  1. Raven: Peerless Fighter A fairly unique standout among Axe infantry, Raven is distinctive for his excellent offensive stats and unique access to an extremely powerful weapon & refinement combination, making him perhaps the strongest axe infantry of the lot-- and on top of this, he is rather easy and economical to build, requiring only Divine Dew for his refinement, a handful of skills from units available at 4* or below, and the feathers to upgrade them when necessary. With a good IV, he is almost certainly bound to be worth the effort and investment it takes to build him. 5* Level 40 stats: HP: 37 / 41/ 44 Atk: 31 / 34 / 37 Spd: 32 / 35 / 38 Def: 22 / 25 / 29 Res: 19 / 22 / 25 Total: 156~158 Default skills: Weapon: Brave Axe+ -> Basilikos Assist: -- Special: Sol Passive A: Defiant Spd 3 Passive B: -- Passive C: Threaten Def 3 The Cleaner (Galeforce offense) **Optimal Build**, General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes The Avenger (Wrath+some enemy phase) **High Investment**, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes (depending on skills)
  2. EDIT: So I decided I'll use this thread for all my photoshopped FEH memes. A Depiction of Wrys (AKA My Masterpiece) Just something I worked on for some time as a joke I wanted to share. This was my first piece on this thread. According to FE memedom, Wrys is a god. The rest speaks for itself. Everything is photoshopped. I think the original piece of art was done by Michaelangelo maybe? The rest is photoshopped from Intelligent System's Fire Emblem Heroes. Created in Sketch on the iOS. EDIT: Yes, the original work - I think it was called "The Creation of Adam" - from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was indeed painted by Michaelangelo. In hindsight, I like to think the hand reaching in from the bottom left belongs to Kellam. We all know he's in Heroes after all... Somewhere.... Voting Guantlet Fated Battles. Sigurd vs Arvis (AKA "Charvis") You all know your Arvis roasting Sigurd memes. For those who missed it, Sigurd beat Arvis. I had made a bet to a friend prior that if Sigurd won, I would make this. Glad it happened. XD Found the original image googling "barbecue grill chef" or something. The salt came from googling salt shaker. The rest in this image are all sprites from Intelligent System's Fire Emblem Heroes taken from the Feh Wiki, I think. Credit to thenumberonebacon for the nickname "Charvis." Again, made in Sketch on iOS. Celica casts Rag n' a Rock (AKA "Mila Bless you") A visual pun I've had in mind for a while. I also considered doing a pun with the movie "Thor Ragnarock" but figured I didn't want to do the same joke twice and just stick to the cleverer pun. The base image image of Celica is from Intelligent System's Fire Emblem Heroes taken from Gamepress. Credit to thenumberonebacon for the alt title "Mila Bless You." I found the rock googling "rock transparent background" and the rag by googling "kitchen cloth transparent." Again, made in Sketch on iOS. "How do you like the taste?" (AKA "Chef Walhart of Valm's Kitchen") Titled and inspired by one of Walhart's special trigger dialogue lines. Regrets: Not including Walhart grocery bags in the background and not having Sigurd in the fire. Granted I've already done a Sigurd joke here, and that's more Arvis's thing I used Google to find images of a cooking pot transparent, a laddle, a lobster, an apron, a chef's hat, and this Walhart (art by Intelligent Systems). Everything was, again, thrown together in sketch on iOS High Deliverer (AKA Robin Weeds Out the Competition) The moment I first saw Robin's Epithet I wanted to make a joke about it. I don't normally appreciate drug related jokes, but I had to make an exception for these very clever puns. Regret: Missed opportunity to name the weapon "Blunt Force" XD I used paint.net and the feh stuff github unit builder to create this. I also did some googling to find the blunt, dank shades, leaf, and image of Robin (made by Intelligent Systems).
  3. Kagero: Honorable Ninja Though she was once top dog among dagger units (and still is, in a sense... if one counts her Spring incarnation) for her powerful weapon and high Attack as a dagger-wielder, Kagero has long since fallen from relevance in the metagame at large, owing not only to the ever-growing abundance of strong non-infantry units introduced to the game or appearing in arena matches, but also to the introduction of stronger dagger units such as her aforementioned alt, as well as Sothe and New Year Takumi. Though her stat build isn't quite up to snuff in comparison to these newer daggers, she still boasts the second highest Atk of all dagger units, and while this makes her a good dedicated slayer of infantry or mages with certain skill builds, due to the changing shape of the meta those wishing to use her more broadly would be well advised to branch out and build her to strike a wider, more general swath of targets... Level 40 stats: HP: 28 / 31 / 34 Atk: 32 / 35 / 38 Spd: 29 / 32 / 35 Def: 19 / 22 / 25 Res: 24 / 28 / 31 Total: 147 ~ 148 Default skills: Weapon: Poison Dagger+ Assist: -- Special: Reprisal Passive A: Warding Blow 3 Passive B: Daggerbreaker 3 Passive C: -- Classic Ninja (speed-focused / general offense) General use, Arena offense, chain modes Selective Assassin (mage/infantry slayer) Challenge maps / specific PvE
  4. Does anyone else imagine we might get Zacharias someday, no, not Bruno. Zacharias the lance wielder. Yes the two characters are one and the same, but I've kind of been hoping to see him in his Zacharias alias specifically someday, maybe as a Tempest Trial reward resulting from tempest-weirdness (since it bends time and space), with Zacharias wearing the Askran armor donned by Alfonse, Anna, and Sharena and wielding a lance. Opinions on this?
  5. This is an idea I've had to myself for a while but haven't really gotten too far into detail on, but now seems to be the best time to share it with the new banner announcement XD I've had an idea for some time about how a few of the Awakening DLC characters could be great in the game as most have special things about them. I've largely held off due to the whole Fateswakening focus last year and negative feedback on said focus, but now it seems more plausible to me. What I have in mind is the following: Unexpected Heroes Banner (Title not necessarily final): Aversa- Red Tome Flier Most people wanted Aversa in the game as a non-seasonal, permanent tome flier. We do have Morgan have now, which I feel makes it more of a possibility Gangrel- Sword Infantry Gangrel would have the Levin Sword. I'm not sure whether or not it should be a personal weapon or not. I imagine it would target resistance (only resistance) and attack at a range of 1 but also allow Gangrel to use melee only skills such as wrath and sacred cowl and also not have to worry about tomebreakers or, ironically, Falchion. His weapon would also allow distant counter. Emmeryn- Staff Infantry Originally I hadn't thought of including Emmeryn until I saw a skill of Izana of Fates called Peace Bringer "Allies and enemies within a 2 tile radius receive 2 less damage" (from the Fire Emblem Wikia). I imagine this skill could be adjusted to fit with Heroes' other skills and to better fit the meta. I could have given Emmeryn a tome, but I chose not to as I felt that staves fit her personality better. I haven't decided what she should have, but I'm thinking a personal staff would make a lot of sense. Maybe something along the lines of how Fear+ or Candlelight+ work? I'm not sure yet. GHB: Walhart- Axe Cavalier I had the idea of Walhart being the best way to finish the weapons triangle of DC Melee GHB Calvary weapon triangle we have in Xander and Camus. His personal weapon would be Wolfberg and he'd have the conqueror skill, BUT I'm thinking it should probably have a different effect than in Awakening. Haven't decided, but I'm thinking it should either involve damage reduction or damage increase against certain types of units. Tempest Trials- Challenger from the Tempest: Priam- Sword Infantry At the time I was thinking of this, I thought everyone getting a F2P Ike would be cool. This was before a Hero Rises was a thing and we all got V'Ike. I still Priam could have his own uses though. Priam also didn't get much screen time or backstory in his source game, and Heroes could go deeper into his story like it has for some other characters. Originally, I had in mind to have Priam as a Grand Hero Battle, but at a friend's suggestion, I decided to put him in the TT. The final map can be a callback to the epic battle against him in Awakening. His personal weapon would be Ragnell, but worn down like the one seen in Awakening (I kind of wish DC units had a different animation for attacking at a distance just so we could have an animation of him throwing Ragnell at enemies XD) I also feel having Priam come out of the tempest himself in search for new people to contest his strength against is just fitting. Especially as it's how he was introduced in Awakening, sort of. *Yen'fay is also in consideration for somewhere, wielding Amatsu with built in DC. I'm planning on editing this post at a later time to include skills and stats. The latter may take more time as custom banners is something I'm just trying out for the first time. I'd like feedback and ideas as well as discussion on the viability or possibility this might happen. If you have any ideas or opinions on this hypothetical banner, just reply below. Do you see this as a potential addition to Heroes somewhere down the line? Characters so far: Emmeryn Gangrel
  6. Hey, so I have a friend who plays this game non stop, all the time, always on it, and he's spent at least 200 dollars on orbs at this point. He's even said he wants to stop but he just can't. Any ideas?
  7. Hey folks, lurker for a long time here, and also with gaming media. I wrote a story and published it this morning, focusing on the one-year anniversary of Fire Emblem Heroes, and how despite the game being well-designed, generated fairly little attention with mainstream games media. Even after earning over $300 milliion in revenue from the game, it's just kind of fallen off the map, despite being one of the best mobile games in years and earning a DICE Game of the Year (mobile) award. In the piece, I compared this game to various other mobile games like Puzzle and Dragons, Brave Frontier, and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, and how Heroes stands above them in a quality and design standpoint. What do you guys think of the game, its overall direction, and what it's done thus far? Any egregious decisions that stand out to you? Piece is here if you're interested, and looking forward to mingling with this community a bit more! https://www.gamerpros.co/nintendos-unsung-and-underrated-hero-is-fire-emblem-heroes/
  8. So i was thinking of building my Merric I 5 stared him and his IVs are Spd+ HP- which is perfect and i got all of his skills so i was wondering How should i Build him? also he's going to be in my Mystery of the Emblem team with Marth, Linde and Gordin
  9. Camilla: Holiday Traveler For whatever reason, no one ever seems to talk about New Years' Camilla, which is rather surprising, considering just how much power she can pack given her high stats and access to flier boosts. So you thought Elincia was the sovereign of the skies, the queen of the quads, the only sword flier of the lot to matter? (Though Caeda is finally at item as well at long last...) Well, Camilla and her massive... BST would like a word with that notion. Whereas Elincia has the unparalleled player phase game with Amiti and Caeda has excellent utility with Wing Sword's effective damage and high Res for ploys, Camilla can both take hits (something the other two can't boast much of) and dish them out-- and just happens to be able to hit a speed that lets her come damn close to Elincia's numbers on offense to boot. It's a shame poor Hinoka wasn't invited to the Hoshidan new year festivities, because the eastern kingdom has a new queen of the skies. Level 40 stats: HP: 36 / 40 / 43 Atk: 30 / 33 / 36 Spd: 32 / 35 / 38 Def: 28 / 31 / 34 Res: 20 / 23 / 27 Total: 161~163 Default skills: Weapon: Kadomatsu+ Assist: -- Special: Draconic Aura Passive A: Spd/Def Bond 3 Passive B: -- Passive C: Ward Fliers Draconic Myrmidon (Slaying Edge offense) *Optimal Build* General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Sword of the Sun (Wo Dao healtank) General Use, Chain modes, Special Maps Decoration Defiler (budget) General Use, Chain modes Other Options: Brave Sword - Sure, she can do it. Why would you bother when Elincia exists though, unless you reeeeeally want to and you reeeeally can't pull Elincia? If Camilla is -Spd or +Atk, she makes for a perfectly passable bulky brave user, so she at least has more survivability than Elincia on enemy phase-- most of the time that won't matter, but you never know? Firesweep Sword - Elincia actually outperforms her at this one too, ironically. Not a bad choice for her, but when her defense is actually pretty good, why give up her good enemy phase? It's a decent (if expensive) option for -Def natures at least. Distant Counter + Iote's Shield - she CAN do it on a Slaying Edge set, but there are other anti-Bow options for flier teams that are not only better, but easier to build.
  10. Myrrh: Great Dragon Arguably the cutest Manakete yet to arrive in the world of Heroes proves also to be debatably the strongest, not only breaking ground as an unprecedented Dragon-Flier hybrid, but also possessing a fantastically well-built stat spread as well as a legendary breath weapon that capitalizes on her strengths and even serves to cover her sole weakness of low Speed by making her Defense a prerequisite threshold to double her-- doubling her is very difficult to do, and as a result of her beefy defenses as well as a stellar attack, she is very difficult to kill in a single round without being killed in reply, with high-defense red units and dragon-slaying weapons like Falchion and Naga being the main tools to do so. There's no need for her to do everything herself, of course, and with teammates to handle these threats, Myrrh stands ready to knock'em dead in spite of the revival and newfound powers of the various Falchions. Even so, the dignified little dragon firmly establishes herself as a threat to be reckoned with, dragon-slaying swords or no. At what she's built to do, she's undeniably a monster. Level 40 stats: HP: 39 / 42 / 45 Atk: 30 / 33 / 36 Spd: 22 / 25 / 29 Def: 32 / 36 / 39 Res: 28 / 31 / 34 Total: 166 ~ 168 Default skills: Weapon: Great Flame Assist: — Special: Bonfire Passive A: Fury 3 Passive B: — Passive C: Hone Dragons Great-Distance Flame (Distant Counter) General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Heavy Bonding (Heavy Blade / Atk-focused) General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Ironwings (dedicated physical tank) General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Other Options: Renewal and Vantage are both excellent budget options for Myrrh that synergize well with Fury and can be used alongside the Quick Riposte seal. Distant Defense can provide some additional assistance for the DC build or even for a melee build that wants to be able to tank Rein and other blue mages better, though it's generally not as useful as any of the alternatives she can pack in either her A-slot or her Seal slot. Fierce Stance is an option for the Heavy Blade build and pairs great with Vantage, but not only is it rarer than Atk/Def Bond3 (since the latter is a F2P skill), it provides only a minimal increase to Atk at the cost of 5 Defense, which helps her doubling threshold out a lot against neutral and WTA-weak attackers. Guidance is an excellent skill for Dragon Emblem teams if her Seal slot can be spared for it.
  11. Imagine that, his FE7 art has him with a book.. Lucius: The Light Since healer builds don't tend to have a whole lot of variation, it's safe to say that Lucius is honestly a fairly typical healer, with some of his noteworthy qualities being his high Atk for a healer (tying with Elise and Lachesis and beat only by Genny), a high Res beaten only by Wrys letting him double as a Res tank if necessary, and the fact that he comes equipped with Pain+ and Miracle from the get-go, making him fairly economical to build. He also packs a higher Speed and HP than Genny, making his survivability against magic units substantially better than hers and establishing him as a good middle ground of tanking and attacking between Genny and Wrys in terms of staff infantry. All things said, his stats are optimized rather nicely, giving him a lot of utility. Level 40 stats: HP: 34 / 37 / 41 Atk: 29 / 32 / 35 Spd: 26 / 30 / 33 Def: 10 / 13 / 17 Res: 32 / 35 / 38 Total: 146~148 Default skills: Weapon: Pain+ Assist: Martyr+ Special: Miracle Passive A: HP+5 Passive B: -- Passive C: -- Radiant Razer (AoE attacker + high-investment healer) *Optimal Build* General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Saintly Soul (AoE Attacker + budget healer) General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes Brutal Bishop (high-investment attacker) *High Investment* General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes Other Options: Warding Stance and Distant Defense are powerful options for making Lucius into a strong Res tank, however, both are quite rare and high-budget skills, and it's normally more practical to simply boost Lucius' Attack in order to increase his healing efficacy anyway. Breaker skills can offer him some degree of offensive or defensive specialization, keeping tome units from doubling him or allowing him to more easily kill speedy melee units like swords, but it's rarely worth using over staff-specific skills or even simply Wings of Mercy. Updated 2/8/18 with offensive build, other options, and added mention of Wings of Mercy to budget healer build
  12. Henry: Twisted Mind Joining the trifecta as the Red member of the of peculiarly-built, typically-not-effective mages that includes Odin and Merric, Henry brings to the table the highest combination of HP and Def sported by any ranged infantry (and tied with Winter Tharja for those stats among all ranged units), trading for them the Spd, Res, and least fortunately Atk, the stats widely considered to be essential for mages. Henry is not without his uses though, and he has several things going for him in his default kit; Raudrraven, Ignis, and G Tomebreaker are all useful skills that only need Triangle Adept added to the mix for Henry to be an effective green mage-killer, making him a cost-effective budget option, and his stellar HP stat lets him abuse skills typically unseen on most mages, such as Panic Ploy and Infantry Pulse. Though he might lack a decent Attack stat like Boey has, he's just as capable of running effective close-counter sets as well as anti-grey builds with his native weapon. Despite his uses as a budget Raven user, he does need quite a lot of investment to live up to his full potential, as these strangely-statted units often do, but once he's there he has the capability of being delightfully adequate. Fortunately, two of the rarest skills required for his success (Raudrowl+ and Close Counter) have since become F2P-available, making him easier to build than ever. Level 40 stats: HP: 42 / 45 / 48 Atk: 20 / 23 / 26 Spd: 19 / 22 / 25 Def: 29 / 32 / 35 Res: 22 / 25 / 29 Total: 156~157 Default skills: Weapon: Raudrraven+ Assist: -- Special: Ignis Passive A: Defiant Defense 3 Passive B: G Tomebreaker 3 Passive C: -- Giving a Hoot (Close Counter) *Optimal Build* *High Investment* General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes Caws for Alarm (Budget/Raudrraven) General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes
  13. Merric: Wind Mage Marth's nerd friend Merric is one of those weird experimental units from the start of Heroes who isn't so much given good stats as interesting stats... And as a result, he often has trouble competing with other green mages for a team slot-- especially as most of them are actually built to be effective rather than... interesting. Thankfully, his latest weapon refinement has given him a niche as the only tome-user currently able to take advantage of killer weapon effects, and it furthermore affords him a better offensive presence that can stack with his A-slot, which helps to make up for his lackluster Attack stat. More good news for him is the gradual increase of rare skills being made more openly available, which makes it easier to build him into a magic attacker that at least comes close to being on par with the stronger infantry green mages. He definitely relies heavily on allies for support, but that's scarcely different from the tactics Blade mages rely on, and if anything, his effect is easier to maintain due to the extra space of range he can activate it from. Overall, he might still be one of the weaker options owing to his poorly distributed stats, but at least now he has more of a leg to stand on. Level 40 stats: HP: 40 / 43 / 46 Atk: 23 / 26 / 30 Spd: 29 / 32 / 35 Def: 24 / 28 / 31 Res: 16 / 19 / 22 Total: 147~149 Default skills: Weapon: Excalibur [refinable] / Dark Excalibur Assist: -- Special: Growing Wind Passive A: HP+5 Passive B: -- Passive C: Spur Res 3 Killer Breeze (offensive) *Optimal Build* General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Melee Mage (Close Counter) General use, Arena Offense, specialized PvE Bonus: WINDS, HEED ME (wind)
  14. Valter: Dark Moonstone The creeper that everyone loves or loves to hate makes for quite a unique unit in the meta of Heroes, perhaps most comparable to Tana, who is also a lance flier packing a legendary weapon that can fluctuate between speedy and tank roles... Unlike Tana however, who is built for speed yet whose weapon lets her tank, Valter is built more as a tank whose weapon is inclined for a speedy role and the recoil of which is somewhat counterintuitive to tanking, making him strange and awkward when it comes to fine-tuning his build-- even more so given he has no access to IV variation. Despite this, there are definitely ways to make an effective and versatile unit out of Valter, whether his default kit is expanded on to give him extra speed or to dedicate him to being a real tank. Level 40 stats: HP: 42 Atk: 32 Spd: 31 Def: 34 Res: 19 Total: 158 Default skills: Weapon: Cursed Lance Assist: -- Special: Luna Passive A: Darting Blow Passive B: -- Passive C: Panic Ploy Apex Predator (player phase focus) *Optimal Build*, *High Investment*, General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Bloodthirsty Beast (enemy phase focus) *High Investment*, General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Defaulter (budget build) General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes
  15. Tiki: Summering Scion Summer Tiki is one of those peculiar units whose balanced stat build can be seen as a detriment, making it difficult to know exactly how to build her or set her apart from the crowd. She has excellent Attack, just behind Cherche among axe-users... But so are many other prominent units like Hector and Legion, as well as lesser-used units like Bartre. Compared to her fellow axe-users, it can be difficult for her to find a niche that stands out... But likewise, her propensity for her stats to go in any of several numerous directions makes her quite flexible, capable of fulfilling multiple different roles depending on her nature and player preference. Unlike many other Axe-users like Cherche, Bartre, and Barst, she comes with a great kit for tanking out of the box and thus is great even with budget builds, making her easy to build for F2Players. One of her most noteworthy characteristics is her limited and useful weapon, the unassuming melon-on-a-stick that can potentially contribute to some ungodly stat-stacking, especially when combined with ally and/or summoner supports. And with the additions of weapon refinements, not only can this stacking get even more insane, the buffs to healers make it easier to keep Tiki at full health to take advantage of her Melon Smasher's buffs. One way or another, the eternal summer season she brings with her will be sure to leave an impression, whether in hearts or on faces. Level 40 stats: HP: 32 / 35 / 38 Atk: 33 / 36 / 39 Spd: 27 / 30 / 33 Def: 29 / 32 / 35 Res: 21 / 24 / 27 Total: 157 Default skills: Weapon: Melon Crusher+ Assist: -- Special: Sol Passive A: Close Defense 3 Passive B: -- Passive C: Axe Valor 3 Speed Stacked (speedtank build) *Optimal Build* General Use, Arena Offense/Defense, Chain modes Brave Beachster (standard Brave Axe) General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes Budget Vacation (budget build) General Use, Chain modes
  16. Sophia: Nabata Prophet Sophia is quite the odd duck among the spellcasters in Heroes, possessing a strange stat spread of decent attack, balanced defensive stats, and speed that exceeds only Arden's, with no other units being particularly comparable to her in terms of stats and usage-- for the longest time she was dismissed as having no worthwhile use, with her abysmal speed guaranteeing that nearly anyone could double her and neither defense being quite enough to compensate for that... However, for those that see the potential in the little half-dragon seer, there are indeed hidden strengths that can be played to for excellent results. Much like her FE6 incarnation, she starts with very little to work with and takes a lot of investment, but can be grow up to be pretty strong once you put the work in. Level 40 stats: HP: 36 / 40 / 43 Atk: 30 / 33 / 36 Spd: 16 / 19 / 22 Def: 24 / 28 / 31 Res: 25 / 29 / 32 Total: 156~157 Default skills: Weapon: Fenrir+ Assist: -- Special: Dragon Fang Passive A: Warding Blow 3 Passive B: -- Passive C: Fortify Res 3 Red Robin (Raudrraven & Triangle Adept) General Use, Arena Offense, Chain modes Fenrir Awakened (Keen Raudrwolf + DD stacking) *High Investment* General Use, Arena Offense/Defense Melee Mage (Close Counter) General Use, Arena Offense/Defense
  17. Oboro: Fierce Fighter Long considered one of the least valuable units in the pool of Heroes as well as one of the weakest overall Lance infantry, the introduction of the Weapon Refinery and the improvements to specific weapons have granted Oboro a unique niche-- her balanced stats, which were formerly considered to be poorly-distributed with unnecessary points in Speed and Resistance compared to other tanky infantry lancers, now grant her a unique advantage as a double-sided tank when wielding Berkut's Lance refined for Resistance, being arguably the best infantry Lance for being able to tank both Defense and Resistance. Another factor in her favor is the fact that +Res-natured Oboro gets +4 to the stat instead of +3, giving her a very good balanced defensive statline. The only unit who can really give Oboro much competition in this role is Steady Breath Fjorm, who is also very good at countering on both fronts, but plays a bit differently due to her higher resistance and lower defense, arguably making her a less potent melee tank than +Def Oboro. Furthermore, though she might lack HP and Atk when compared to other prominent Lance tanks like Lukas and Ephraim, her defense is quite solid on its own and she can still be made into quite an effective physical wall, made all the more accessible by the weapon refinery allowing access to Slaying weapons via inheriting their Killer counterparts. Unfortunately, due to Oboro's poor default kit and her aforementioned stat distribution, she tends to be more difficult to build and less effective overall at other roles compared to her fellow tanky lancers, though that does not mean that she is ineffective at those roles if a player chooses to build them out of love for the character or some such. Level 40 stats: HP: 36 / 40 / 43 Atk: 29 / 32 / 35 Spd: 23 / 26 / 29 Def: 32 / 35 / 38 Res: 21 / 24 / 28 Total: 156~158 Default skills: Weapon: Heavy Lance+ Assist: Rally Defense Special: -- Passive A: -- Passive B: Seal Def 3 Passive C: Threaten Res 3 Great Wall of Oboro, or Berkut's Nageyari (Berkut's Lance + Distant Counter) *Optimal Build*, General Use, Arena Offense/Defense Slaying Wall (dedicated physical wall) General use, Arena Offense Other Options: She can run a Brave Lance set, though will not be as good at it as pretty much any lancer with higher Atk (of which there are quite a few, most notably Donnel, who comes with it in his base kit) Harmonic Lance + Noontime as alternatives on the Slaying Wall build (especially with Steady Breath for single-hit activation) give her a lot of longevity for modes like Chain Challenge and Tempest Trial, or even reinforcement-ridden single maps, but don't have much use otherwise. Harmonic Lance + Bonfire fails to outperform the damage output of Slaying Lance + Ignis and thus probably isn't worth running unless you have a Shigure that you REALLY want to burn rather than upgrade a killer lance unit to feed her.
  18. Introduction - Radiant Dawn is one of my all-time favorite games in the Fire Emblem series, and it pains me to see that it has not received any sort of representation in Heroes. As such, I came up with my own ideas for what units would be included in a Radiant Dawn-themed banner, Grand Hero Battle, and Tempest Trial. I am open to responses, so please tell me what you think! - KoolioKenneth Summoning Focus - Liberation of Dawn banner (Red Focus: Pelleas, Blue Focus: Micaiah, Green Focus: Kurthnaga, Colorless Focus: Sothe) Grand Hero Battle - Mad King Ashnard (Reward: Ashnard) Tempest Trial - War-Torn Tellius (Reward: Sephiran) Micaiah - “Priestess of Dawn” Blurb - “Founder of the Dawn Brigade, once known as the Silver-Haired Maiden. Quiet and serene, she does not express herself well, but loves her friends and country with all her heart.” Summary - Blue tome infantry appearing in the Liberation of Dawn Summoning Focus. HP - 36 ATK - 32 SPD - 32 DEF - 14 RES - 36 Total BST - 150 Weapon - Rexaura: Blue tome. 14 Mt. DEF +3. Comes with Breath of Life. Grants adjacent allies RES +6 at start of Player Phase. Assist - Branded Sacrifice: Lose 10 HP, but fully heal any injured ally. Micaiah CAN die from this. Special - A-slot - B-slot - Renewal C-slot - SPD/RES Ploy Desired VA - Erika Harlacher Explanation - Micaiah is obviously the highlight unit of the banner, but I admittedly had a bit of trouble designing her. The most difficult part of Micaiah’s potential as a unit in Heroes is whether or not she would be made into a mage unit (like Celica) or be made into a staff unit to highlight the recent buffs that staves got in the latest update. I decided to go with Blue tome so that she wouldn’t share colorless with Sothe in the banner, saving the staff for Sephiran. She wields RD’s most powerful Light Magic, Rexaura (a member of the Aura family) which serves to bridge the gap between Linde and Delthea’s weapons. Micaiah is made with her RD playstyle in mind, working off of her high ATK and SPD alongside extremely low physical frailty. However, I intentionally made her ATK and SPD not quite high enough to be classed alongside other glass cannon blue mages like Linde, Delthea, and Lute, instead relying on her unique C-skill, SPD/RES Ploy, to get her the stat margin she needs. Her other unique skill is her Assist, Branded Sacrifice. It serves as a reference to what made Micaiah so special at the start of RD, in which she could offer her own HP to another party member. This version of the skill is much more powerful, allowing her to run as a healer very well...almost too well. The skill is risky, since it does not have an overflow cap, and will kill Micaiah if the player overuses it. The player must be patient and rely on Renewal to keep her alive. Alternate Weapon - Thani: Staff. 16 Mt. Comes with Wrathful Staff. Ignores bonuses on cavalry/armored units. Sothe - “Daein’s Liberator” Blurb - “A member of the Dawn Brigade who was raised in the slums of Daein by Micaiah. After fighting alongside Ike in the Mad King’s War, he swore to protect Micaiah at all costs.” Summary - Dagger infantry appearing in the Liberation of Dawn Summoning Focus. HP - 36 ATK - 36 SPD - 38 DEF - 20 RES - 20 Total BST - 150 Weapon - Baselard: Dagger. 10 Mt. SPD -2. Strike twice when attacking. Inflict DEF/RES -7. Assist - Swap Special - Whisper: Cooldown count: 4. If unit’s DMG - foe’s HP > 1, automatically leaves one HP remaining. A-slot - Swift Sparrow B-slot - Brigade’s Bearing: Grants Hardy Bearing to this unit and any adjacent ally. C-slot - Desired VA - Kenneth B. Foster Explanation - Sothe effectively serves as Heroes’ first ever wielder of a brave dagger, taking the form of the insanely powerful Baselard weapon from RD. His existence is meant to beat out units like Brave Lyn and Bridelia with the highest offensive BST in the game and restore the overall strength of dagger units. His unique special, Whisper, is taken right out of Radiant Dawn, making it great at whittling down tanky units like Arden. His other unique skill is a B-slot support skill that allows him to forego Desperation and Vantage in exchange for nullifying it against his enemies. When positioned properly, Sothe can be a great support unit in addition to offense. Kurthnaga - “Scion of Dragons” Blurb - “The kind-hearted son of Dheginsea, King of the Dragon nation of Goldoa. He left his home to discover the whereabouts of his lost siblings, eventually joining Micaiah.” Summary - Green dragonstone infantry appearing in the Liberation of Dawn Summoning Focus. HP - 44 ATK - 30 SPD - 20 DEF - 35 RES - 35 Total BST - 164 Weapon - Dark Breath: Green Dragonstone. Grants Close DEF Assist - Special - Dragon Fang A-slot - Fury B-slot - C-slot - Hone Dragons Desired VA - Robbie Daymond Explanation - Kurthnaga serves as the first green dragon unit to enter the game since launch, joining Fae as the only ones in the whole game. His statline grants him the title of highest defensive BST, barely beating out Sheena. When compounded with his weapon, he becomes the ultimate wall to both physical attacks and magic. He also comes with Hone Dragons to accompany Ninian’s Fortify Dragons, completing the set. Pelleas - “Orphaned Prince” Blurb - “The heir-apparent to the throne of Daein on the grounds of being Ashnard’s long-lost son. Timid and gentle, he often feels conflicted about running his country.” Summary - Red tome infantry appearing in the Liberation of Dawn Summoning Focus. HP - 40 ATK - 30 SPD - 36 DEF - 24 RES - 20 Total BST - 150 Weapon - Balberith: Red tome. Mt 14. ATK +3. Grants weapon triangle advantage VS colorless. Assist - Special - Flare: Cooldown count: 4. Reduces enemy RES by 80% and heals half damage. A-slot - Triangle Adept B-slot - Bowbreaker C-slot - Desired VA - Chris Hackney Explanation - Pelleas is one of the most pivotal characters of Micaiah’s story in RD, serving as the symbol of hope for Daein’s people in such a dark time. But in this game, he is here as a red unit for the banner and adds a new niche. At 36 SPD, he is the fastest Red tome user in exchange for middling ATK. However, this is fixed by his weapon, Balberith. Once owned by his former master Izuka, this dark magic tome granted ATK +3 to the wielder’s stats in RD, and similarly does so here. It works similarly to a raven-tome, and comes alongside TA and Bowbreaker, which makes him fantastic for dealing with offensive bow units like Brave Lyn. His final asset comes in the form of his unique skill Flare, which works like Aether as a single hit. Just be careful with using him, as he has rather low DEF and RES, which leaves him vulnerable to overly offensive units. In summary, he is basically a faster, less tank version of Henry. Ashnard - “The Mad King” Blurb - “The tyrant king of Daein who waged all-out war against Crimea and was defeated by Ike. Maniacal, manipulative, and cruel, he believes that strength rules over all.” Summary - Sword flier appearing in the Mad King Ashnard Grand Hero Battle. HP - 54 ATK - 36 SPD - 18 DEF - 36 RES - 18 Total BST - 162 Weapon - Gurgurant: Sword. Mt 16. Special count -1. Nullifies “effective against” bonuses. Assist - Harsh Command Special - Stun: Cooldown count: 4. Identical to Ignis, and inflicts Gravity on the opponent. A-slot - Daein’s Rampage: Grants Quickened Pulse and DMG +10 when special triggers. B-slot - Wrath C-slot - Flier Formation Desired VA - Darin DePaul Explanation - Ashnard fills in the role with a sword that Valter and Michalis did with lance and axe: a violent military leader on a wyvern with a love of combat and conquest. In this vein, Ashnard stands out as a sword-wielder by being built similarly to units like Mia and Ayra who get great benefit out of their specials. This is due to his weapon and unique A-slot skill, which can be deadly when used in tandem. Being a GHB unit, I gave him a skill in every slot to help those who want him for SI. Sephiran - “Begnion’s Minister” Blurb - “The generous and popular Minister of Begnion’s Senate who serves as Sanaki’s consort and mentor. His sudden disappearance threw Begnion into disarray.” Summary - Staff infantry appearing as a reward in the War-Torn Tellius Tempest Trial. HP - 40 ATK - 32 SPD - 22 DEF - 16 RES - 40 Total BST - 150 Weapon - Creiddylad: Staff. Mt. 16. Comes with Wrathful Staff, and allows for the equipping of staff-restricted skills. When attacking, inflicts RES -3 on enemies adjacent to the target. Assist - Goddess Staff: Heals 15 HP to a single ally, and 5 HP to all other allies and self. Special - Corona: Cooldown count: 3. Reduces enemy RES by 80%. Faster version of Glacies. A-slot - Warding Stance B-slot - C-slot - ATK Ploy Desired VA - Johnny Yong Bosch Explanation - Sephiran joins Effie, Mia, and Arden as a unit with a key stat that breaks into the 40’s, sporting the highest natural RES in the game by far. This fits him into a niche with Warding Stance, allowing him to be the ultimate magic tank, along with weakening enemies with ATK Ploy. His weapon and assist are both references to the final chapters to RD, in which he used both as character-unique weapons. Creiddylad also comes with a shrunken-down version of RES Smoke, which gives him some utility on offense, too. But where he really shines is his unique skill Corona, which allows him to activate Glacies at the same time as Iceberg would. Thank you so much for reading! Now, could I have some of your thoughts?
  19. Similar deal to my other post. My name is Jack Longman and I'm looking to kick off a Fire Emblem discussion article, pertaining to Heroes, which I will then use to shape a discussion article, using all the answers you guys provide and give me permission to use. The article goes by the series name "Let's Talk About..." and it's for my website Miketendo64, but I'm not sharing links because I don't want to self promote. As for the matter I wish to discuss in this post, now that Book II and Version 2.0.0 is out for Fire Emblem Heroes, the mobile app has come a long way since it launched. It's got lots of new features, alternate modes like Tempest Trials, Voting Gauntlets, a Weapon Refinery and even a new story. In fact given all that has been added and the fact Fire Emblem Heroes has a new icon now, it does feel almost like a new game again and that's great since to me, it feels like a more refined release, but with all my progress carried over, but how do you guys feel about it? Does Heroes still feel the same way to you, or has Book II and Version 2.0.0 been the game changer you've been waiting for? Without further ado, Let's Talk About...Fire Emblem Heroes Book II (A Story Evolved or the Mobile Sequel that Remembers?)
  20. Good evening everyone, my name is Jack Longman and I was wondering if you might be interested in aiding me in a little something. You see, one of the things I do is run a Nintendo site, which I aim to do more Fire Emblem related discussion posts, which is where this noble forest comes into the equation. Provided it is okay, I would like to start a discussion here, for the fans of Fire Emblem to have their say, regarding a topic I wish to discuss before in a week's time, I round up all the answers I have your permission to share and post them as part of a Let's Talk About article that will be posted on Miketendo64. I would share links to previous articles and the site, but that could come across as self promotion, which isn't what I want to do in the slightest and if you don't want me sharing your answer, feel free to say so when responding. As for the matter I wish to discuss, well since this is the year that gave us the Royal siblings Sharena & Alfonse and Rowan & Lianna, the new heroes of Heroes and Warriors, should Intelligent Systems who had a hand in both games, have gone about creating a crossover event that would see characters from each game appear in the other? I'm not saying Rowan and Lianna need to be playable in FE Heroes, but they could have appeared as part of a Tempest Trial event, instead of just a FE Warriors launch event tie-in and nothing more, whereas in Warriors, Alfonse and Sharena could have appeared as characters during a Tempest Trials History Map that not only would give players more levels to play, but an effective cross promotion that not only benefits the games, but the new faces of Fire Emblem Warriors 2017. So without further ado, Let's Talk About...Fire Emblem (The 2017 Character Crossovers that Never Happened)

  22. As everyone of you knows Sacred Coins arent in use at the moment. So i thought: "What if there was a Blacksmith-Shop to strengthen/create your own Weapon". Of course such a System needs some restriction otherwise we would end up with very unbalanced units, so here goes my Idea! In Order to upgrade your Weapon to the next level (as in inherit a skill to it) the following conditions have to be met: 1. The Units needs to have the weapon learned and equiped 2. You need a Unit you want to sacrifice to inherit a skill. The skill can be picked directly, but you can only pick the Skill rank up to 2. tier (silver circle) and not higher. Skills have a different point values. Your Weapon can only have a maximum of 4 point values inherited, so you can match and mix skills until the maximum amount of Point Values is reached. Some Skills can not be inherited to some Weapons. Please note that normal skill-inheritance prohibitions apply here too, you cant inherit Lance Breaker to a Sword weapon. Or you cant inherit Shield Pulse 2 to a Tome because its restricted to Infantery Units. 3. You need Sacred Coins to pay the Blacksmith for the forging, 50 coins per craft/Skill inheritance 4. You need a large amount of Great Badges in the corresponding weapon to upgrade them! The Amount of Badges needes i SP Cost of the Skill in question divided by 2. For Example: Distant Counter needs 300 SP to be learned, so you need 150 Badges if you want to forge the skill into the Weapon. 5. Different Weapons have different Max point Values (see point 2) The Following Max point Values apply: Melee and Bows: Currently Existing Legendary Weapons: Max point Value of 2, CYL Banner Legendary Weapons have a Max point Value of 0, they cant inherit any more skills Silver Weapons: Max point Value 4 Slayer Weapons (effectiv against, without bows: Max point Value 4 Brave Weapons: Max point Value 2 Slaying Weapons (new cooldown -1 weapons): Max point value 2 Killer Weapons: Max point value 4 Wo dao Weapons: Max point value 3 Gem Weapons (Ruby, Saphire): Max point Value 4 Firesweep weapons: 2 Tomes: Legendary tomes. 1 Litrblade: 1 Litrowl: 3 Litrraven: 4 Litrwolf: 4 Mt 13 normal tomes: 4 Breaths: Fire Breath: 4 all other Breaths: 2 Staves and Daggers: Assault: 4 All other Staves: 3 Poison Daggers: 3 Legendary Daggers: 3 Remaining Daggers: 4 Following Skills (only Tier 2 can be inherited, neither Tier 1 or Tier 3) can be forged (inherited) into a Weapon and their Point Value they use up on the Weapon Slot: A Passives: ATK+/SPD+/RES+/DEF+/HP+ 2(This includes skills like "Attack and Def+") : 1 "insert" Blow skills 2 (Death Blow 2 for exampled, includes also the new combined Blows): 2 Heavy Blade 2: 2 "insert" Boost 2(Earth Boost for example): 1 Close Counter: 2 Distant Counter: 2 Defiant "insert Stat" 2: 1 Distant Def 2: 2 Close Def 2: 2 Fortress Defense 2: 1 Fortress Res 2: 1 Fury 2: 3 Life and Death 2: 3 Steady Stance 2: 2 Following A-Passives cant be forged into a Weapon: Triangle Adept, Steady Breath, "insert" Shields (Iotes Shield for example) B Passives: "Insert" Breaker 2: 2 Brash Assault 2: 2 Dazzling Staff 2: 3 (Stave exclusiv) Desperation 2: 3 Escape Route 2: 3 (Stave exclusiv) Guard 2: 2 Live to Serve 2: 2 Obstruct 2: 1 Pass 2: 1 Poison Strikes 2: 2 Quick Riposte 2: 3 Renewal 2: 2 Seal "insert Stat": 1 Seal "insert double stats": 2 Shield Pulse 2: 2 Vantage 2: 3 Watersweep 2: 2 Windsweep 2: 2 Wings of Mercy 2: 3 (Stave Exclusive) Wrath 2: 4 Wrathfull stff 2: 3 (Stave Exclusive) Following B-Passives cant be forged into a Weapon: Wary Fighterl, Sacae's Blessing, Lunge, Knock Back, Hit and Run, Flier Formation, Drag Back, Cancel Affinity, Beorc's Blessing C Passives: "Insert" Ploy 2: 2 Breath of Life 2: 2 Drive Attack 1: 2 Drive Def 1: 2 Drive Spd 1: 2 Fortify "Insert Stat" 2: 2 Hone "Insert stat" 2: 2 Infantery pulse 2: 2 Savage Blow 2: 2 Spur "Insert stat" 2 (this includes the new double stat spur skills): 1 Threaten "Insert stat" 2: 1 The Following C-Passives cant be forged into a Weapon: Atk Smoke, Armor March, All Fortify Emblem and Hone Emblem skills, Goad Emblem and Spur Emblem skills, Guidance As an example: Silver Lance has a max value of 4, Therefor it would be possible to forge Desperation 2 (3) and Defiant Spd 2 (1) into the weapon and reach the max value of 4. There are 2 forges, so you would need to pay 50 coins for each forge: Total 100 coins Desperation 2 costs 100 SP: so 50 Great blue Badges needs (since its a Lance) Defiant Spd 2 costs 80 SP: so 40 Great blue Badges needs (since its a Lance) Total amount of Great blue Badges needed: 90 A Brave Weapon with a max value of 2 would not be able to put Desperation 2 (3) on it, because Desperation 2 (3) allready exeeds the max amoutn of point Values, but you could put Distant Counter (2) on the weapon if you wanted. Thoughts?
  23. Hello all, I want to begin this post by stating I am in no way trying to stir up trouble or even disparage anyone's views. I understand there are differences of opinion but perhaps after reading this post there can be some dialogue about future policy changes to the app. Additionally I admit a personal bias that i love this short mobile game, its addictive, charming and easy to pick up whenever. That being said I recently saw a video on Mangs youtube channel Mangs does Lps of Fire Emblem, I love his videos ( and yes it counts as an LP, come on guys hes not that bad. He's definitely been improving since he learned how 'led-geys' work ;) ) anyways, he made a response to another youtuber and associate of his Mekkah. again mad respect for both of them and there is no animosity between them myself or hopefully anyone of this community. I just want to share my thought on this. They both said their piece and made their points. For myself this was the first time I had thought of the possible ramifications of what 'whales' or those who spend extraordinary sums on the game might feel. Certainly there is a level of personal choice here, but it inherently preys on those who are susceptible to (well not manipulation) but influence. I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it all. So this is where I begin my own process of reflection and research. Firstly I created a Nintendo account for a child and was rejected, saying I needed adult supervision as the age i listed (7 years old) was too young to be eligible to create an account. So I used my actual linked Nintendo account created for FE Heroes to permit my 'child' to make their own account. The process is quick and simple and for the first child account requires an initial expense of 50 cents. Nothing for an adult or dude with a job, but impossible for a kid (at least one without their parent's card). So I delete the app, redownload it onto my phone and am about to set up the new account in a brand new game when I was presented with a grayed out icon of the account. The child account was unable to link their account to fire emblem heroes and so I just re-linked my own. Why is this relevant? Well i wanted to see how easy it is for impressionable youths to waste money on FE Heroes and it turns out strictly speaking, they cant. Children accounts don't look to be able to even link to the game. The reason I wanted to experiment with this was to examine how Nintendo deters kids from gambling their parent's money away. I'm relieved to say its difficult for kids to waste money, but the account that could link to heroes was my own, meaning a parent could still give access to heroes to their child via the parental account. The child could then theoretically use a card to purchase orbs without the consent of their parent with no interruption by Nintendo. I've purchased orbs previously to see what it was like and I imagine a kid with my card or theoretically a kid with their parent's card could just as easily waste money. Do i think it likely that a 7 year old would abuse the trust of their parents and work out how to set up an account or else 'borrow' their parent's card for the purchase of orbs? Not really, but the potential is there. So what ought be done? I don't think there is necessarily any moral imperative for a outright boycott. However, as difficult as it is, I think there should be a precaution in place to make sure only the card holder can purchase more orbs. This sounds like a fools errand, any policy by Nintendo could implement would be a hassle to anyone who wanted to purchase orbs and was a rational adult. Perhaps children accounts should be made to be able to link to heroes for tougher parental controls. This likely isn't a very frequent issue. I doubt many 7 year olds are playing a pseudo chess game so maybe no action is really required, or even the inability to link children accounts is in of itself a deterrent to prevent kids from playing the game in the first place. Perhaps more contentiously there is the question of Whales, the players purchasing all the orbs, should there be a check on what a rational adult chooses. One man with complete agency spent 1000$ on Heroes http://www.usgamer.net/articles/fire-emblem-heroes-player-spends-1000-never-gets-hector-or-leo I certainly cant tell others what to do and i enjoy the game immensely, but upon reflection, updates are only available due to continued support and spending by whales, those of us who don't really purchase orbs are still set to benefit. In the end I don't have a solution, but this is the community that solved awakening on lunatic+ so I know you guys are fairly clever and maybe you can see something I don't. I don't mean to critique anyone's view on the matter, I personally think something but I'm not sure what, can be done to restrict children spending (if indeed that is even an issue) and also to perhaps discuss whether the whales indeed are rational or are else being influenced to make decisions they otherwise would not more so can there really even be any regulation or effective policy to conserve peoples wallets if they claim to get benefits from spending on orbs and see it as equal in worth to what they spent. Certainly the alcoholic example is of note here, the similar self destructive tendencies can be hazardous to the wallets of the susceptible but really I'm at a loss of what can be done without infringing upon the agency of others.
