  1. I've been hoping that Corrin deviates from other FE lords given the story he's in. I have heard that Corrin is more on the sensitive side of things, but then I've heard people say he's more generic if anything, or somewhat a mix of the two. From the Treehouse footage, he's nice and naive... that seems to be it. So... how is he as a character? Does he at least undergo some development? Do the events of the game really weigh on him? Please no spoilers.

F.A.Q. Q: Why is the screenshot so blurry? A: I'm working on a Retina Mac so HTML5 Canvas resolutions get a bit wonky on my machine. It should look fine on most people's machines, and if you're a retina user like me, the exported version should still be fine. Q: I can't export! A: Right click canvas save as only works in Chrome and Firefox as of now. I'll work on implementing a cross-browsers solution later. For now, just download Chrome. It's my favorite browser anyway. Q: But I don't wanna download Chrome or Firefox! A: I guess you can take a screenshot or something? You won't get the transparent background if you do, though. Q: Why does it take so long to load? A: Gotta preload 100+ assets to make sure rendering goes fast enough. Fun stuff. Q: The servers are down! A: Unfortunately this is free hosting so I don't have a lot of quota. I'll figure some way to increase that if it's not too much on me. Q: Pls make a Robin Maker too! A: I'll get to it eventually but if you want my life easier, go here, cut up the Robin spritesheets (make sure all assets of the same type are the same size), zip it up and send it to me. If the Robin sprites are separated, I can easily port it by just adjusting some assets and changing the menus. Otherwise, I'd have to write something entirely different to accomodate and I'm lazy.

  5. I figure if any character needs a discussion thread it's the new main lord. She or He is going to be the main character, and so far what do you all think of them? It's gonna be interesting with a transforming main lord (or co-main lord, if Aqua is a co-main character), I wonder how they're gonna work out the stats so Kamui isn't overpowered straight out of the gate. Anyone wanna share fun/cool fanart or theories about our upcoming main character, here's the place to do it.
  6. What do you think is the reason for this scene? (besides the fact that Kamui's a damn Pokémon for all we know)
  7. Seeing how Kamui, Marx, Ryouma and (possibly) Aqua wield unique-looking weapons, I'm curious how they will handle them gameplay-wise. Will they give stat boost/penalties like normal weapons, have extraordinary effects or will they just look fancy? On one hand they are the "canon" weapons that should be strong enough to give players a reason to use them throughout the game, but on the other they shouldn't be too "broken" early on. Also regarding the possible effects of the weapons, how would it affect fighting against Marx/Ryouma? Could they even be effective against dragon-type units like Kamui? Or maybe against each other? What are your thoughts?
  8. A while ago, before IS had confirmed that Kamui can transform, I came up with a theory that hinged on the idea that Hoshidan royalty were all dragon-kin. That has now been confirmed (the Hoshidan royalty bit, not the theory). The theory was that every royal had the potential to transform, but the ability was unlocked by going through extreme mental stress. With Kamui watching their father gain a newfound sympathy for pincushions, the ability unlocked. However, due to Kamui's young age their body couldn't handle a full out dragon session, so the transformation was improper. Probably Kamui's partial transformation as seen here. Upon seeing Kamui grow a cool new mask, Garon decides instead of disposing of Kamui, to raise them as his own. Something happens, Kamui is sent to Hoshido, and meets Aqua. Aqua also having gone through extreme mental stress (she was most likely kidnapped) knows how the ability works better than Kamui does, and gives him a dragon stone. After transforming, Kamui, not used to full dragon yet, freaks out and chokes Aqua. Leading to the scene where they, you know, choke Aqua. This theory could explain why Kamui looks so completely different from his kin (who knows what they looked like before transformation), why no one else can do it, and, more subjectively, why the partial form looks so much cooler than dragon form. Thoughts?
  9. I've been thinking, and I've theorized that some things may represent the four major elements (Not necessarily in Fire Emblem). Those elements being Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind. I've come up with multiple theories: Theory #1: Water: Aqua- She shows some water controlling abilities and her name means "Water." Earth: Nohr- It seems shadowy and as if it is in a deep canyon or valley. Fire: Fire Emblem- Kind of obvious. Wind: Hoshido- It appears to be in the sky, surrounded by clouds. Theory #2: Water: Aqua Earth: Kamui- They can control the earth to create Dragon Veins. Fire: Yatogami (Kamui's Sword)- The golden hue. Wind: The Dancer's Lance- The pure white coloring. Theory #3: Water: Aqua Earth: Kamui Fire: Fire Emblem Wind: Nohr and Hoshido Families- Wind could represent the friction between them resembling a weather font. What do you think? Do you have any other ideas?

So there's been some discussion on Kamui's class and such, so I'd like to state my opinions on the matter (please be mindful that this is my first post and I've only played Awakening, so I am not as familiar with previous generation concepts): I do not believe that the class is directly tied to the manakete class. Kamui clearly does not appear to have the longevity ability that most (if not, all) manaketes in the series have. The transformation that Kamui goes through is different from other manaketes (or at least, from the versions in Awakening). Also, Kamui is clearly a different type of creature, given the new appearance that they have. Because I cannot read Japanese text, for anyone who is able to, would you mind elaborating on the translation of the status screen and such that may possibly give us an idea of what kind of stones will be usable in game (if there is any indication of this at all)? I feel as though it won't be dragonstones, exactly, given that Kamui is obviously not a manakete. Also, for those of whom it concerns, what drew you to the conclusion that Kamui was a manakete? The only similarity I saw was the use of stones and transformation (which doesn't even appear to be the same as in most games). Finally, anyone got an idea of what Kamui's custom class might be? Just want to know what thoughts you guys might have on it, given that I have literally none (since an activation skill seems a bit too early on to have in the game, so I've seen).

  12. Hey everyone. It's pretty awesome that the avatar is the lord this time around. As the title of this thread implies, how do you guys think customization will work this time around? We've seen various screenshots of Kamui having different hair styles and genders, as well as different face types, but I wonder how Kamui being the main protagionist might effect customization. In the latest direct, there was a scene where he was being welcomed back in Hoshido. We could see what appeared to be the default build of male Kamui in his outfit, although his face was blocked off by someone's hat. Could customization be somewhat limited this time around? In general, what are your thoughts?
