easier; to the point where my Marth was doubling the Chapter 1 pirates . But yeah, anyone else hear of those?
  5. Happy Festivus to everyone! I hope you all have your aluminum poles set up. Since the airing of grievances is a traditional part of the Festivus celebration, I think it's appropriate we bring them to the fore. In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, there is no way to adjust the volume. It blares any time I try to boot it up, which isn't great for playing it anywhere but home. The McRib will be going away soon, and should really be available year round. Micaiah still isn't in Fire Emblem Heroes yet, and half of the new Banners are seasonal units. I'll be keeping my eye out for a Festivus Miracle, and wish everyone well until Festivus comes to a close.
  6. So I just finished playing Binding Blade, which is my last gba title. I want to jump into the NES/SNES era of games and thought Genealogy would be a good snes era game to start with. But is there any other title I should play before that? And what tips should I know before jumping in? Thanks in advance.
  7. SOURCE: http://nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-q1-financial-results-fy32018-switch-at-4-7-million-shipped-total/ So during Nintendo's financial report, they highlighted some figures for the Switch and 3DS. Interestingly enough, they decided to mention the following: "For Nintendo 3DS, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia was released in Japan in April and overseas in May and has been a popular title." Could this be an indication that Shadows of Valentia sold much better than previously expected, or is this just Nintendo PR speak for the 3DS? Perhaps IS will be willing to remake other games in the series if this game was considered "popular" by Nintendo.
  8. In case anyone wants them for anything I recorded the stats of enemies as I beat the game. Alm & Act 5: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eAkDo4Xi-6coOTH5lzPn4fJA77oJ_uSviyvui3X_H24/edit?usp=sharing Celica: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iB6Z9i-oBEt4hgOgT5Q1_IqgK06ze4PWZ7iu9BU1OcA/edit?usp=sharing There were a few terror battles in Act 5 I didn't record and I didn't do any optional stuff like the encounters, but they weren't really difficult. Can extract boss data from these too in case it's wanted for the main site.
  9. I've been looking through the forging upgrades for weapons in preparation for post-game content and it seems as though it would be better to know about which things are more worth getting ahead of time, since gold/skills take a while to farm/grind. Of course it's best to go for variety, but what are the "must-haves" for this game for various types of units? Also, I personally went with rings and shields instead of weapons for healers and armored units, does that seem like a good strat, or maybe just confirmation bias? I made a small list of (imo) some of the best choices. I don't think I'm missing anything, though I haven't done as much research as others have, probably. [Spoiler: Weapon names listed below]
  10. ok, I finished the game for the first time( amazing game). but the ending got this weird text( probably because of translation maybe?) afer seizing the final castle and then froze on this screen. Is it a bug or maybe it was a translation bug?
  11. Working on an FE fangame called Fire Emblem: Legacy of Fallen Stars. I made an r/fireemblem post about it which covers a lot, and the comments cover even more. Link I'm posting it here as well because, although I'm more than happy with the amount of composers, mugspriters, writers, and programmers that have stepped up, there are still a few issues I need help with, and, of course, more publicity never helps. First of all, what should I do for actual gameplay? I have this whole thing planned with a new skill system and branching classes and three tiers of promotion and all that, but...I can't do much of that with just simple romhack tools. Generally, would it be smarter to try to make a ton of new systems in a rom hack, or simply wait until FEXNA releases? I'd reccommend reading the entire thread above, or at least most of it, before commenting here as a lot of questions were answered there.
  12. Do forgive me if there is an specific help section for this kind of stuff on the forums and I could not find it. I'm kinda new here. My problem is that I'm having a bit of trouble trying to emultion FE4 with the Naga translation. I tried updating the patch using Lunar IPS and neither the headered or unheadered patches work, the game just boots up the screen on the screenshot provided and then remains dark forever. the Delta patcher doesn't work for me either, so I'm not really sure what to do. Could anyone help me?
  13. Guys if you like Fe4 and want to watch an LP of it with a twist make sure to watch this.
  14. Note: This post will contain open spoilers for both Trails of Cold Steel and Trails of Cold Steel II. If you have not played these games, I seriously suggest turning away now. As the Sky trilogy and the Crossbell duology are not required to understand what is happening during the Cold Steel games, I ask that all posts relating to the Sky trilogy and the Crossbell duology are to be kept under spoiler tags and clearly labelled. With that being said... (Official website) Some screenshots:

  16. Hello! I, like many others, have found that owning a physical copy of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance has become impossible without first shelling out hundreds of dollars. Plus, who has time to plugin their Gamecube, sit down, and play a game anymore? Therefore, as my skills in Fire Emblem hacking are few, I am proposing a group project to remake PoR in a pixelated, more portable format. This game will be called Fire Emblem: Portable Radiance (or Path of Radiance, we can vote on this later) It will be based off of the FE7 Rom and will be as close to the original as humanly possible. Some features will have to be cut because either they are bad gameplay elements or they are not possible on the Gameboy Advanced hardware. These will include: Biorhythms Laguz Gauges (will be replaced by claws, beak, etc. that function like infinite dragonstones, but with certain drawbacks) Skills (unless someone can implement class-specific skills like Sol, Aether, Impale, etc.) Bonus Exp. (unless someone can implement it easily) Trial Maps (DLC???? ) Support Bonuses Automatic Class-Ups (unless able to be implemented, each character could come with a class-up item that only worked at level 20) In-battle Recruitment (as far as I know this is not possible, except for villages) The Ranger class (seriously, Intelligent Systems?) This list is not final. Many things will be added to or removed from the list during development. Now onto the positive stuff. The development team!! YAYYYYY!!! I will act as the group/project manager and will be in charge of organization, updates and what the project should be like. Here is the list of open positions that need to be filled and their requirements: Assistant Manager - Aids manager and handles problems with staff, file management, etc. Must be readily available to answer questions from staff. Sprites:Pixel Artist - Chief of Sprite staff. Someone who has past experience in FE pixel art creation. Must be able to adapt portraits, overworld sprites, in-battle sprites, and item icons from source material into the project. Battle Animator - Similar to pixel artist, but for the characters' movements in battle. If able, can be combined with pixel artist. Background and Tile Set Editor - Must be able to edit backgrounds and tile sets (terrain) to resemble source material. Coding: (must be able to use Nightmare and other coding programs)Chief Coder - Codes main game play elements, such as text and events, directly from the source material. Also manages other coders. Must have experience hacking GBA Fire Emblem titles Character Coder - Codes all of the character info, stats, classes, etc. from source material. Map Editor - Edits in-game levels to match the source material. Also edits movement costs. Tutorial Get-ridder - Gets rid of the tutorial. Weapon Coder - Edits weapons to match source material. Menu Editor - Edits menus and such to match source material Miscellaneous:Compiler - Hardest job. Must compile all the data to make one coherent game. Must produce a demo with one level and all features and then produce the full game. Bug Tester - Make sure all features work as they are supposed to. Beta Tester - Much like the bug tester, makes sure every version of the patch is fully playable before release. Many of these jobs can be take by one person if they have the necessary skill sets, so don't me scared off by the big staff. All members who work on or contribute to the remake project will have the name they prefer in the game's credits. Alright! I f you have any questions about the projects, jobs, or want to sign up for a position, email me at gr8andepic1@gmail.com (don't spam me; It's a waste of time.) Let's make this remake a reality!
  17. Hello everyone! Today I started a Let's Play of DLuna's ReDuX of FE6 on hard mode. There are no special conditions this time just a straight up LP. Also, I just started uploading episode 5 of my LP of FE7 Leila Edition HHM Hector and Females only, Chapter 14. I managed to complete the chapter using only Hector, Leila, Rebecca and Serra, and towards the end, Priscilla. Granted the characters are slightly modified, but it's nothing game breaking or even remotely trivializing. I'm quite proud of it, and I welcome you all to take a look. Both videos should be done uploading shortly. The link to my channel is in my signature. Have a great day, Gryphon
  18. If anyone could make a Sacred Stones revision of Seliph from FE4, that'd be awesome! Seliph/Celice btw vvv and by revision I mean his portrait (ghasty edit, don't double post please, just edit this one) Sweeeeeeet!
  19. She awoke to the smell of sweet mint and lemon. Cakes and tea were being prepared by the innkeeper. Pleiada rose from her bed, and walked to towards the window. She bunched the orange curtain together and tied it with a piece of rope that lay on the windowsill. She looked outside to see that the citizens had already begun their day. She stared down at a man that was rushing frantically. He was carrying various fruits, practically juggling them as he ran down through the plaza full of people. It was a busy day, and she had to get ready for her visitors who would be arriving soon. Pleiada sat at her vanity and began to brush her hair. Her curly locks shined a roseate blonde, and cascaded over her slender and pale shoulders. Staring at her reflection, and into her amber eyes. She entertained the thought of hands caressing her shoulders, and braiding her hair. With a sigh she stood from her seat and put on her white bustier. She pulled a white cotton dress over her torso, with the skirt landing just below her knees. She wore a honey coloured cloak, but left the hood down. She lifted her white stockings over her thighs, and started to put on her boots before she heard a knock at the door. "Miss, I believe you have some guests waiting for you downstairs. Shall I tell them that you will be arriving soon?" the innkeeper called through the door. "Yes, tell them as such." Pleiada responded. "Very good. I have tea and cakes if you would like to come down and break your fast as well." the innkeeper lady insisted. "Thank you." She replied. Pleiada retrieved the letter from her drawer and read it one last time before she put it back in the envelope and into her cloak pocket. She wondered who would turn up to escort her to such an obscure location in the middle of the forest. She had been receiving letters from what she believed to be a secret admirer. They were poems, and rather cryptic, but she loved a good mystery. She yearned for adventure, but did not have the skills or courage to set out on her own. Her friends and acquaintances back home would have laughed at the suggestion. She opened the door and descended the staircase, not knowing who would be there to greet her. She had never done business with mercenaries before. She walked into the reception hall. "Hello, my name is Pleiada. I am here to pay for you to escort me to the Spectral Woodlands. Pleased to meet you." She curtsied.
  20. Topic. I watch Pewdiepie all day, every day. He is truly a great man and has helped me out of my depression. I owe him my life.
  21. I'm on the 6th chapter, and I think I can safely say that this isn't a particularly easy FE game. I just want to make sure that everything I'm doing is acceptable. Thany died. Lugh died (but I'm hoping I will get a better mage/dark mage later). Dorothy died (but my Wolt is already better than her anyway). My Chad is pretty powerful (he is literally about to hit his speed cap already), so I stole Cath's lockpicks and killed her. I've recruited everybody else so far, and no one else died. Any suggestions for later in the game? I think my only real significant mistake here is overpowering Chad. I just wanted him to be a formidable opponent/lockpick thief combo. It may have been worth it, though, because he is about as strong and skilled as a good mercenary.
  22. As most people know, Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi as many issues with it. You can ask anyone who has played. Most will tell you that the hit rates are atrocious, finding good units to use or at least units that are RNG blessed is a huge hassle, Roy SUCKS and first time players usually say: "What the hell? Why can't I promote my thief?" So, over a year ago, I set out to fix these issues as best I can. I started out with ZERO hacking knowledge and relied on the community tools and guides provided by serenesforest. Suffice to say, I did less than adequate... But with FEE3 just around the corner I decided to start from scratch and give it another shot. And this time around, I think I've had much more success. So without further ado, here are definitions of these issues I aim to fix: 1. Bad units : Too many units go unused and, forgive me if this sounds corny, unloved. Most people call these units "Bad Units" because their growth rates are sub-par and people deem them "not worth their time." 2. Awful Hit Rates : In most FE games, bad hit rates are linked to a unit's skill stats. However, this isn't always the case in FE6. Most people know this, so I'll keep this point brief. Even units with superb skill stat can miss in this game because the hit rates on most weapons SUCK. 3. Class limitations (thief, bard, etc...) : A lot of possible good units are hindered in this game because they fit into a certain class. For example: thieves got the short end of the stick with 1st class stat caps and limited levels of growth. 4. Practical Use : Many units go unused in the game because the time they are recruited makes their use impractical. A good example of this is Sofiya; whom comes so late in the game and at such a low level that using her is more of a liability than an asset. Another example is prepromoted units early in the game that drain exp from other units with little return, again, making them more a liability than an asset. **NOTE - This does not apply to units such as Niime, Yodel or Karel who have just had their levels lowered to 15 to take advantage of their new growths (Karel needs no advantage, but is sure was fun to do! lol) How I attempted to fix these issues: (Points below match points above) 1. Using units current growths as a percentage with their base stat total, I assign all units the same base stat total of 325 (so far, 325 seems to be the best middle ground; 350 just barely being too high and anything lower than 325 not making a significant impact on some units) in an attempt to make all units relatively the same as far as use, but keep their unique traits that makes them good (such as Barth and his HP). 2. To fix the awful hit rates, I simply modified all weapons in the game to have the hit rates of their counterparts in FE7. I also took the creative liberty to edit some weapons in ways I thought appropriate: such as uses and range (GET AT ME SHORT BOW HATERS!!!). 3. This was took a lot of work to fix for certain units. The thieves and bards/dancers were easy enough; calculate their 20/20 stats average stats (limitations from the first class included for realism) and then make their current growth rates match rates that would result in their 20/20 stats while still in their base class (I also increased the stat caps to FE8's Assassins). What was difficult was the prepremoted units. It's somewhat complicated so for people interested, here's how I did it: 4. I used the above method on prepremoted to make it so the player would receive an adequate return, at least, for trying to level them up so much. Overly leveled units whom don't have their stats reflect their current level have had their levels reduced in order for growth rates to compensate. And finally, Sofiya has been leveled up so now she can be useful without "kill-feeding" her. That's all I have for now. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them and constructive criticism is always welcome. Something to keep in mind: While this hack does follow what I listed above, there are also small details throughout the hack that I thought would add to the gameplay experience; so, please keep this in mind if you suddenly receive an item you wouldn't normally be able to get. ; ] Screenshots: Changes suggested by users: HAVE FUN! 23. Alright so Fate had me write an intro story to introduce my writing skills, and so I have this story that Bly also wanted to read, and I feel like at this point I should share it Because you know, two people is a majority. Anyway, here's the first er... First post of it, I'll be updating it when the flow comes to me. So... I don't know. I'm sorry for the format, this is how I do forum writing for longer stories. It appeals to my eyes. Lack of a Covenant One day, a boy of the age 15 had arrived in the world Parellia with nothing but the clothes on his back. His hair shone with the color of the sun, and his eyes as blue as the ocean. With the help of his explorative nature and the natives of the land, he was able to save the planet from eminent destruction at the hands of the Chimeron’s army. The demon king was defeated, and the land had a new ruler. Homesick, the hero left for home in the company of an elf named Fae. His legend became a folkstory for the people of Parellia; whenever the world needed a savior, those that were unaffected by magic would appear and help them in their hour of need. 2395 years afterwards, a hero was to return, but none ever came. Without someone to help, the elven kingdom of Rueen was destroyed. The elves became an extinct species, replaced by the Goblins. These goblins ended up becoming pirates and spreading their tortured pain throughout all of the world. It was around this time that a boy named Ren was visited in a dream. Without a hero, their world will die. Without a hero, this world will die The link has been made, whether you want it to or not. The hero won’t come. We need a hero. The boy looked around slowly within his dream. He was standing above the tower of Dabbel in Parellia He looked down at the world below him. Suddenly the planet began to quake; the tower collapsed under him. He fell from story to story of the tower, before reaching the final story, or rather the first. He looked out into a city unknown to him, devoid of life. He wandered around for what seemed to be ages, looking through the ruins. Suddenly, voices began ringing in his head. His name was being repeated several times over, as if sung by choirs of angels. The world began to shake even more violently. “Ren, Ren, Ren, Ren! Wake up! Wake up this instant,” His sister, Lin, was standing over him. Her radiant beauty blinded by that of the sun, she quickly dragged him out of bed as soon as she saw that he was waking up. “Hey, hey, hey! What’s the rush? I mean it’s only…” He had forgotten it was his own birthday. “Oh, I guess you’re here to drag me to the party,” he said with a smile. However, as the sun’s glare disappeared, he noticed the urgent look on her face. Quickly, he jumped out of bed and ran towards the front door, his sister right behind him, holding his hand tightly. “What a way to start the year…” We need a hero. “What did you say,” Ren stopped with a hand on the door handle, looking back at his sister. “I didn’t say anything. Are you alright,” She looked at him with a concerned look on her face. Step outside. “Ah, I must be imagining things…” Ren opened his front door slowly, surprised to see a giant vortex of swirling violet energy looming over his hometown. It had completely eclipsed the sun. He stepped outside and looked into the sky. “Ren!” “What is it,” Ren looked around confused, only to realize that the ground was no longer under him. He began to drift upwards toward the whirlpool as if he were a balloon. “No, no, no, no, no,” He did his best to swim through the air, at least back to the ground, but to no avail. The vortex swallowed him up whole. Suddenly he was blind. Expergiscere anima Chiean Hero, Ren. The world needs a hero. You will have to accept this role. Nobody else can do it. Fear not, you are not alone. You understand me, right? Expergiscere anima The world felt cold. Winds were blowing. Ren dare not open his eyes, for he feared the worst. He could feel the ice and snow under him, and he could hear something quite loud nearby. He felt around and slowly climbed to his feet. Then, he peeked through one eye, seeing the ice and snow that had surrounded him. The glare of the Parellian sun off of this surface had made him think he had been in the clouds. The cold, light, and emptiness reminded him of heaven somehow. Believing himself to be dead, he began to cry. “What’re ya crying about, ya big baby? We’re not dead. Trust me, if you were dead, we wouldn’t be here, now would we,” a man retorted. Ren looked up and suddenly he found himself staring at not one, but two of his friends, alongside his sister. His best friend, Taiga the fiery wonder, was the first he noticed. His red hair stuck out against the white tundra most. He was a little Taller than Ren, standing at six feet tall. He wore a long sleeved black shirt and blue jeans, and red sneakers. Next was his godfather Sain, who was a dear friend of his parents before they had disappeared, and who had always made sure to check in on them. Sain himself stood abnormally tall at a height of six feet and eleven inches. He was athletic, but more than that he had trained alongside Ren’s parents in martial arts. He was the one who had been speaking. “Well… I um…” Ren began to stutter “Where are we?” “Parellia,” A being slowly descended from the sky, blocked by the light of the Parellian Sun. Upon landing, they identified her for the elven beauty she was. Taller than even Sain, she looked down at them with a gentle smile. Her blonde hair flowed in the wind, even moreso than anyone else’s. Her eyes, a bright multicolored show of dazzling light. She wore a suit of dazzling obsidian armor, which seemed to contrast with her benevolent nature. As she spoke of the prophecy which was to be fulfilled, the group of four simply listened in awe. She spoke of a blessing that was placed on Ren’s parents, which passed onto him, as well as the role they would all play. The three of them, Sain, Lin, and Taiga were to help drive Ren towards his destiny of being the hero that would save this world. She smiled and begin flying away, promising that they would meet again after they found the golden fruit of green. Before leaving, she sang slowly, and as she sang, the group was enveloped in yet another light. Each time a verse was done, another would disappear, in the order of Taiga, Sain, Ren, and Lin. One hero to try and save the world One hero to run away in fear Do not try to become one or another Or you will find you have destroyed your brother. Instead, they wandered aimlessly in the forest, awed by the scenery. What intrigued Ren the most about this area were the fruit of various shapes and sizes. He found one fruit the size of his head, but it seemed to resemble a chocolate bar. He and his friends were worried about the consequences of eating such strange fruit though, and decided that they would leave such an option for a last resort, as they found fruits that were similar to the ones on their planet as well. Upon walking in the woods for three hours however, the group came across a group of trees with what seemed to be lemons, and a tree of limes next to each other. Surrounding these trees were a group of lemons and limes that had fallen off the trees. At first, Taiga, Sain, and Lin watched as Ren began Biting into Lemon after Lemon before Sain told him that lemons were already yellow. He’d have to look for a lime that had turned golden, most likely from becoming too ripe. Angered, Ren spat lemon seeds at the three of them. For another four hours, the four of them looked through the lemons and limes, that had fallen on the ground. As the sun set, Ren’s eyes diverted upwards to the stars filling the sky; the stars were plentiful, more so than back home. Taiga looked alongside him, and Lin and Sain kept their eyes averted to the ground, still looking for the golden lime. “Hey,” Ren said, looking at Taiga. “Why don’t we climb the trees for a better view?” “Sure,” Taiga said with a smile. The two of them climbed the two different trees, Ren on the lime tree, and Taiga on the lemon tree. When they reached the top of the trees, they found themselves to be quite awed at what they found. The stars that seemed biggest weren’t truly stars. They were actually more fruit. They each grabbed one and took a bite, before silently falling into a trance. They found themselves in a desert. Near to them was a tower, from which agonizing screams could be heard. Ren trembled in fear “I’d rather back off, Taiga. Maybe we should find a way back.” “Ren, you gotta be braver, you are the hero, right? Besides, knowing this kind of world, I’m almost positive the way back is in there.” Taiga led the two of them into the tower, where they found what seemed to be a mannequin crucified. Disturbed, the two of them began backing off towards the exit, which had disappeared. The screaming became louder, and Taiga fell to the ground, clutching his chest, his screams joining that of the mannequin’s. “Taiga! Ah… I'm sorry…” Ren was a coward, but no fool. His friend should not have followed him, the fruit were meant for him, this new realm was only for his eyes to view. He was blessed by the goddess, and thus, the pressures and torments that had been given to him were for him to face alone. Ren stood up and glared at the mannequin. Mustering his courage, he charged at it, and when he got close enough, he ripped the cross out of the ground and slammed it into the ground four times. Each time he did, the ground shook, and the tower began to crumble. On the fourth impact, the world completely shattered around them. Taiga would wake up, later claiming that the fruit had simply knocked him out. Ren however, stayed awake in the void of darkness around him. He saw a light in the distance and flew towards it. It was another golden fruit, this one an apple with the letter G on it. As he took a bite, he too awoke back in the world that he knew as Parellia, on the ground. He’d fallen out of the tree. He held his head, but realized that he had not been hurt. Sain caught him as soon as he began to fall. He smiled, and said nothing to either of them about what had happened in the new realm. ______________________________________________________________________________ Creation of the Second Hero Taiga was angered of what had happened that night. He felt helpless, and he regret that he was only able to hinder Ren’s progress. He ended up staying in the tree as his friends slept below him. As he thought to himself about his own shortcomings, a man appeared on the tree across from him. He had long black hair and a blindfold over his eyes. He wore what seemed to be flowing robes, and his stature was just as large as that of the elf from before, but one could tell easily that this was a man. He held a black apple out to Taiga, who simply stared at him. “You could walk this world a thousand times with these people, and discover nothing,” The man said, “Or you can begin your own journey. A single man can accomplish much with the determination. I will grant you the power to rival the hero. What he gains is yours, and what you gain shall be his. You will be one half, and he the other. Who remains the shadow is up to you.” “I…” Taiga was confused. He wanted this. He truly did, but would he be able to leave them. Then he remembered Ren’s hesitation. Taiga held his hands out, and the man in black tossed him the corrupted apple. Taiga then took one bite, and the overflowing energy nearly overwhelmed him. “Power... So this is it, huh?” Taiga then began flying, the power of flight given to Ren by the first fruit. Taiga used this to leave the group, heading North towards the icy lands of Lunar Çarenta. ___________________________________________________________ A Tale of Two Heroes Upon waking, Ren could sense Taiga’s presence in the icy tundra. He seemed to be fleeing from something, or rather someone. Ren could sense this man’s power from the forest, even one country away. Ren looked to his remaining group, who had been sitting under the tree, talking. “Guys! Taiga, he’s… he left us! We need to find him,” Ren cried out to Sain and Lin, who only shook their heads no. “Taiga has his own journey, Ren,” Lin stated “Taiga is doing this because he’s your rival,” Sain stood up slowly with a solemn look on his face “He wants to be a hero too. Do you not remember? Besides, once this is over, we go home. So if you want to get home with him, your only hope is to get stronger.” Sain began walking westward, when the elven beauty from before appeared to them. Without saying a word, she waved a hand, and the three of them appeared on the central country of Solar Çarenta, near the City of Dreams to the north. Upon walking into the city, they were not greeted with a welcome of any sort. They simply blended into the crowd. They began their journey from a point of new beginnings.
  24. So I'm new to these forums. *applause* I'm a new Fire Emblem character, but I absolutely love Awakening. Can't find a better RPG out there. Thing is, I tend to be someone who in the terms of Pokémon, must get the perfect movesets. But this isn't Pokémon. So... would it be skillsets? Yes, let's go with that. This tends to require a good bit of second seals, and the occasional master seal, training in the EXP DLC. Usually one, maybe even two Master Seals, and 3-5 Second Seals are used per character. Getting them is a challenge for sure. I can always farm Harvest Scramble for that Master Seal, but I've come into trouble finding the Second ones. Anna sells them, yes, I'm aware of this. But there's no guarantee that she'll have them in stock, should she even appear on the map, for which me and my horrid luck, is never. So, I've looked around, and apparently that Champions of Yore villages, in the first one, tend to have the second seals, and the occasional Door. What's the thing called... The blue little... Hmm... Well, you kn- Rift Door! Yes, that. I tend to find those, yes. But as of late, instead of finding the Second Seals and Rift Doors, mixed in with the every-now-and-then Goddess Icon or Secret Book, I'm finding... Towering Bows and Bronze Weapons, every time. I usually have my plan to go to the villages planned out, save, and then put it into effect. Should I not get what I desire, I turn off my game, go back to the saved point, and try again, as they WILL change. So does anyone have any ideas what I can do? More importantly, am I losing my mind, or am I REALLY running the map dry of resources I can get? Has anyone got any other Second Seals from Champions of Yore 2 or 3? Again, I'm new to these forums... so if I'm doing something wrong, I apologize...
