  1. Seth is crazy broken in Sacred Stones, like stupid nuts. Granted, all the early paladin/ advanced characters are kinda crazy, but Seth was just... In all of my three playthroughs of the game (so many I know) Seth has been the only character I could put in the front lines, surrounded by 10+ enemies, and he'd come out barely scratched. The other early advanced chars like Marcus and Frederick got nothin on Seth lmao
  2. Hi, I'm trying to make 4 magic weapons in TSS with Nightmare. They're supposed to hit res for their MT +1/2 str but my Neimi has 21 MT with 7 str on her 13 damage bow, and she hit Bazba for 13 damage on his throne with 5 def. I don't understand, since she hit a fighter before for 20 damage without terrain bonus. How am I supposed to deal with something that deals different damage in different situations? My 13 str lv 7 Gilliam has 27 MT because of that, while she should have 20-21, it's completely broken since I gave it in chapter 3 chests like the lightning sword in Gaiden/SOV and wanted it to work like Fates magic weapons with half strength being the equivalent of physical units' magic stat (then I'll have to halve the MT to get something not broken from the get go and for the whole game...).
  3. Even Sacred Stones is my fav game in the series, when you put all bias aside and look at it as a game in general, it's pretty meh to be honest. The story has one of the best villains in the series, Lyon, and other than the dual lord story, thats really all the game has going for it. The overall plot is kinda messy, but in a way where it still works but very oddly so. And may I mention that the game is EASY. Compared to FE 6 and 7, this game is a cakewalk and doesn't show any real signs of difficulty until really late chapters, where your team will be super buff anyways so it all cancels out pretty much. I beat this game four times and I can say, with certainty, that this is the best, worst Fire Emblem game.
  4. I'll start this off with a message to the mods: If this isn't in the right place, apologies! I couldn't really locate a perfect spot, so I figured since this involved most games the "General" section was a safe bet! ^-^ I have all the games that would probably be a recommendation, so that is already a start. I seem to be having difficulty really starting and committing to a single game though. At first I wanted to play the games chronologically, but since I've been in Archenea (sp?) overload as of late I wanted to play with some new characters. Not that I'm opposed to playing New Mystery if that is the best choice. I'm pretty open to any title, and as the topic name says: not even Thracia, Xavier, and some guy named Cyrus who I'm supposed to fear make me err from it. Games that are challenging make me want to stay and see it through a lot more, and coupled with Fire Emblems' permadeath feature that makes me care about the characters a lot more on top of that. That being said, if Sacred Stones - which I know from a second hand experience is the most "watered down" in terms of the older games' difficulty - would be a better choice, that's also fine. I'm not perfect, I may wipe or lose a chapter last minute on an easy setting, but I'm always fine with finding a better strategy. Standalone titles being axed first is also a fine notion. I'd prefer to save the Tellius games for a bit later, as my "Wii" needs to be gotten up to a more passable speed before I can enjoyably play those two. Basically, I can't choose! They all seem like fun, interesting titles to me. Like seriously, I'm so glad I picked up Birthright and Awakening, which led to Echoes, then Warriors, and now all of these wonderful gems. It's nice to have that "in love" type of enthusiasm for a whole series again. ^-^ So yeah, any suggestions or opinions on why "X game is the best" are welcome. I want to hear 'em all. Danke!
  5. This here makes FE8 an actually good game. Patch it to clean FE8 rom. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dhz53k8mhaygxua/FE8 Enhanced Edition.ups?dl=0
