  1. Five years ago, the continent of Tellius was engulfed in a brutal war. King Ashnard of the Daein kingdom ordered an attack on the neighboring nation Crimea. The attack was swift, deadly, and unprovoked. After about a year of bloodshed, Ashnard was slain, bringing his reign of terror to an end. This war is known as the Mad King's War. It appeared that the mad king had left no heirs, but a noblewoman stepped forward with the claim that her daughter had been sired by him. The people had no choice but to believe her and allow young Nyra to take the throne. All the nations of Tellius were now free to rebuild and move forward. But, sometimes what was once broken, will never be completely fixed... Feedback Thread Prologue: A Surprise Successor August 27, 645 Nevassa, Daein A mighty roan stallion with a young woman on his back galloped through the street. If one were to get close enough, they would be able to see the determination and anger in the lady’s eyes. A steel sword was strapped to her back. She was pursuing a group of cavalry, they were all clothed in blood red armor, while her own armor was jet black. Daein had lost the war. King Ashnard was dead, and he hadn’t married or produced any heirs. Of course, the new Crimean queen wasn’t going to be in charge of both countries. Begnion controlled more land than anyone else, so why not add more to their empire? Nyra knew she had no right to argue. She was just a lowly soldier. General Petrine had always said she had the potential to be much more, but she, too, was now dead. And Begnion wouldn’t care anyway. But Nyra, being the hothead she was, wasn’t going to take this without a fight. She was going to show those red clad snobs who they were dealing with. And they would either kill her or throw her in jail for the rest of her life, but she didn’t care. She pulled back on the horse’s reins, causing him to skid to a stop, neigh, and rear. The Begnion cavalry appeared to be reporting to the halberdier ahead of them: an average sized man with dark purple hair. His armor was the distinctive red, with an olive green scarf. And he had an air of authority about him. No doubt about it, this was who the apostle had put in charge. One of the soldiers turned and spoke to the halberdier. “General Jarod, there’s a Daein cavalier here.” “I thought we told all of them to stay away while we get the paperwork settled.” Jarod huffed. “Go away. The war’s over. You lost.” Nyra stared at him, anger burning in her eyes. He smirked. “Such a fierce look for a little recruit!” “I’ll have you know that I am NOT a recruit. I was trained by, and served under, Petrine of the Four Riders.” “Ah, Petrine...she was a fiery one. But the key word is was. Go home, lass. We can’t have any Daein stragglers hanging around. Even if you did know that witch of a woman.” “Is that fancy lance just for show? It looks brand new. Did the apostle take a pampered noble, put him in armor, and call him general?” Nyra taunted. “I will not go home. If you want me to, you’ll have to force me.” Several Begnion soldiers raised their weapons. Jarod gave them the “stand down” gesture. “I will deal with this myself.” He grabbed his lance and gave it a twirl. “Try me!” The crowd scattered. Nyra brought her horse into a charge, blade drawn, as Jarod stood his ground. The steel sword clanged against the steel greatlance. The Begnion soldiers were rooting for their general, as was expected. Nyra managed to spot some Daein townspeople out of the corner of her eye. Most looked like they were just wondering what was going on, but she thought a few of them appeared to be impressed with her. As they should. Nobody else had the gumption to stand up to Begnion. This Jarod guy...who was he? She had never heard of him, and he had looked like he hadn’t seen much actual combat until she actually saw him fight. That jumping skill was unreal. He had to be clearing twice her height! And with a heavy weapon that should weigh him down! As impressive as it was, he was still her enemy. She concentrated on attempting to block his blows while slashing at him with her sword. “NYRA!” The familiar voice came from the group of townspeople. In one swift movement, Nyra stabbed Jarod in the shoulder, had her horse trample him to the ground, and turned. The crowd parted to let her mother through. Her mother, a frail skinny thing, had a piece of paper in her hands and was glaring at the scene in front of her. Behind her was an ancient looking woman who Nyra had never seen before, and a man she recognized as Lukall, a Daein noble. “Everyone, your attention please!” Lukall announced. “There’s been a recent development! Or a twenty-eight year old development, depending on how you look at it.” Nyra blinked. She was twenty-eight... Lukall proceeded to walk forward and look at Jarod, who was collapsed on the ground with several wounds. “He’s just out cold.” He said to the two women with him. “He won’t be able to protest now, but he will if we’re not quick enough. Lady Jaclyn, bring me the document.” Nyra’s mother handed the paper to Lukall. He turned to Nyra, and she reached for it. Lukall pulled it away. “Not so fast. The information in this document...will come as a shock to you. Fair warning.” Then he allowed Nyra to take it and unfold it. The paper was a birth certificate. Under name, in slightly faded writing, was Nyra Terricks Daein. That was a bit odd, Nyra’s mother was a noblewoman, but usually only royals had a second surname that they shared with their country. Place of birth was Nevassa, gender was female...under father, written in the same faded script, yet clear as day, was Ashnard Terricks Daein. “Breathe, girl!” Lukall waved a hand in front of Nyra’s face. At the same moment, Jarod coughed behind her and attempted to get up. Nyra whipped around and plunged her sword into his forehead. His eyes glazed over, and his final breath was a faint sputter. The old woman and Nyra’s mother both had the same blank expressions. She turned to them. “...But you always told me my father had died before I was born...how...” “Oh, is that what she told you?” The old woman hobbled forward. “...Pardon me, you don’t know me. My name is Melina. I delivered you...you can see my signature here.” She pointed at the bottom of the document, where the parents’ and midwife’s signatures went. The line for the father’s signature was blank. There was still quite the crowd gathered. Lukall took the birth certificate and held it in the air. “Citizens of Daein, we have a successor! I give you Queen Nyra!” A few of the Begnion soldiers, and even some of the Daein townspeople, had to look at the birth certificate with their own eyes to believe it. One Begnion soldier bowed his head to Nyra. “We will return to Begnion at once, Your Majesty. General Jarod will be laid to rest in his own homeland...”
  2. I had an idea for a general FE thread and changing the topic regularly (about weekly or so) about speculating if things went differently at pivotal moments in the story of the various Fire Emblem games because its fun to speculate what would have happened at these moments. The first pivotal moment I had in mind was what if Greil survived in his first fight with the Black Knight and how this would have changed the Tellius Saga. Q1: For starters I think that Greil would realize after healing from his wounds that he was no match for the Black Knight since he could no longer use his sword arm and would double down on his efforts to train Ike realizing if anyone was going to beat the Black Knight it would be him. That being said he would still remain in charge of the Mercenaries. The positive of this would be that Ike would become much stronger and skilled at a faster rate than he did in the original story but wouldn't have developed so much leader since he was thrown into that situation so suddenly. Now one hitch I have is that I do think while Greil might have survived the first encounter with the Black Knight he would have eventually met his end at his hands since the Black Knight is encountered multiple times throughout the story and he would do anything to prevent Ike or Mist from having to fight him so soon even if it meant him knowing fighting a battle he could not win. If he did survive until the ending parts of the story where Ike originally fights him I do think he would let Ike fight him having trained him intensely in that time and believing he could beat the Black Knight. Some other implications are the impacts this would have on the events Radiant Dawn with Griel still alive but aging would probably have handed off the responsibility of the Mercenaries to Ike. However, as events progressed he would be forced to explain who the Black Knight really was and the meaning behind Lehran's Medallion and reveal some of the more important parts of the setting much sooner. The story at this point could go in multiple directions with the Mercenaries either supporting the Laguz alliance like they did in the original story or being completely focused on preventing Ashera from awakening. This is meant to be in good fun so feel free to post your thoughts about it all. Oh and lets try to refrain from Fates spoilers/ Fates scenarios since the game has yet to have a world wide release. Q1: What if Griel survived against the Black Knight? Q2: What if Zephiel was killed in FE7? PM me your ideas and suggestions for what if scenarios in the Fire Emblem stories. Particulalry for FE 2, 4, and 5 as my knowledge of those games is sparse at best.
  3. So i've been thinking alot about where in the world Tellius is. Now people are quick to say that its in a world all its own apart from Akaneia and only accessed through the Outrealms and I got that but... Fates details We see the world map just loops and repeats in Awakening but with the push by IS to make every continent related to Akaneia in some way it has me wondering if they will ever have Tellius and Akaneia crossover and explain their relation to one another. Kind of how Gaiden and Awakening explored Valm to an extent. Sure as much as I'd love for another Tellius centered game its just not going to happen. But a game with both Tellius and Akaneia could be a possibility. Plus maybe they can explore or hint at how Priam came to be in Valm and all. Anyone have thoughts on this?
  4. Hope this isn't a topic already. Out of all the games I think hands down that Tellius had the best character design. The armor looked practical yet unique to each character and they were all distinguishable. I also can't put my finger on it but the designs for each character just seemed right. So which character designs from this saga were your favorites? I like Ike's Lord design from FE9 the color scheme of olive green with the blue cape just looks good and goes with him really well. I like his base Hero design as well and think it suits him but I'll always like the color scheme of the Lord get up. Titania is another design I liked aside from being an overall pretty character the cloth under the armor matches real well with the hair while the armor looks like what you would expect of an elite Paladin. Greil/Gawain is another design I liked as well simple clothing and armor resembling Hero Ike. Fits the part of an aged legendary warrior. Black Knight. Pretty much the Darth Vader of the series in my opinion. Down right menacing and terrifying and gives the feeling of being one of the four apocalyptic horsemen. Sigrun and Nephenee. Like the hair color and armor choice for both of these and the way the helmet covers their eye is pretty nice too. Nailah. Unique one of a kind character cool markings along her body and that eyepatch is killer. I could go on and on and there's many more I like as well and this is just scraping the surface.
  5. Am I the only one who would like to see characters with personalized skills like how Jugdral and Tellius did, but have class skills along with them? I mean I know reclassing is a thing, but come on, it adds a little more to the characters if they have personalized skills based on who they are. I mean honestly, with 5 slots it's not that out there of a concept, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see if any characters have an "abnormal" skill.
  6. In the Tellius games you could give commands to your own units and partner units. Especially the second point was a pretty nice strategical idea. You could leave your partner units alone not to steal your experience or you could use them as canon fodder to save your units. I command my units... in pretty much each escape chapter in FE9 and 10 except for 1-1 in FE10.I command my partner units... in all escape chapters. (when they exist) in chapter 9 in FE9. Lethe and Morcedai shouldn't kill anything. in 3-3 in FE10. Marcia kills 90% of the enemies. I only let the partner units act so that the bishop(s) with physics can heal her. in 3-9, because the bishop with the physics is very welcome for my units. in 3-11 to send the hawks back. Tibarn even can kill himself. The boss oneshots him. in 3-12 from turn 2. in 3-13 at least in hard mode. It was better in FE10, because your lord could give a command even after it had moved. I think it would be even better, if you could give a command to each single partner unit individually. Each partner unit will get an own number and an own command. With these numbers you can decide the order of the NPCs. Do you miss this feature? And if yes, do you have an(y) improvement suggestion(s) for this mechanic?
  7. So I've been replaying the Wind Waker, and since it's my favorite Zelda plot and gameplaywise for a myriad of reasons, I would up thinking of how a post apocalypse world could work in FE. Not necessarily a cheerful one with a dark secret like The Wind Waker's peaceful islands, but still. The first thing that pops to mind is Tellius, of course. Its backstory involves a goddess throwing a temper tantrum and flooding everything but Tellius. However, this wasn't really used as a major plot device until the end of FE10, prior to that, it was "oh yeah this is the only continent in existence". I think it had a lot of potential, but ultimately wasn't fully utilized as well as it could have been. So, thoughts? Would you like a post-apocalypse story? If so, how would you prefer it to be handled?
  8. A few people in the guy version of this said we should give the girls some recognition. So I decided to make this thread. Anyways, the title explains it all. So go nuts! Prettiest is Elincina, for me. There's just something about her... Hottest is Calill. I've noticed that most of the girls are more cute than hot. Calill is one of the exceptions. Cutest is Mia. Really, she has the 'moe' thing going for her. Never a bad thing. Wow, writing that felt kind of odd, for some reason.
  9. Who has the largest bust? I'm primarily talking about Tellius units, but the likes of Petrine can get an honorable mention. Feel free to include runners-up in order as well. Radiant Dawn: Nailah, with the runner-ups being Heather, Almedha, Mia, Sigrun, Vika, and Lucia, in descending / shrinking order.
  10. Hello people of the forest that I... didn't burn (Really! Honest!)! Since I had not seen a forum like this on the site, I took it upon myself to create a place for us, the FE community, to share, create and argue all kinds of conspiracy theories! I'll start us off with a pretty non-conspiric one I sorta thought of/stole- Jugdral is Tellius (partly): This is one that, for a long time, I simply wrote off (as most people did, I assume, as I've only seen it once). The theory went that Tellius could be an 'ancestor/descendant land,' of the Kingdom of Silesse, as its general land-shape is similar to what we can see of Tellius (because the map cuts off) when rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. So, as I said, I thought this was bull crap. But then I did a regular run of Infinite Regelia and started counting the deadlords. It was then I came across what changed my mind, Simia, the ninth deadlord. I noticed after a little bit how Simia rather heavily resembled Mia of FE9/10. And I made the connection then that- 1) Deadlords are made from living (or once living) warriors, who maintain/regain many of their previous skills and abilities. 2) Simia resembles Mia, a once-living warrior from Tellius, and both are Swordmasters 3) of twelve Deadlords, the only ones with their origins covered are Mus (Raydrik), Bovis (Galzus), Tigris (Dagdar), Draco (Eyvel), Canis (Sara), and Porcus (Lifis). Simia's origins are still up for debate. These facts together made me began to give some validity to this 'Tellius is the same as Silesse' theory. Could it be that Simia is Mia's deadlord? The similarity in their names, appearance and abilities got me thinking, yes. And that would mean that Tellius was before Jugdral (I really wish is it was 'Judgral'), and that they are the same continent. 'But AnonymousSpeed,' you say, 'Silesse is a frozen wasteland akin to Illia, how could it ever be Tellius?' Well, has not the flow of time moved and change the continents of ours world? Antarctica, a barren field of snow and ice, was once near the equator in the massive heap know as Pangea. And also, there have also been times were the planet has undergone sudden drops in temperature (the ice ages). Is it not plausible that the events of Tellius occurred many centuries and millennia before the events of Jugdral, and that in that time the land shifted northward, becoming much colder? And why would the map of Tellius just, cut off in the east? Maybe to hide how beyond Daein and Begnion lies the stage for the unborn epics of Sigurd, Leif and Seliph?! Possibly. Yeah, I know, there must be about a hundred things going against this, but it's still fun to see how plausible this really is. So, feel free to bring in your own conspiracy theories or argues against them. Either way, don't stop conspiring! Let the discussion rage like the fires I totally didn't start!
