  1. FE7 Character Patch for FE8

    Hello, my name is Dualitysl and for a couple of days and nights, I have been working on a Fire Emblem patch that includes FE7's characters. I wanted to do this just so I can see other characters I wanted to promote as different classes but also include a promotion branch as well. I've tested everything up to Chapter 14 on Erikia's story, but I believe for the most part that this game is stable to play fully with some bugs to be listed below. Features: - Lloyd (ER) and Linus (EPH) are your lords. - Hector revised palette battle animation. - Characters from FE7 and some FE6. - New class: Dark Knight (Promotion from Shaman) replaces Necromancer. - Portraits are changed to their respective characters. - Main enemy bosses base stats has rose. (Game is to be played on hard. Normal is too easy.) - Fighter battle animation is now from Fire Emblem 10. + Much more to come! Known Bugs: Do not follow the story and promote EPH or ER using their respective braces to avoid anything happen to your game. Some characters still may be able to use their original weapon from their starting class if they're not a different character/class. i.e, Linus who replaces Ephraim may be able to use lances. I will get to the story soon. It will just take a tedious amount of time but I will get around it soon. PALETTES FOR EVERY CLASS ARE STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS Any bugs anyone is able to find, please comment down below and I'll see if I can work on it.   2. I'm someone who just stepped out of my comfort zone and started to try to do hacking and stuff. I can't event and I'm not much of a storywriter (I can make pretty good concepts, but can't flesh them out enough), but anything else I can do just fine, unless I'm forgetting something. ~~PLEASE HIRE ME~~ -Miles :3
  3. All right, now that Binding Blade's Vindication patch has been finished (for now anyway, I might tweak it in the future). I'm now moving to my Divine Crusade and Promoted Power Madness (Blazing Sword) projects. This project has the following objectives: - balance the game (by changing movement, stats, skills and growths of characters). - modernize stats a bit by reducing HP to the more common levels of recent FEs as well reduce weapons MT - Possibility of changing the maps a bit (not yet sure if possible) - Make light magic more common to use and get - Make almost everyclass capable of doubling via pursuit, with the exception of the tankier classes (so that pursuit ring doesn't become useless) Here's a patch for you to have a bit of a taste. It's not even remotely complete, but the prologue is pretty much fully playable. Other chapters might be as well, but I haven't touched all the enemies and allies that join, so some characters might be off. Use the headered version of the game for this patch, which is what I tested this on. Divine Crusade v 0.4.ips

It always bothered me how growths and bases make little sense in this game, thus, I've created this patch, which I dubbed Justice for All, since it's meant to make everyone to be as balanced as possible. Broken characters shall be knocked from their high horse, while characters that are too hard to use will become just as good as your usual good character. Changed quite a few things and removed some irritations (like Echidna using an heavy axe and being easily beaten in Hard mode for instance, now she is equipped with a sword by default and thus the RNG is much less likely to hate you). Needless to say, I've changed growths and bases, I plan to at some point to add a list, so you can see the changes to growths and bases. This is a project that I plan to develop more in the future, so some things will be changed later. Also, if anyone could point me to a way to raise Roy's level cap as a lord and experience gained (not as a Great Lord) and only for him, I would be gratefull. I haven't fully tested the patch before the last changes I've made. So do share any problems you might have found. *UPDATED TO V.2.0* -Made some more changes to characters growths and bases - Light magic ranks changed. Light magic starts at C rank, with Lightning as a C rank tome, Divine as a B rank while Purge keeps being an A rank. - All enemies from chapter 22 and beyond are now promoted and level 20 - Classes of enemies in chapter 24 changed. More variety of enemies. Enemy levels in this chapter were increased to 25 for further boosted stats resulting from class growths. -Tweaked Yahn and Idun's stats a bit further. Yahn is now capable of surviving more than 3 hits from Legendary weapons, thus managing to be challenge enough as far bosses in Binding Blade go. - Roy's promotion stats nerfed. Only HP, CON, DEF and RES increase in order to compensate for his higher than normal growths. - Binding Blade's weight increased to 10, to prevent Roy from doubling Idun even at max SPD. - All legendaries MT is now 15. Future plans: -Tweak any issues that might pop up. Keep me informed of any oddities.   5. Genealogy of the Holy War Engine

    (Wasn't sure if this would go here or in Fan Projects, so I flipped a coin.) This is just me being curious, but would it be possible to use FE4's engine to create a ROM hack? I don't mean a translation, but using the game's engine to create an entirely new game from scratch (new sprites, new map design, new classes, new weapons, etc.) Of course, all things in this area are difficult, but I'm wondering if it has ever been done before/could it be possible.

  7. Chapter 15?

    So, I've been hacking FE7, and I got to chapter 15, but I can't locate chapter 15 in the nightmare modules.There is one 15, and it is the Hector mode chapter 15. It isn't marked with an H, and there isn't an E15 either. This chapter in Eliwood's story is where you get Lyn's party back, and I want to put their palettes back to the way I set them when they enter, but I can't find the chapter? Can anyone help me here? P.S. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm sort of a noob.
  8. - This is a Tearing Saga save file that contains all of the Bosses Characters and almost all of the NPC, there are 53 characters. (which I mistyped 153 in the readme.txt) - All stats are gotten from the game. - All Weapons and usable Items are in the storage. - Some characters got a higher stats than they have in game because they are available in versus mode and they are stronger or a similar character with the same class appears in versus mode. - Weapons are given based on my personal taste - Some NPCs just have an unique overmap model,in battle their model will be default according to their classes.For example: Richard (if he is mounted), lacks an unique battle model, so the original model will be loaded.On foot both of his model works fine. - The evade bonus category is broken for some character which I can't do anything about it since a hack that makes their nickname shows up correctly does it. - Unfortunately the game doesn't load portrait for characters that are not originally in your party. - This doesn't include characters that you can recruit and stay with you until the end. - Zahaak or Azi Dahaka silences ALL OF THE ATTACK,render the user invincible.So the fix is open TRS Modify,go to category 5 from left to right,select Zahhak and change "Dark cannot Counter" to "Cannot counter".It will makes change to your iso so use ECCREGEN program in Data folder to fix the Error-Correction code image file for console usage.You will have to set your locale to Chinese in order for all features of TRSModify to work correctly. * The following things may or will corrupt your save data, so read it carefully: - DO NOT put any of the dragons,or the monster, or some characters who don't have a portrait as leader (first slot).You'll get a Broken File after saving,it is easily solved by not using them. - Black Rain is bugged in Versus Mode, it is usable on Turn 5 of the game so the computer will use this and end the battle immediately.You'll be given 2 options: to restart the chapter or to quit.If you choose to restart the chapter,the game will freeze.If you choose to quit,the battle ends in a draw regardless of the result. - If there are more than 2 dragons in the same map there will be graphic corruptions in some of them. - I don't know if you can use the Save Staff to save mid-battle but this is just not recommended. - How to use it: + If you are using an emulator drop the memory card file from the folder "Memory Card Image" to your memcards folder.You may have to rename the file if necessary. + If you are using a PSX or a power user then I have 2 folders "Single Save File" and "PS1 RAW Save" for you to try things out.Unfortunately my PS1 broke and I never transfers save to real PS1 memory card before so I can't help you.You can try to paste the save from "PS1 RAW Save" folder to the root of your PS1 memory card on a PS2 with Ulaunchelf. - The files in Reference Data is for researchers and hackers who wants to transfer the characters by using Cheat Engine or Artmoney to their save game.   11. Fire Emblem 6: Easier Hack version 1.09 (Updated July 2, 2013) I made this hack to lower the difficulty of FE6 (just a wee bit, actually) for players who find it a little hard. Character stats are tweaked, but not too exteme, so it isn't completely breeze-through easy. And also, support conversations are unlocked easily.   12. Face Sprite/MugsShots Help FE7

    I'm trying to create my own custom Mugshot or face sprite whichever name you prefer. I know you can just edit and photo shop the characters from the game but I wanted a pure custom one. So I created a face, but now I cant find any information on how to size it and make it into a full fire emblem face sprite. I'm looking for an easy simple way but if I must I'll go the hard way. Maybe I'm missing something super obvious. If I am I'm sorry >.< I'm still quite a noob at this hacking stuff so please bare with me. If anyone knows a site,program, or a diagram that will help me figure out the size and the cutting of the face along with the chibi face size please do tell. Thank you very much in advance.
  13. My FE4 Hack Here

    Uh well after all the time spent on it finally, finally I feel it is ready and completed. The final version of my Fire Emblem hack project. I call it Fire Emblem 4: Overpowered. As the name suggests things are overpowered in this hack in fact everything is player characters and enemies especially everything is inflated in some way affectively becoming broken. Now the concept of my hack may turn a few of you off due to it`s nature but my earlier version actually had some people actually love the overpowered characters and stuff. So I hope more will feel the same with this final one. This is my first ever hack and it really isn`t supposed to be all that serious a project if it was I would have done something much large scale than this. This hack is pretty much for a few laughs as some of the edits I did are crazy as heck this is pretty much fire emblem on crack or something haha Sigurd`s hair is even purple in this. This hack was largely done out of my love of Holy Weapons I always loved how epic it was in FE4 when you fought against someone like Ishtar or someone and you would face them down with a holy weapon or your own and that epic white flash would come across the screen for both of you. I`ll make a short list of changes in this hack here the rest you can see in the readme file I have included with the patch please do read the readme there is vital info inside that needs to be known and I address a few things about the hack in there too. Also another note about this hack it can be patched to english with an english I tested it by downloading an english patch from here it works. Because I have had many people constantly ask me is there an english patch for this hack so yes you can patch over it again and turn it english everything remains intact in the hack. Patch Download:http://www.mediafire.com/file/92uwlx62xjb25dq/FE4_Overpowered_patch.zip *Almost everyone has a holy weapon enemies included there are also fake holy weapons in here most are strong silver weapons or magic spells that give the same bonuses but have inferior attack power and accuracy. *Almost every deleted or unused skill or item are brought back here everything from the Silence Sword to Darkness Sword skill and Holy Sword. Ah and the Great Arch is revived here too basically the strongest Ballista type enemy that just never made it in the final release of the original game don`t know why. I woulda have included the charm staff and thief staff too but those are impossible since they just lock the thing up and freeze it. *Substitute characters don`t suck anymore. They are actually worth using however still inferior in ways to the regular children. they have inferior skill sets most of them and in this game skills are vital especially stuff like awareness and charisma. Awareness is a godsend in this hack because a lot of weapons now do extra damage to certain classes or enemies have the critical skill which is insta death so pay attention to special skills. *More love options. Altenna can now be paired up and Yuria can too no more relying on the jealousy system you can pair her up normally. The substitute units can also be paired with literally anyone yes even sibling pairups so yep sums that up. *Oddly colored maps yeah remember how I said this is like if fire emblem is on crack or something I think the colors of some of the maps I did shows that for sure don`t be shocked at weird colored water and stuff. *you can now do the triangle attack there are 2 sets Fin, Ethlin & Cuan and then there is Celice, Leaf & Aless *Almost everyone can class change so keep an eye for that. Even pre promoted units like Cuan or Hannibal can change classes. Also Diadora can class change too no longer is she locked to Shaman. Speaking of Diadora you can now sell her Circlet. *Almost every Holy Weapon can be sold and passed around. Most all Holy weapons are merely A rank weapons now. The only ones I left locked are Naga and Loptousu because they are both way too OP even for this game standards to just be passed around. So be careful with Loptousu as you only get 1 from a village and the person must have major Lopto blood to use if not you are screwed as ya can`t sell it in the shop. If you are curious to what village it`s the village on chapter 9 that has Loptousu your gonna want that. But keep it away from Tyrfing and Naga yes Tyrfing negates Lopto`s affects so only 2 threats and well..critical hits those will do it. Anyway I think that about sums up this hack again be sure to check the readme file and hope some of you actually enjoy this little silly project. I`ll leave a few screen shots and video footage of the gameplay so you can see how it plays out as I am also recording gameplay of it to show it off.
  14. Tile Changes with Tiled

    So I've read a million outdated tutorials on this, Nintenlord and Markyjoe taught me how to make and insert the changes with EA, but nobody but arch has any info on coding it. I have my changes stored at an offset, but I just need someone to tell me how to code it. That complex mappy code that looks like this: #define TileMap(TCN,X1,X2,L1,L2,TilePointer) "BYTE TCN X1 X2 L1 L2 0 0 0; POIN TilePointer" #define TileMapEnd "WORD 0xFF 0 0" cant possibly be the way... but if it is, someone please to god teach me what each piece of it means with tiled. And tell me if I need a tile reference table like the one Arch has in his tutorial. its a broken link though. Memes aside, any help on this would save my Chapter from doom and I thank you in advance for the trouble.
  15. What is this? This is an hack that allows unit to dismount, as pictured above How can i set which class can dismount into which class? Open Installer.event in a text file and go to the end. you should see something like this: DismountMountTable: DismountMount(KnightLord, EliwoodLord) DismountMount(Cavalier, Mercenary) DismountMount(Nomad, Archer) DismountMount(Nomad_F, Archer_F) DismountMount(Paladin, Hero) EndTable Simply Edit that table to add the classes you want, using The mounted class as the first argument, and the dismounted class as the second.   17. Alright, so I know there aren't alot of AW2 fans out there (Maybe theres more than I imagined), but i want to try a few things. First off, is it possible to text edit in a ROM? For example, changing every mention of yellow comet to black hole and vice versa? Also, is it possible to inject maps into the ROM as well? Like changing every map that has Yellow comet, to be replaced by Black hole along with units as well? Third, how hard would it be to inject a ROM into a physical cartage? because it'd be fun to play that with the changes I made with some friends of mine
  18. FE6-Redux-Hack-Tag-Team

    This isn't a LP of the original FE6 but of a patch called redux hack. It fixed some issues from the main game like balancing the stats and growthrates of most units and improving axes, lances and bows and make them as accurate as in other games. That means that no one should be disqualified in this game anymore. Units like Gonzales, Sophia and Wendy should be seriously usable now. However I have to say it's also the first time that I ever will play this hack; it's just what I expect. I'll mention some differences of the party members between the original game and this patch. Difficulty: hard These units have to be used in each chapter after they joined and must be kept alive.     Hi everyone, so I'm new to the hacking stuff, but I've been able to get through most of it with the numerous tutorials that I have found. However, I can't seem to find the answer to a few questions regarding FE7. 1.) In Chapter 1 Map, there's a glitch. Wil seems to show up for some reason, twice and very glitchy. The UPS patch can be found attached. 2.) Is there a way to make the game 1 story-line instead of the three original ones? destiny.ups
  20. Hello! I'm currently working on a hack of FE6 that's still is VERY early in development. I have a story outlined and some characters already implemented. I plan on having the cast be a mixture of fan favorites and fan hated characters. (It would fit it in with the story, but I don't want to release that quite yet). It would be really great if this poll I created could be filled out so I can start fleshing out my story and implement these characters.   21. Nightmare Help

    I'm just starting out on hacking FE8, and I'm trying to use Nightmare. Everything runs smoothly in the application, and it saves correctly, but whenever I open my ROM nothing has changed. I know I'm editing the right ROM, and that I'm saving it because whenever I open Nightmare and the modules, the settings I changed are saved there. I don't really know why none of my changes are going into the game (changing portraits, base states, ect.). If anyone knows how I could fix it, that would be great.

  23. FE4 : Real Survival Mode

    This is a small hack for the old game Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War. You can apply the patch FE4 Real Survival Mode.ips to a clean FE4 rom with header. In this hack, all of the units/characters/enemies only have 1 HP, whoever gets hit first will die. Ambush always actives, so Arden/Lex/Johan/Hannibal will have a chance to kill their enemies beforehand. Casual Mode added, unit dies in previous chapter can still fight in the next chapter, except for Sigurd/Celice/Cuan/Ethlyn/Fin. FE4 Real Survival Mode.zip
  24. I've been wanting to do a hack of Fire Emblem GBA to follow the storyline and characters of Sword Art Online, which is one om my favorite animes. But I, sadly, have no skill (yet) in rom hacking whatsoever. So it would be much appreciated if anyone could help me get this under way.
  25. Here's the first hack which I'm currently working on. For simplicity, I decided to start with a difficulty hack to improve the gameplay of FE8. The aim of the hack is to ramp up Sacred Stone's difficulty via map design changes and enemy weapon/stat upgrades. In particular: -Enemy weapons scale very quickly -Enemies have high offensive stats -Weapon hit rates in general have been greatly improved (Hard mode enemies also get bonus +15 Hit) -Enemy AI/placement changes to prevent bait and kill tactics in some maps -Anti-turtling added to some maps in the form of thieves w/ chests/villages and reinforcement spawning (no ambush) -Player units also have their bases and growth rates buffed (except for Seth, who got a nerf to his bases but a buff to his growths nonetheless) -Better weapons are made available to the players a lot earlier via shop updates -All promotion item drops have been replaced with Master Seals -More stat boosters are dropped, obtained in the early game Hard mode is recommended. Though there do exist some differences between Normal and Hard (i.e. reinforcement timings and additional enemies on Hard), Normal is not properly balanced right now since some chapters are the same as Hard while others, especially the first few chapters, are a lot easier (also Normal was not tested).
