  1. Project Exile (yet another) Thracia 776 Menu and Script Translation Thracia 776 has long been the FE community's white whale. Project Exile is my own attempt to finally put this English patch to bed, using the remnants of Kirb's patch as a foundation and taking the menu translation (and considerable technical advice) from Zane. The script uses a new translation, done by myself. In the spirit of transparency, and to help disseminate this new translation more quickly, you can view complete PDFs of my translation below. As you would expect, I've translated a few names differently from how many people might know them, but any changes were made for the sake of clarity. Without further ado, download links follow below, as well as contact info and the Discord server the patch is being coordinated out of. Download here PDFs of the script Screenshot gallery Installation: 1. Obtain an unmodified, unheadered ROM of Thracia 776. I cannot help you do this. Your ROM's MD5 checksum should be equal to: 2A33F6F4D8070426C60BECE6E7F1409B If you don't know what that means, this website can help you: http://onlinemd5.com/ 2. Extract your unmodified ROM, LunarIPS.exe, and ProjectExile101418.ips to the same folder. 3. Open LunarIPS.exe. 4. Click the "Apply IPS Patch" button. 5. Select ProjectExile101418.ips. 6. Select your unmodified Thracia ROM. 7. Your previously unmodified file, which you selected in step 6, is the patched ROM you should now use. Its MD5 checksum should now be equal to: 52295816F59F67B8A54D088C6CDBA15B Known issues: - Individual reactions to Leif dying in the game over dialogue are not yet translated (Finn's response, Eyvel's response, etc.) - In the shop menu, certain characters of description text will temporarily remain on screen after moving the cursor to another item - Win text for the Arena is not yet translated - Text on the world map has not yet been updated to reflect the translation, nor has the title screen been altered - Other minor text headers have slight visual errors To preempt some additional questions: "What's your stance on names from Heroes content?" If it's in mainline Heroes content OR was in Awakening, I'll use it. Names from Heroes supercede names from Awakening (so "Loptous" in favor of "Loptyr", for instance). However, this has one exception: names that were ONLY in the CYL poll for Heroes will be ignored. If this sounds arbitrary, that's because it is. Joking aside, though, with names like "Carrion" it's easy to get the impression that the CYL list was probably a rush job and shouldn't be taken as gospel. "What's your stance on Project Naga?" To be clear, I and my team have absolutely no involvement in Project Naga whatsoever. However, to avoid confusion, since most players will be coming from Project Naga's FE4, any names that were used in PN will be used here as well, provided they aren't contradicted by Heroes material (so retaining location names such as "Connaught" over "Conote", for instance). PN was how I was exposed to FE4 to begin with, and I think BoH and the PN team did a stellar job, so this is the least I can do. "How can I help?" There are two areas I need help with, first and foremost: Firstly, the menu font could be altered to be more legible and technically flexible - currently, the number of unique character strings it can display is limited, unlike the dialogue font. If you have experience with SNES fonts and would like to help, please see the Discord info below. Secondly, precise editing of the world map has yet to be done, and location names are still untranslated ("Conote", etc.). If you have expertise with this area and believe you can help, see the Discord info below. 2. The game has been out in Japan for a month and in NA for a week, and the only languages available on the JP cartridge is Japanese and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Why is English not an available option? Other games with international releases have all languages available and even automatically translate to the language of your native system. Why not Warriors? The game itself isn't even viewable on the eShop if you try to look at the software through the JP cartridge. While Nintendo may say that region-locking isn't a thing, in a way, they haven't changed at all. Does anyone have any insight or knowledge as to why this is or if this will be addressed any time soon?
  3. So yeah. I guess the trailer really is complete now. Also Tiki's British accent is cute.
  4. English Half-Card Proxies

Introduction Hello All! I have undertaken a project to create half-card English proxies for each set of Fire Emblem Cipher. The purpose behind the project is to increase the accessibility for newcomers into the game. It is recommended to double-sleeve all cards using the proxies: sleeving the card in a perfect fit sleeve, and then the proxy and card into a sleeve with a non-transparent back (like KMC Matte Sleeves). Early 'Proof of Concept' Photos EDIT: Summary on recent work. The following changes are included in the second run: Characters with more than 2 skills will now have their absent skills included. Characters with more than 1 support skill will now have their absent skills included. To reduce the quantity of ink, actual card backgrounds were substituted for the solid black background. Skills are now surround by their own background (similar to the cipher cards). To save space, the bottom half off the proxy was condensed. Skills with leading icons now have the icons present. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Starter Decks Starter Deck 1 - War of Darkness Full PDF (under revision) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 2 - Awakening Full PDF (under revision) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 3 - White Night Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 4 - Black Night Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 5 - Path of Radiance Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 6 - Illusory Revelations Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 7 - Binding Blade Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 8 - Genealogy of the Holy War Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Starter Deck 9 - Land of the Gods Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Booster Sets Booster Set 1: Warblade of Heroes Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 2: Soulful Flames of Light and Dark Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 3: Twin Swords of Hope Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 4: Illusory Revelations Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 5: Overcoming Rivalry Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 6: Storm of the Knights' Shadows Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 7: Rise to Honor Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 8: Life and Death: Beyond Fate Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) Booster Set 9: Thunderous Earth Full PDF (unavailable) Singles (complete set, rev. 2) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Help Contribute Any feedback regarding the proxies is welcome! 5. I just saw five videos that NintenDann's channel, I don't see a topic was created and this was uploaded from 3 hours ago. And holy crap at that reunion scene after the Cutscene. Wow, just wow. They managed give a tough personality for Celica and got an argument with Alm, poor Alm that he didn't get a chance how the Ram Village was doing. I feel a lot speechless. By the way, Atlas's village is still called Mountain Village since Awakening has it in an island instead of the mountain of Zofia and the woman that was next to Atlas when she was talking about her son saids "Dragon Shrine", but I'll look at the rest of the videos later. Boss Battle of Fernand was split into two parts. By the way, the knight boss in the first map of Alm's route in Act 3 name is Zakson and the boss that is fought where Palla and Catria is at name is Garth. (I don't know if Garth and Barth are like brothers since they did have the same portraits in the original game and that almost have the same name as well?) Also, the other four videos are in this spoiler tag: Edit: I managed the watched the whole video on the battle where Zakson and Frenand are fought, Tobin has an Arts combat skill called "Heavy Draw".

  9. Playable English Demo?

Does anyone know when there will be a playable English demo of fates? There was one for Awakening months before the game came out, it's already December and I'm kinda impatient...

  11. English Translations?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of importing the game, but my Japanese skills aren't all that great. I can read hiragana, katakata and some basic kanji, but I have no doubt that I'll be looking up kanji and grammar every few minutes while playing the game. Does anyone know if there will be English translations of the game posted anywhere? I apologize if this topic has already been discussed elsewhere. Thanks!
  12. NO WAI? YES WAI!
  13. So, me, being the slow kid I am, only just noticed that Super Danganronpa 2 has been released in America - 2 months ago. As soon as I realized, I had to go check out the voices. I'm a little pressed for time ATM, but when I have time, I'll edit OP and give my opinion on the voices. Probably all of them. Now - What are your opinions on them? Do you prefer the Japanese or English voices?
  14. I've known about Fe7if for a while now and have "tried" to play it (I punched a hole in my wall because of my rage, got a number for any good wall plasterers?) and its safe to say its tough and draws out every ounce of rage. I know there is a patch for fire emblem 6 that translates all of it into PERFECT english. So is there a Fe7if english patch in the works yet? The fans of FE have done patches for almost every single fire emblem game so why not this great hack?
  15. At first glance,I loved the english voices, hearing that little quote with each cut-in was magical to me. Until of course I heard some of the character's English voices with a more open mind. I love Brady's English voices, i'll preach that all day and all night, most of Noire's english voices are impressive as well, the evil laugh is spot-on though. I heard the quotes over and over again, and, for most characters, the magic was leaving because I couldn't really get behind them, they are either not serious enough for my tastes, ie. Henry, or way too intent, ie. Fem MU voice 3 I believe. And then there was Morgan. My sweet little daughter shouldn't have the voice of a grown woman, it's just... When I pair her and Brady, because Brady is my son-in-law, I want to hear Brady's English voices, but Morgan will jump in with her 20 year old unfitting womanly voice and just rng breaking crit luckyness, and i'll be all, "oooh... Just, no... Morgan, shush, let Brady talk." Only Fem Morgan though, male Morgan I know far too little about to judge him. And that's why I use the Japanese voices, I may not understand them well, but I'm learning, and the japanese ones, in my opinion, sound a little bit cooler. But what about you? Which voices do you use?
