  1. I was thinking about this, and If Sharena haves her GBA-styled sprite? And also Alfonse, Anna, Fjorm and another Heroes charactera haves their GBA-styled sprites too? I don't know.... Is this a great idea, or not. Because, Heroea is a Mobile game, and isn't canon at all, and more difficult to make the rom hack project.....

Random battles: Pitch: Final Fantasy 10 is an excellent game well-suited to a Fire Emblem Remake due to its cohesive and linear story line. The final fantasy series is well known and has many assets readily available. This could provide a breath of fresh air to FE Rom Hacks and open the gates for final fantasy crossovers. Enemies assets from final fantasy tactics, which can be imported into Fire Emblem. FFX script, which we'd draw on for inspiration FFX portraits are already imported, but some could be touched up. This game is a JRPG, not quite fire emblem anymore. As so many things differ from Vanilla, expect many things that could be improved on. Feedback is always appreciated. Once this hack is completed, I'd like to allow anybody to make use of the random battles code as well as any assets imported or developed for it.   3. I've noticied in Know Your Meme, a fan made sprite was posted in Fire Emblem: Three Houses entry, Is Edelgard von Hsresvelg's GBA sprite in Full body. Is made by BuskHusker, just like the style of The Blazing Blade artist, because, Three Houses has another character designer, Is Kurahana Chinatsu, the person who designed the characters from Uta no Prince-sama, instead to the Awakening and Fates artist. And I found an another one from this latest installment, but in a Fake animated gameplay: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/76939541. Is Dimitri, and is made by sameduma from Pixiv. Well, I guess this rom hack is going to be planned, but Im not sure if this rom hack is going from The Sacred Stones or The Blazing Blade? I thinks The Sacred Stones ROM Hack it's a better Idea for me...... Meh.....

Hey guys im new to this site but i have a small group of friends online and we have the idea for a fire emblem fan game, id like to discoss it more on my discord, idk if i should be posting this here or not, i tried to post this in another section but it wasnt working?   6. What is Fire Emblem: Dawn of Dusk? Fire Emblem: Dawn of Dusk is an FE8 rom-hack I've been working on for the past couple of months. (Link below) Story February 27th, Year 891, Belmisian Calender The dukedom of Fals is destroyed by unknown invaders. The Duke and his family are thought to be dead, except, unknown to all the denizens of Belmise, one survived. Clovis von Fals, son of Duke Vidar von Fals, runs in the dark night, hoping to reach his cousin's duchy to seek aid. In a nearby village, a seer and their band of allies awake to find a royal-looking man fighting against an army. Coming here due to a vision, they believe they've finally found the one they're looking for; the one who will help change the future. Features Dismounting/Mounting: With mounted units, you can make them dismount from their mounts! This can get rid of their weaknesses while adding new ones! Avatar (Shilo): You can play as yourself (if you wish) in the game! The avatar's portrait is made to be gender neutral so you can decide who you are! You can input your own name*, or go with the generic name, Shilo. Skills: Like most modern FE games, there are skills! Each unit gets a personal skill and each class has their own too!   7. One of my RomHack projects right now uses the FE7 engine, and I want to utilize the CG screens. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in illustrating certain scenes for me at what they consider as a reasonable price.   8. Project "Not Thracia" - A Novice's Attempt at Reworking FE6 Overview Let's be honest...Roy's never felt great to use. He moves very slowly, has a late promotion, and doesn't offer value at the vanguard. Oh, and FE6 hit rates? Ugh! So, inspired by Leif and a few Thracia things, it occurred to a few friends and me that we might be able to change some of that. With nothing more than a misplaced sense of optimism and some faint memories of learning x86 ASM in college, I began this FE6 rework: Project "Not Thracia." Notes: This was designed & tested exclusively on FE6 HM. No custom animations/sprites were added; this is a basic hack with minimal ASM. Uses gringe's translation patch. Patching Instructions Install a UPS patcher from (http://www.feshrine.net/hacking/patchers.php). Apply .ups patch. You'll want to check the "ignore" box for errors! Enjoy! Gameplay Changes I personally love FE6 HM; it's my second favorite difficulty from FE4-SoV, right behind FE12 H4. With that in mind, we set out to try to make a few adjustments while not messing with how the base game plays too much. Leadership System This was the biggest change to the game I made, and it takes two things into account: FE6 support grinding is slow and tedious for the efficient player. FE6 hit rates can be janky. Unit Calibration Here are some of the more interesting changes that have been made and a brief discussion of the thought processes behind them. There are a few that I didn't bother to go into detail here, see the README for the full list. Weapon Calibration Some weapons have atrocious hit rates, but buffing these also powers up enemies that use them. For example, I wanted to make Short Bows a little scarier/useful, so they've got +5 to hit from vanilla. Other weapons, like the Steel Bow, are rarely enemy-equipped, but are important for the player (e.g. Steel Bow for Sue), so that has a +5 to hit as well. See the README for the complete list! Links [v2 Patch download] [v2: README + changelog + credits] A big thanks to the folks on the HMNG discord and the FEU discord for helping make this foolish dream of mine come true. FAQ (gathered from Reddit thread) Q: Will you be making any additional changes to this hack? A: If the hack is received enthusiastically, then, yes! Q: Will you be supporting the other translation patch? A: If interest leads to another iteration, I could look into rebuilding these changes onto the other patch, but it's tedious work. I'd need motivated testers to make sure the build is stable and bug-free. That being said, every change and both ASM routines are accessible and documented on Github. Faith and Blood is a custom project that uses FE8 as a base for a new game. It started as a loose collection of ideas I gathered over my years playing Fire Emblem. Eventually these ideas began to be refined in my head and I started to write out a plan for a fangame. When 7743’s FEBuilder was released, I started messing around with the program and shortly after the formal project was born. Class and Item Rebalancing- Adjustments to class and weapon stats to make each class useful in their own niche, without overpowering the others(Knights gain swords and lances for example, while cavaliers are mono-weapon). Split promotion classes have trade-offs to make your choices matter! Varied Objectives- Escape, Defend, Seize, Defeat boss(or bosses) and Rout are all present! Chapters always present something new. Thoughtful Resource Management- Gold is available, but not plentiful. Basic supplies are common, but you will have to make choices about which advanced items to invest in!   11. I'm trying to insert magic animations like Apocalypse, Gleipnir, Naglfar, demon surge, shadowshot, etc. into the rom hack for new tomes and i'm not sure how to make it work.
  12. I have a request for a unique lord animation that requires all physical weapon types (and no item), it's basically a man on a giant horse (like the botw one), more details will be described below.

I'm currently making a rom hack and I'm not good enough to create a battle animation if my life depended on it, and honestly there's a lot to make as there's gonna be third tiers, and to be frank, few third tier animations exist. There's of course gonna be unique lord animations among other things. And since I can't make them myself that well, I'm in need of someone who can make them.

  15. This is my first attempt to begin an FE hacking project. This is an FE8 romhack, not FE7, since FE8 gives me more freedom in FE Builder. I've done it all on my own so far, there are 5 chapters, and I want to make sure I get as much feedback as I can before I keep rolling. Problems you have with the demo, things you want to change, things that you want to see more of as I continue working on it, or even if you want to help out, as I've done this by myself for a little more than a year now.   17. Hey there! My name is Justin, and welcome to the bare bones start of what may be a little series(with any luck) The Desert's Rebellion is a story that I've had planned since like May of last year, and it's the start of a small series that I've also created. In this story, or what I would like to call Book 1: You follow the journey of the young princess Tsura, and the mage of raw talent, Miclas, as they cross paths, and work together to free their homeland from the Barbaric country of Zunbae. A Short Summary of the Story As of this moment, mainly because I kind of gave up on this project halfway through the summer, and just recently got the inspiration to try and pick it back up, I've only got about 5 chapters planned out. I also have reworked the story a tad bit. I have 0 promises as to when this will actually even begin to come out, as I have little to no experience with hacking. The most I can do at this time includes: Making the Portraits(Just the portraits, not even the animations for those portraits) and I can edit characters, classes, and maps with GBABuilder. I am currently clueless as to how I even begin to code in the events, and that's going to take the longest amount of time for me. In a perfect world, I'll hopefully be able to make patches in chapters of 5. Those patches may also include changes to old maps and characters, so I'll try to keep it informed. For now, this is about all I have. Later on, I'll make posts regarding the first 5 chapters, which will include the characters, their sprites, and a small summary of the chapter itself. For our first four characters, I will also include special info in chapter 1 just because these 4 are the only characters who have remained unchanged, and I've kind of grown to love these 4. If anyone would like to help(for instance, anyone who knows how to work GBABuilder would be a most wonderful help) then please feel free to message me.   18. Haha! I’ve been waiting for when my account could freely post so I could upload some of my work. Splicing is something that I’ve worked on for quite awhile now, and I’m confident to say I’ve gotten better at it. My colors don’t clash from other games, faces don’t have messed up jaws, etc. Despite it being splicing, I’ve developed a style of what I like and don’t like. I totally love FE7’s sprite style, and I despise FE8’s colors. So you’ll be seeing much of FE7 coloring. These sprites will be used in my upcoming RomHack! I’ve already gotten them to work in game without a hitch. Let me know what you think!
  19. I’m currently using FE Builder to construct a Fire Emblem hack of my own. I have music and have made conversions, but I don’t know how to loop the music. It said I need to label the loop section in DTM software. Can anyone tell me what that is and how to do it?
  20. Hello there, wonderful people! Here is an user whom you never heard of! Today I am here to show you the only (I guess?) let's play of a Fire Emblem 8 Hack that I really, really enjoyed: The Altered Stones by Mariode. This is my first let's play on this website so I will accept criticism, as long as they are polite and not troll-ish. Sooooooo what is The Altered Stones? Basically a difficulty hack of the original Sacred Stones with some tweaks here and there, with new music and classes for some characters and bosses. And even a new playable character! But we won't see them until mid-late game. But before jumping into the action, I have something to tell you, in order to prevent some comments - This is not a LTC or an efficent run, I WILL take my time and basically route every map. This is how I play every Fire Emblem, and this is probably why I enjoyed Awakening more than many people. I just can't be satisfed if there is even a single enemy on the map, unless it's an escape mission. - I will use the units that I want to use, when I want to use them. Suggestions are welcome but comments like "you must use x instead of y" or "you are using\not using x, you are a bad player!" will be ignored. This is valid for promotions\class changes and supports too. - Will I make favoritism? Hell yeah I'll do! - I played this game until chapter 15, so from chapter 16 this lp will be blind. - Forgive me if I mess up with grammar, I am an italian scum - Sometimes I will comment the story, sometimes I won't. Now without futher ado, let's begin the lp just like Vanilla FE8 does! With Valter facing Seth at 0.1% of his true power. Valty is a luck boi I am sorry for saving your life in the only way possible, Princess Eirika! Luckily Eirika isn't Clarine\Serra\Maribelle\Takumi and understands the situation and forgives his personal shield, takes the classic Rapier from him and prepares to defend herself As you can see, our gorgerous lord is quite boosted. This is because the Rapier, her personal weapon, gives her some passive bonuses, thanks to those she will mostly be a dodge-tank and will laugh at almost every axe in the game. Until the sword breaks anyw- ... Nevermind. Also you get 5 vulneraries instead of 3. That is nice, since FE8 gives you lots of them. Let's look at Seth now. The Silver Knight somehow lost his Steel Sword (maybe Valter stole it?) and his lance is not made of silver anymore. He is still above Frederick levels of awesome, since his bases while nerfed are still great. Also Juna Fruit, if you don't know what that is, basically when a promoted unit reaches level 20, they loses 5 levels but not the stats. Here. Not too bad, right? Also his growths are above 70% in every area outside of defenses. They are still over 45%. He is definitely not as good as Vanilla Seth because he has lower ranks (D in swords and C in lances) in an efficent run but in long terms he will definitely be an overkill god, and he will probably reach such levels because of my slow playstyle Now that we analyzed our duo, let's destroy some Grado mooks, shall we? Burning some rns in order to change how the battles will end. The only time I will do this. What will happen now? Pretty much the same stuff, but without Eirika critting the enemy. Beautiful : Yes I am pretty sure I can. In faaaaaact... : I didn't even need to crit. And thanks for allowing me to level up, kind fighter Pillow:it was decent but it lacks something. Anyways I am Pillow, your master tactican, the one who will guide your actions. : hmkay Didn't you watch the fight? -3- As a pink general says, strenght is everything. And you'll need lots of it to survive this war, therefore you better change your ways of levelling up, your base speed is enough for this entire prolouge-arc. And you will keep going even after meeting Ephraim again, since his route isn't completed and will never be. Unless the creator of this hack returns and updates the hack. Phew, and that's all for today! Now it is time to do something I don't see often in rom hack: rating the units! "But Pillow, you said you don't play efficently, how dare you rating an unit?!?!?!?!?1111" Calm down, I said I play slowly and routing every map but that doesn't mean I didn't try to play fast not even once in my life. For my ratings, I will look at the units with both eyes of a efficent player and eyes of a more slow-paced one. Now let's get down to buisness! Eirika: the lord of the Sacred Stones doesn't really change, keeping her pros and cons. She is still a foot swordlocked unit until promotion, and since Altered Stones enemeis are stronger, she will have a harder time facing even common soldiers until she gets some strenght. But since the Rapier is probably made in Nohr, she will reialably kill Knight and Cavaliers that has been chipped by her comrades, and the buffs in speed and luck will make her a goddess against axe locked enemeis. Her promotion isn't changed so she will spawn a white horse in this hack too, allowing her to cover more space and such. Overall my rating is 6.2\10. ButSheIsMyFavoriteLordInTheSeriesSoIWillGiveHerMorePoints 7\10 Seth: awesome, but what else did you expect from a Pre-Promoted Paladin? I talked about him before and I will say it again, slightly lower bases and much higher growths, should it be a better or a worse thing is entirely up to you. He will still wreck stuff like there isn't a tomorrow, therefore Seth\10. Next time on Altered Stones, two cool dudes will join us and the level ups will be better. Yay!
  21. Hey all! This is my first post on the forums, though I've been a lurker for years now. I've played through most of the U.S. released Fire Emblem games, as well as many of the Rom Hacks here, but I've wanted to make a hack for a long time now that highlighted Fire Emblem's medieval setting to its fullest extent. This hack will feature a strong story concerning conflicts between the different noble houses and lands, but still incorporate the spirit of Fire Emblem games. While this is still in the conceptual stages, the idea is that it will include: - 20 something chapters, telling a rich story within the context of the world. - Custom Classes (and omissions). I want this to be a very character driven story, and thus some generally playable classes may not be represented as it would be difficult to explain their role. For instance, I don't foresee there being a playable shaman/druid, and there won't be any heavy armored female characters. I will try to incorporate some custom classes. I also want to make some other class changes seen in more recent FE's, such as reducing the movement of all non-cavalier/paladin mounted units by 1. - New maps - New weapons, including those unavailable on normal GBA FE's (hello Levin Sword). - Custom mugs and new characters (previews shown below). I really hope that I can give my characters some real creative depth. For instance, your first healer will be a masochistic priest who looks like a thug, and the only pegasus knight you receive is a male. The goal is to have it so each playable character contributes in some way, however small, to the overall narrative of the story and not just feel like a throw-in. Plot: Long ago, the continent of Ishtaria was beset by constant war and fighting, until one day the Goddess Levinia descended from the heavens and put an end to the bloodshed. She entrusted a portion of her power to mankind through a vassal that would be known as the Apostle. The Apostle held immeasurable power and would be known as the voice of Levinia herself. The Apostle would be reincarnated into a new vassal upon the death of a previous one, and this cycle would repeat until the day Levinia herself came down and delivered salvation upon Ishtaria. The first Apostle, Octavius, founded the Holy Empire of Orvel which would rule over the continent for centuries to come, until the War of Three Kings, which separated the continent into four Kingdoms: Orvel, The Marshlands, Merelden, and the Desert Kingdom of Tanaris. The Marshlands were subject to a bloody civil war that ended with the marriage of Lady Beatrice of House Stormholdt and Lord Gabriel of House McTyiere. Together, they had two children, Lord Markeith and Lady Christana, before Lady Beatrice passed away from illness. The story follows Christana and Kellan, Gabriel's bastard son. While Kellan grew up separately from the lordly siblings, the three were close and often played together until Markeith's assassination some years prior. Kellan is accompanied by his longtime friends Colette, Jory, and Macveil. Preview: I've attached a preview of the portraits I've made below. The numbers denote playable characters in the order they are recruited. All others are NPCs, enemy characters, or characters I haven't decided if they are to be recruited yet. I've wanted to make this hack for a long time now, and I really hope I can show you guys some progress in the coming months.   22. Version 2.0 is here! Over four years after the original release, version 2.0 of FE5 Reverse Recruitment is here! The hack has been completely rebuilt using newer hacking tools. Major changes include: The patch now includes the Lil' Manster translation and QoL patch. All credit goes to Miacis and the rest of the Lil' Manster team. For details on the Lil' Manster patch, see here. No currently known glitches Personal weapons are the same as they are in vanilla - no wacky makeshift personal weapons anymore Ronan no longer uses swords, and other similar weird work-arounds have been removed Characters generally have correct palettes in battle (A few characters will use default palette until they promote). Character portraits are changed during dialogue (Note: portraits are not changed during the world map sequences) A few units have some different weapon ranks on secondary weapons, since weapon ranks now follow a new formula when swapping characters that don't have the same number of weapons Authority stars are now swapped, instead of being based on the original unit. Special events items have been changed to be relevant to the unit Some chest items in the Manster arc have been updated to be more relevant for the units you have Other minor changes that are inherent to the fact that the hack was rebuilt Screenshots Patch V2.01 Patch This is an IPS patch, so you will need an IPS patcher such as FLIPS to apply them. The patch should be applied to a clean, japanese, unheadered, V-ROM version of Thracia 776. You will know the ROM is unheadered if the filesize is 4096 KB. How did you calculate the character base stats? Character growths are kept the same. Base stats were calculated by either leveling or "deleveling" characters to their new level, and adding in or subtracting promotion bonuses as necessary. When leveling or "deleveling" characters, all promotions were assumed to occur at level 10. What about Weapon Ranks? Weapon ranks are based on the character that is being replaced. Example: Vanilla Dagdar had A rank in Axes, E rank in bows. Amalda, who replaces Dagdar, now has an A rank in swords, and an E rank in staves How do you get through Manster without a thief? Every character that joins in the Manster arc now joins with 3 door keys in their inventory, so there are plenty of door keys to get through Manster. Some additional door keys have also been added to enemies throughout the Manster arc. Why doesn't Galzus have insane health like he does in vanilla? Galzus's HP is the one stat that is nerfed from what it "should be" based on the calculations for balance. It won't work in my emulator. What should I do? Use SNES9X. The English patch expands the size of the ROM, which some older emulators don't like. Who are the route split characters? A Route Characters: Brighton (Alba must be dead or unrecruited), Macha, Lifis, Dagdar B Route characters: Ronan, Marty, Eyvel How do supports work? Supports are based on the new characters. So Galzus only supports Mareeta, he doesn't support most of the army like Leif does.   23. Whoa! Been a while. Here to revive a dead thread. A lot of stuff has been edited and revised. I've looked over what I had and made several changes to the project. No more demons I've decided that not only can the plot not have demons and be pretty much the same (actually a bit better), but it also expands the gameplay a lot. As we all remember from SS, chapters with nothing but monster enemies can be a bit plain due to their lack of variety, so I just decided to can them. Dragons are cooler anyways. No third tiers This is mostly due to a lack of consistency, and I might change my mind again later if a lot of new animations get made. But I didn't feel like making special exceptions just for muh third tiers, plus I can use the animations for bosses and the like. Nothing else! The rest of the things I wanted to do are the exact same as before, so expect varied objectives and incentives to move forward in maps. THE STORY: Long ago the continent of Panthia was a peaceful one. This all changed when suddenly, a cataclysmic event known as "The Rift" tore the capital state, Ancia, asunder. Mysterious demonic power leaks from the rift, which is poisoning the Ancian people and their land. Their neighboring state, Derrain, refuses to lend aid in fear of the life-destroying aura. So what happens is that I'm trying to insert this portrait I made into fe7 as lyn Lyn(mage)1 Templated.bmp from there, FEditor accepts the file like this I know that the mouths and eyes aren't finished, (in terms of animations) but wouldn't I just get a portrait that stays still? I'm planning on finishing things for animations, but I feel as if I'm doing something else wrong here.
