  1. With the success of the Mario movie, What are chances of getting an actual Fire Emblem movie/tv series/etc?
  2. https://www.deviantart.com/enlightened-titan/art/Tokyo-2020-or-2021-Nintendolympics-Collaboration-888328848 It was a long road, like the actual Tokyo 2020, but we eventually made it. Note that there are 282 characters, counting the horses.
  3. I was thinking of this for a while, I do recall that the Mario franchise has three other protagonists that came from Mario games from the start and then got their own series franchise as part of the Mario Sub-Series like Yoshi and Wario had along with Donkey Kong debut at the same time with Mario from the same game before Mario fights Bowser in Super Mario Bros. I do think we definitely think we need a new Mario Sub-Series based off from a new protagonist that deserves his/her own game franchise since I think the last Sub-Series that the character got was Wario from the Super Mario Land series. So for this thread, you are working for Nintendo and help Shigeru Miyamoto for the development for a new Mario game and thought of adding a new character that later receives his/her own game series. You are to create your ideal Sub-Series that came from the Mario Universe that you think of what you liked to see it happen. Also, I think we should add some like allies, villains, world setting, platform theme, type of platform, items, How the protagonist first encountered Mario in his/her debut appearance, etc. for the new Mario Sub-Series for add more environment as well. I got my idea should be like I want to create like: New Main Protagonist: Probably a female character that uses Knives and Weapon Staff as her choice of fighting style since the other protagonists are guys Nintendo System debut: Probably a Nintendo Switch or a future Nintendo console after the Nintendo Switch The main protagonist's allies introduced in the series: An echo fighter from the main protagonist (saving it for a future Super Smash Bros. game and I definitely remembered that we haven't seen an Echo Fighter from a Mario Sub-Series in Ultimate), some connected close Mario characters like Bowser Jr.'s real mother that we haven't seen yet and Rosalina's brother that was mentioned in Super Mario Galaxy, etc., and a Cranky Kong like character Villains: Big Bad Guy, his big henchmen similar to the Koopalings (maybe 4 Major ones and 8 Supporters), Chinese styled army, Rats, etc. World Setting: An Asian type setting Platform Theme: 2D Type of Platform: Metroidvania styled Platformer Items: Ramen (Power-up), Pork Bun (1-up), etc. How did the protagonist first encountered Mario in her debut appearance: Tricked by Bowser and thought Mario was stealing the Golden Statue for himself.
  4. Power ups can be a gameplay mechanic kind of like how hyrule warriors had the items from legend of zelda games. Anyway here's my roster ideas. Mario: cappy Luigi: poltergust Peach: parasol, hearts, and emotions Daisy: flower/crystal power Rosalina: wand and lumas Pauline: mini toys and music Captain Toad: pick axe, turnips, and spores Toadette: pick axe, acorns(works like toad's turnips), and super crown Toadsworth: cane and toadsworth twist Yoshi: eggs, tongue, and wings Birdo: shoots eggs, bombs, and fireballs Queen Bee: honey bucket, honey combs, and stinger Sprixie princess: hammer and wrench bells they all used to create the rocket from 3D world Donkey Kong: punches, headbutts, grabs, and barrels Diddy Kong: tail and peanut popgun Dixie Kong: ponytail and gumball popgun Funky Kong: surf board and barrel blast Geno: arm gun Mallow: weather attacks Piantissimo: fruit/pepper toss and dashing E. Gadd: super poltergust 3001 Nabbit: sack Princess shokora: attacking in her cursed forms Wario: motorcycle, farting, and warioman Waluigi: dancing and tennis Ashley: red Bowser: fire breath, clawing, and tail smack Bowser jr: clown car Kamek: wand King Boo: dark moon jeweled crown Petey piranha: cages King K. Rool: blunderbuss kannonballs and belly Fawful: vacuum headgear and fawful blaster Vivian: teleportation and her fire attacks Shadow queen: shadow hands and dark energy Count bleck: scepter and chaos heart
  5. So Hasbro and Nintendo revealed a new take on a classic board game of Monopoly. This one has Mario characters with unique abilities and Mario items to deal mayhem to your enemies friends. The classic monopoly elements of buying, dealing, and trading properties are retained as well. Characters in the game are Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi. There's boss battles that can ultimately make or break the winner of the game. I'm a big fan of board games and I think this looks really fun and is a faster paced and more fun way of playing monopoly. I normally don't like monopoly, but this version looks really fun. There's a collector's edition that's only available at GameStop that has Bowser as a playable character. And they also have figure packs that'll be on sale that have one character in them that can be added into the game. These characters are Toad, Luigi (who should've been in the base game am I right?), Rosalina, Tanooki Mario, Fire Flower Mario, Wario, Diddy Kong, and Boo. EDIT: The collector's edition is available now at GameStop! I haven't seen anything of a release date yet though unfortunately..
  6. 64: Top: Watt Bombette High: Parakarry Sushi Mid: Goombario Kooper Low: Lakilester Bow --------------------------------------------------------------------- TTYD: Top: Bobbery Goombella High: Vivian Flurrie Mid: Koops Yoshi Low: Ms. Mowz Factors Included: Access to AoE. Ability to hit different enemy types (eg. Spiked, Flying, etc.). Utility access. Availability is considered but not as heavily, considering how Sushi is a lot more useful against the numerous fire type enemies in Chapter 5 than Goombario is comparatively in the chapters he's in. Backtracking for upgrades/getting Ms. Mowz. For TTYD, durability also factors in. Feel free to discuss/argue, since I'm a bit shakier on the 64 ratings due to not having played it as recently. Koops could probably be higher considering he's the only partner who can hit Spikey enemies until Yoshi which is like 2 chapters later and is the only AoE partner till Vivian, but he also has pretty heavy competition in the mid-late game considering just how good Bobbery and Vivian are and Shell Shield isn't that useful. He also has the lowest HP tied with Ms. Mowz and I don't think 1 point of Defense makes up for 5-10 HP.
