  2. They change your class based on personality what does that mean, also i made my character talent mercenary yet i have my heart seal change for a samurai.
  3. Hello everyone! Today I started a Let's Play of DLuna's ReDuX of FE6 on hard mode. There are no special conditions this time just a straight up LP. Also, I just started uploading episode 5 of my LP of FE7 Leila Edition HHM Hector and Females only, Chapter 14. I managed to complete the chapter using only Hector, Leila, Rebecca and Serra, and towards the end, Priscilla. Granted the characters are slightly modified, but it's nothing game breaking or even remotely trivializing. I'm quite proud of it, and I welcome you all to take a look. Both videos should be done uploading shortly. The link to my channel is in my signature. Have a great day, Gryphon
  4. So, there are many new seals in the Fates game. Buddy, Marriage (I believe), Master, Second, Lodestar, Great Lord; etc. How do you get the Buddy/Marriage ones? When you update your store, do you earn the ability to buy Master & Second? Is there anywhere else to get the other seals besides the DLC?
  5. So I've been playing around with seals in Fire Emblem If: Kingdom of Light, and I've noticed a few things. I was told that if you use a marriage seal on a couple who have the same primary class, nothing would happen. However, I married Hinoka off to Tsubaki (both Pegasus Warrior primary), and while she was buddy sealed off as a priest (Sakura A+) and he was parallel sealed as a samurai, I tried using a marriage seal on Hinoka, and she turned into a samurai as well. I married Sakura off to Asama, and while I had already buddy sealed him off to Tsubaki as a Pegasus warrior, Sakura could use the seal to become a Herb Merchant. Thought y'all should know. This could mean that buddy seals work similarly, but maybe not. I'll report back after some more experimenting. Saisou and Suzukaze's supports would still be redundant though. Sad face. Yes, I used a cheat thingy for max cash and I'm playing Normal-Casual, partly because I don't understand written Japanese, and partly because I'm just d##king around and experimenting. If you have anything you want me to test out (within reason), feel free to ask! I'm waiting for the English patch project to get further and the youtuber who is posting his playthroughs with the patch, etc, so I'm stuck either messing around after chapter 12 or going onward but not knowing what's going on, so something to work on could be interesting!
  6. Since I really like the butler class I have been checking how to get an army of butlers. From what I can gather from the characters, their available classes and my understanding of this thread on marriage seals and children inheriting classes, this would be the playthrough for Nohr with the most butlers: M!Kamui (2nd class Rod Knight -> Butler) x Zero (Marriage Seal -> Butler) 1 and 2 Joker (Butler) x (Azura, Luna, Belka, Pieri or Nyx) -> Deer (Rod Knight by default -> Butler) 3, and 4 Azura x (Joker, Odin, Lazward, Silas, Kaze or Flanell) -> Shigure (Rod Knight by inheritance instead of Songstress -> Butler) 5 Felicia x Xander (Marriage Seal -> Butler) -> Siegbert (Rod Knight by inheritance -> Butler) 6 and 7 Effie x Benoit (Marriage Seal -> Butler, because he already has her Knight class) -> Ignis (inherits Effie's Rod Knight because he already has Knight -> Butler) 8 and 9 Charlotte x Arthur (Marriage Seal -> Butler, because he already has her Fighter class) -> Lutz (inherits Charlotte's Rod Knight because he already inherits Arthur's Fighter -> Butler) 10 and 11 Leo (2nd class Rod Knight -> Butler) x (Luna, Belka, Pieri or Nyx) -> Foleo (Rod Knight by default -> Butler) 12 and 13 Elise x (Odin, Lazward or Flanell) (Marriage Seal -> Butler) -> No male child :( 14 Silas and Kaze (Buddy Seal with Joker -> Butler) 15 and 16 16 Butlers For a 3rd Route Playthrough you can substitue: F!Kamui (2nd Class Rod Knight) x (any Hoshido male with a male child) (Marriage Seal->Butler) -> M!Kanna (inherits Rod Knight) and Dad's male child (probably won't inherit Rod Knight but Dark Prince) +-0 Felicia x (any Hoshido male with a male child) (Marriage Seal->Butler) -> male child (inherits Rod Knight -> Butler) +-0 Elise x Ryoma (Marriage Seal -> Butler) -> Shinonome (Rod Knight by inheritance -> Butler) +1 Takumi (Buddy Seal with Joker -> Butler) +1 Kisaragi (Buddy Seal with Foleo or Deere) +1 Grey (Buddy Seal with Deere) +1 20 Butlers, but you will have to use your F!Kamui as a non-Butler. For 3rd Route you could also use M!Kamui and marry any of the females you wish instead of Zero, because you have too many Butlers for the final map anyway.
  7. So I'm very confused on how Seals work in Fates, what does the parallel seal do? And is it true that when you promote to a second tier class, you can't move back down? And with parallel seals, if your level stays the same, wouldn't that mean that when you reach level 20, you can't raise your stats any higher? Any help would be appreciated!
  8. I'm on the 6th chapter, and I think I can safely say that this isn't a particularly easy FE game. I just want to make sure that everything I'm doing is acceptable. Thany died. Lugh died (but I'm hoping I will get a better mage/dark mage later). Dorothy died (but my Wolt is already better than her anyway). My Chad is pretty powerful (he is literally about to hit his speed cap already), so I stole Cath's lockpicks and killed her. I've recruited everybody else so far, and no one else died. Any suggestions for later in the game? I think my only real significant mistake here is overpowering Chad. I just wanted him to be a formidable opponent/lockpick thief combo. It may have been worth it, though, because he is about as strong and skilled as a good mercenary.
  9. As most people know, Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi as many issues with it. You can ask anyone who has played. Most will tell you that the hit rates are atrocious, finding good units to use or at least units that are RNG blessed is a huge hassle, Roy SUCKS and first time players usually say: "What the hell? Why can't I promote my thief?" So, over a year ago, I set out to fix these issues as best I can. I started out with ZERO hacking knowledge and relied on the community tools and guides provided by serenesforest. Suffice to say, I did less than adequate... But with FEE3 just around the corner I decided to start from scratch and give it another shot. And this time around, I think I've had much more success. So without further ado, here are definitions of these issues I aim to fix: 1. Bad units : Too many units go unused and, forgive me if this sounds corny, unloved. Most people call these units "Bad Units" because their growth rates are sub-par and people deem them "not worth their time." 2. Awful Hit Rates : In most FE games, bad hit rates are linked to a unit's skill stats. However, this isn't always the case in FE6. Most people know this, so I'll keep this point brief. Even units with superb skill stat can miss in this game because the hit rates on most weapons SUCK. 3. Class limitations (thief, bard, etc...) : A lot of possible good units are hindered in this game because they fit into a certain class. For example: thieves got the short end of the stick with 1st class stat caps and limited levels of growth. 4. Practical Use : Many units go unused in the game because the time they are recruited makes their use impractical. A good example of this is Sofiya; whom comes so late in the game and at such a low level that using her is more of a liability than an asset. Another example is prepromoted units early in the game that drain exp from other units with little return, again, making them more a liability than an asset. **NOTE - This does not apply to units such as Niime, Yodel or Karel who have just had their levels lowered to 15 to take advantage of their new growths (Karel needs no advantage, but is sure was fun to do! lol) How I attempted to fix these issues: (Points below match points above) 1. Using units current growths as a percentage with their base stat total, I assign all units the same base stat total of 325 (so far, 325 seems to be the best middle ground; 350 just barely being too high and anything lower than 325 not making a significant impact on some units) in an attempt to make all units relatively the same as far as use, but keep their unique traits that makes them good (such as Barth and his HP). 2. To fix the awful hit rates, I simply modified all weapons in the game to have the hit rates of their counterparts in FE7. I also took the creative liberty to edit some weapons in ways I thought appropriate: such as uses and range (GET AT ME SHORT BOW HATERS!!!). 3. This was took a lot of work to fix for certain units. The thieves and bards/dancers were easy enough; calculate their 20/20 stats average stats (limitations from the first class included for realism) and then make their current growth rates match rates that would result in their 20/20 stats while still in their base class (I also increased the stat caps to FE8's Assassins). What was difficult was the prepremoted units. It's somewhat complicated so for people interested, here's how I did it: 4. I used the above method on prepremoted to make it so the player would receive an adequate return, at least, for trying to level them up so much. Overly leveled units whom don't have their stats reflect their current level have had their levels reduced in order for growth rates to compensate. And finally, Sofiya has been leveled up so now she can be useful without "kill-feeding" her. That's all I have for now. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them and constructive criticism is always welcome. Something to keep in mind: While this hack does follow what I listed above, there are also small details throughout the hack that I thought would add to the gameplay experience; so, please keep this in mind if you suddenly receive an item you wouldn't normally be able to get. ; ] Screenshots: Changes suggested by users: HAVE FUN! 10. So my question is when to use them I am playing on normal/casual so i dont think i need to spend hours grinding an stuff I was thinking get to level 20use a masters seal apart from MU who i will explain about later After they are advanced classes get them to level 15. The ones tht dont need changing just get to 20 and leave them there. The others (ie chrom to go change to General to get Pavise) use second seals to get to another advanced classes then level to 20... Or in some cases(ie chrom going back to a great knight) switch back to origenal advanced class or a new advanced class. With MU i want to get to 15 as a tactician, then use a master seal, level to 15 again to pick up skills and then use second seal to go to either mage/dark mage/cleric/preist and start from there Do u think this is a good use of seals and wont take too long but still getting high stats?
