  1. Actually I had the problem in my first playthrough too. According to this site she should turn into a sage. But in these screenshots you can see that it doesn't work. I know from my first playthrough that Sara could be promoted, so why not Linoan? Does she need a special promotion item I haven't heared yet or is it one of FE5's bugs? Idk which translation patch I'm using. A friend of mine sent me the link (I can't find anymore) since the patch on SF didn't work for me.
  2. I have heard from different sources that you should NEVER promote your character(s) before level 20. I'm new to this game and I was wondering if this was true? Thanks you!

Hello friends, I've finished Birthright and Conquest and during my playthroughs I noticed that Intelligent Systems changed a lot of things in this game from Awakening and even added new things as well. And one of the things they changed was the level up system, you can't reclass forever so you have to be careful of how to use your seals. I don't intend on making mistakes on my Revelations playthrough, so I ask when is a good time to promote a unit? I just got Takumi for example and I wanna master seal him to a sniper and then heart seal him to a Basara because of Rend Heaven, but the question is should I do that now with him at level 10 or level him up a little bit to improve his stats? Basically what's the optimal way of going about this? Eternal Seals are kind of expensive so I don't wanna buy too many of them if I can avoid it.

Hello, i found some great patch made by icecube, that lets you have branched promotions by items in FE7, after going mad at trying to make it work, i fanally did...But i have some issue, at first i made my knight class 0x15, go to King Zephiel class empty slot class 0x61, and worked fine, tried the to make my knight paladin, and worked fine, but then i tried to mame my paladin class 0x67 great knight (Of course, this has class expansion patch, and works) but game freezes, extrangely after that i used a savestate of when it freezes, changed the class from great knight to paladin again, and the result was curious..it had the great knight standing map sprite, but the moving sprite of paladin... Looks like the nightmare module and the patch work only to change to oldsize table classes, but new classes are not recognized. I do not now why this is happening my guess is that the source code needs to be "upgraded" to read more bytes than 0x62 because i just added the extra classes on the nightmare module and updated the size of that list, but does not seem to work...Soo if there is any power hacker that could thell me what byte or bytes i need to change in the source code to make it work i would be thankful. (Note i still do not now how to asm hack, but i can do it in raw bytes in HxD) Version 3.   5. I have a question about the Wyvern Lord Axe animation. I added it to the game correctly in HxD and FEditor and gave it the Axe and Lance as weapons while removing the Sword weapon level from the original Wyvern Lord tab in Nightmare while adding the palette fix patch. The problem I'm having is the axe, lance animations worked while Cormag was already a Wyvern Lord, but when I started a new game he can no longer promote at all. It shows a black screen with no music and it sticks there. Is there any advice on how to fix this problem?
  6. Hey, I was wondering what happens if you change a generic unit's class... Do the sprite and portrait changes as well ? And if you give them a special promotion item like the dread scroll ? Is there any generic portrait for the dark falcons and the dread fighters ? If yes, please, give me a link to them, i can't find them... I know there are generics portrait for the witches and ballisticians, so there's a little hope !
  7. I was just wondering if it was possible to implement a three tier promotion system. Like, in Radiant Dawn. Except in FE8. You would probably need to expand the class table a lot, not to mention edit the trainee class promotion behavior. So, yeah, is it possible? Maybe with FEXNA? Shadowflare
  8. So I'm very confused on how Seals work in Fates, what does the parallel seal do? And is it true that when you promote to a second tier class, you can't move back down? And with parallel seals, if your level stays the same, wouldn't that mean that when you reach level 20, you can't raise your stats any higher? Any help would be appreciated!
  9. I'm wondering if it's possible to have different growth rates for the same unit, one set for before promotion and one set after. I know it's something that's been done from FE11-13 but I don't know if anyone has figured out how to do it for GBA FE. Alternatively, is there some sort of workaround that would achieve something similar?

Hey there guys, I know that I'm more than likely gonna have to shell out for another copy but I wanted to know if anybody had experienced similar problems and maybe had a solution or two I could try before I drop nearly a hundred dollars on a replacement. I've gotten to the Endgame of the first portion of Radiant Dawn and at the base I can do just about everything. That is everything except get Edward promoted with a Master Seal. When I try I immediately get a disc read error. There are a couple slight scratches on the disc but it's not all that damaged. I've tried cleaning it a couple different ways and still nothing helps. I can start the chapter and play through it, but I have not been able to get Edward to promote in the field so I haven't been able to check whether or not its just his promotion data that's been corrupted by a scratch or if using the Master Seal has something to do with it. That being said I can and have used a Master Seal on Nolan and he promoted just fine. So yeah, if anybody has any thoughts let me know.
  11. The mythical third tier seen in Radiant Dawn. Do you think it should return? If so why? I for one really liked the third tier in RD. Granted that was a game without grinding but it gave me further incentive at the endgame to keep using units and leveling them up. That was also when units got their second weapon type if I recall correctly. I also think it might limit second seal abuse as they decrease experience gained in the long run which you would want to use to level up third tier units. It also promotes having specialized units meaning that if you know you want a certain character to be a beast sword user it might be best to keep him/her on the Myrimidon->Swordmaster->Trueblade track. My only fear is that I have no idea how this would work and balance with the new Awakening features like pair up and part of the reason there were third tiers in RD was because the game itself was so damn long.
  12. I have Claire, that's how far I am. Did some grinding and wasted all my speed boosts equally between Robin, Alm, and Luka. How is promotion different in Gaiden compared to other games?
  13. Awakening, unlike most other Fire Emblems, encourage the player to experiment with character classes and find what works best for them. This being said, which characters who's original classes do you tend to keep the same throughout your playthroughs. And when I say original classes I'm including promotions as well. IE: Turning Severa into a Hero or a Bow Knight is still keeping her in her original class.
  14. New promotion table of FE7. This patch will allow the module to be promotion table editor. Using this patch, each promotion can have its own requirement level. Still, incomplete battle animation of a class will cause a glitch(for example, promoting Druid into Paladin). This patch uses 0xD90000. This module doesn't make an item into a promotion item but change the result of the promotion. Download here
