  2. Without further ado, allow me to present to you my gift everyone. It is in the form 100+ hours of my labor. Okay so joking aside let’s get straight to it since you clicked on this for a reason. After doing some searches and not really finding much concrete information I decided to take on the grand task of answering all the questions that we could have about this topic’s subject line. I will list the key information to answer the questions right away here in this thread and will also respond but you’ll find a greater amount of information in the following Microsoft word document I’m attaching. Keep in mind a few things here though. I had every intention to share this information once I nailed it down so you’ll see my banter in the document. I tried pretty hard to make the document look organized since I knew people would be reading it. I created Introduction section followed by the actual questions I’d be putting to the test plus the research section and finally at the bottom the theories section and my monologue as I was testing. Keep in mind that prior to this I already had almost 198 hours on my save file. Meaning I had quite a few of the supports done. Since w/o DLC there are only 23 play-able characters (which I refer to as test subjects) my “resources” started to disappear once I began some testing. So in my document I very strongly emphasize who was clean and who was dirty (in the sense that maybe they had a few rogue points already saved off to the side before I even tested them) There are a few things I have left unanswered myself so I have to leave those parts up to the community to solve. But at least with my ground work done you can quickly read over what I already tested and theorized then go from there. If you’re wondering why I didn’t start a new file then I say to you…..NO! I’m already a little anxious to share all this with you but also I want to finish playing this game casually and enjoy the rest. So this bit right here is to the mods who I was DM-ing before i posted this as well as to anyone to finds this information and wants to re-locate it in any way/form/fashion. Now without further ado the key information. (btw I checked, I’m at 328 hours in my save file now. I really love SF to give it 120+ hours right?) An officer is an individual i refer to that is not a common solider and can be killed with one hit (unless you're really powerful and over-leveled). These people are the ones with icons on the map, can drop weapons, and are actually represented by names. Examples include the Knight, Wyvern Rider, Manakete, Solider, Swordmaster, Fighter, Thief, Fort Captain, and additionally anyone that has a special name but is still the same thing (examples include messenger, awakening tonic supplier, ruffians that sabotage bases, etc) You can earn 16 Support Points per battle based off of officer kills (in other words, each officer is worth 1 point) Once the sound effect changes, you gain NO MORE support points. It is equal to 0 To go from no support rank to C is 21 support points (2 battles) To go from C rank to B is 33 support points (3 battles) To go from B rank to A is 59 support points (4 battles) Sub-missions are worth 2 points Sub-missions are in the same pool with officer kills and max at 16. In other words, if you score 16 officer kills and then complete a sub-mission, you gain no points for it Unleashing a Dual Special is equal to 1 support point (officer kill) Dual Specials are in the same pool with officer kills and max at 16. So 14 officer kills + 2 dual specials = 16 points, any further gains are worth 0 Healing is equal to 1 support point Healing follows the same rules are dual specials Now this little tid-bit is regarding bringing out multiple people and how many pairs can you do. (Regarding #3 i only go up to testing 3 pairs. Didn't make it any further) One character can support as many people are you can deploy The points gained are neither diminished or reduce and follow the above rules Multiple people can hit the next support rank in 1 battle (Example: Chrom with Lucina, Chrom with Robin, Tiki with Marth, Caeda with Codelia) Witnessed thus far, up to 48 points (maybe more) can be earned in one battle. That is equivalent to 3 pairs of people Alright, more comprehensive information can be found in my follow Microsoft Word attachment that has 21 pages (i kept up with all my experimenting and research). If you have any questions you are free to ask. Also as stated in my paper, i started to run into some snags near the end so there will be undoubtedly some information i don't have. This includes me not having fully grasped and understood what the blessing in the Temple did, as well as getting access to the DLC support item (equipment) Research.docx
  3. Hi! I am working on a project to provide weighted character growth rates to one another for each mainstream Fire Emblem game and have just completed the barebones version of Awakening. Let me know what you guys think and I am open to criticism, new ideas and personal preferences! For more information, click here! Click the following link to view the spreadsheet: https://1drv.ms/x/s!AiqDxSufSqcggssD_Io1RZAWs_ip3w Enjoy!
  4. Hi! Blurb I have been working on providing more useful growth rate information, specifically the deviations of each character's growth rates to the average growth rates in the respective Fire Emblem title they appear in since that type of information truly demonstrates how useful a character is in proportion to other characters. This means that you no longer have to manually compare all the growth rates to one another and judge what you think is best. I am open to criticism as I would like this information to be as accessible and useful to the Fire Emblem community as possible! Furthermore, if you would like to help with the project and get access to the spreadsheets, just join the Discord server and we can discuss further from there! Links Discord: https://discord.gg/HpfK7EP If you are interested in providing input and working on this project together, simply click the above link and tag @Prospect#6861 once in the server, to get started! Spreadsheet: https://1drv.ms/x/s!AiqDxSufSqcggssD_Io1RZAWs_ip3w If you are just interested in seeing the spreadsheet click the drv link above. You are allowed to copy the spreadsheet and edit it yourself how you see fit! Roadmap Add all expanded growth rates for the 3DS and Virtual Console Fire Emblem titles. Provide interactable graphs to visualise data effectively. Include character profile pictures for easier glancing and analysis. Fix and finalise personal formatting for data. Changelogs 18/06/2018: Addition of Basic Graphs Open Release Format Adjustments General clarity Fixes Removal of Unnecessary Information Base growth rates have been included The base version of Awakening is complete. Aptitude was added to Mozu.
  5. Hello guys! I found a lot of information regarding the raw growth rate stats but had trouble finding any comparative data, thus decided to try to form my own charts. I have thus far inputted all the growth rates and then formed an average and compared each character's growth rates to the average. I totalled them all up and this allows some really good comparisons: I will work on a proper document with even more info like this including charts and graphs, so stay tuned! If you would like to help just DM me :) I have many plans and will probs do this for each game! The excel document should be ready soon with ordering too! If this all exists already please tell me, but thus far I haven't found anything like it! 7. Yo dudes and dudettes! So I've played a couple fire emblem games (shadow dragon and blazing sword) and I can't really get along with something.. Basically in every game what I did was decide which units I wanted to train and basically ignored all others. I choose to level them up to lv. 20 before promoting them, but what happened is that in the end of the game they all were mostly lv 18 or 19 and only a couple had been promoted, and didn't even get to level up. So yeah, I loved both games, but before moving on the next title I wanted to ask you guys, is this really it? I feel as if I'm not getting the most out of my units.. is there some sort of strategy to make them more powerfull or something? What use is there in pushing them to lv 20 before promoting if you're not gonna enjoy them once promoted? Any tips are really welcome. Thanks a bunch!
  8. Hi guys, I've bought the collector game when he's released but I didn't play yet. And I've begun last night. My question is : Can we change randomly growth rates' unit just before he levels up ? I know that in Akawening, it works but in Fates, I don't know. I heard that in Lunatic mode, growth rates are predetermined, what does it mean precisely ? :(
  9. I understand that there are 9 sets of growths that the game uses in FE5 to determine random enemy stats and I have found them, but I wonder if there is a way to alter the pointers so that certain classes only pull from certain growths. I've checked the data via nightmare and windhex to try and see patterns, but no luck. I'd like to take those 9 growths, like with physical 1&2 and fighter 1&2 and change them to be more speed or defense oriented and assign swordmasters or generals to the appropriate growths. Does anyone know where this data can be found?
  10. Hello, I am new here and english isn't my first language. My first question is about character growth and stats. I read somewhere that in both DS games, the characters are getting worst and worst the later you recruit them. From the stats table I can see that it is not exactly true, actually apart from some exception (like Arran) most characters have similar growth rates. So is it safe to say that for a good character selection (not a perfect one) I should only consider keeping unpromoted characters like Rody instead of Sirius because they have more potential or is it not always true ? Thanks
  11. So, I used the casual bookmark and was fooling around with different weapons and level ups. I kept reloading the save with a streetpass avatar myrmidon, and a killing edge kill gave him Mag and Def +1, but the Brave Sword gave him three stats instead of two. It seems that perhaps brave weapons might make the RNG re-roll for level up growths. Discuss.
