  1. I made an orchestral arrangement of Reminiscence from FE7 and wanted to share it with you all. I plan on doing a few more songs from FE7, so if you have any requests let me know!
  2. Fueled by hype, I created an arrangement of the awesome music from the trailer and would like to share it with you all. I intended for it to be as true to the original as possible, and I hope you agree. Please enjoy!
  3. Help make my completed romhack pretty!

Hello all, A week and a half ago I released a completed 19-chapter romhack called "Heaven's Bloom." However, there are many things on the artistic side of the project which are somewhat beyond the scope of my talent, so I've come here in search of volunteers to help with a few aspects of this. 1. Mugs I've made mugs for all* the playable characters and major NPCs, but they're fairly sloppy splices of other FE assets, and they aren't 'clean' by any means. Additionally, minor bosses currently just have re-used FE8 mugs, and *two of the playable characters (Hands and Derruk) currently use un-used mugs from base FE8. I would ideally want all of these mugs to be re-done, while keeping things like hair / armour colour intact. 2. Maps For the prologue and chapters 1-9, I was working with someone who was really good at making maps look aesthetically pleasing. However, he got burnt out for the project, so the rest of the maps were done by me, and I'm much less talented in this regard; there's a noticeable drop in the visual quality of the maps after chapter 9. For this, I would want someone who can touch up these maps in the colour / shading department while retaining the current layout & terrain 3. Music This is probably the least urgent of my goals. I've written original music for much of the game, but sort of got burnt out and didn't end up doing everything - all the map & battle themes are done, but most of the cutscenes still have FE8 music. I know this is a spriter's forum so it's a long shot, but if anybody is good at composition and wants to send me MIDI files that thematically fit with the music I've written, I would not be opposed in the slightest. Anyone who's played the hack probably also knows that the battle palettes are also a bit of a mess, but somebody has already volunteered to take care of this, and they're doing a really good job so far. I'll be very grateful for any & all help with these aspects of the project! You'll be included in the special thanks section of the main thread & eventually the in-game credits screen. Just send me a PM so that I can make sure you're not working on the same asset as someone else. With that said, hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start
  4. and it's AWESOME! Any of ya listened to it already? What you all think about it? I know there might be some controversy about it, since it's really different from "The Bones of What You Believe", but I find the new ones at least as good as the olds. Any favourites already? Miracle and Deliverance are really-really great, though honestly, I think I can't yet choose one that's so much better than the others. I will have to listen to all of them a few dozen times for that :D

Post any cool songs you've listened to recently, or share an all time favorite. If you really want to, go ahead and share any music that you've made yourself.
  7. People Needed for a Fan Game

Hey anyone who's willing to help me, I have plans for a new Fire Emblem Fan Project, I currently have writers covered but anymore would be helpful, also for map design so all I need is sprite makers, portrait makers and code writers but if you can help in any way it would be greatly appricated. If your interested then private message me or comment interest/people who could help and I'll put in the effort A huge thanks to anyone willing to help and those already helping :)
  8. Favorite Song?

So, what songs do you guys and gals like the most? It doesn't matter where it comes from, it could be from a video game, a music artist, a band, whatever. Leave a link to the song if you'd like. Personally, I enjoy Hypnotized by Fleetwood Mac. Here's a link to it:
  9. Favorite Preparation theme?

Bit of a random question, but see title. For me, it's Conquest's: Resolve (Dark). I quite like the transition into the Flute segment. Links: Enemy Phase (Dark Dragon and the Blade of Light) Rebellion (Mystery of the Emblem) Sally (Thracia 776) Prepare to Charge (The Binding Blade) Prepare to Charge (The Blazing Blade) Combat Preparation (The Sacred Stones) Raising Morale (Path of Radiance) Backsliding (Radiant Dawn) Pray for Victory (Radiant Dawn Endgame) Preparations (Shadow Dragon) Before Battle (New Mystery of the Emblem) "We'd best prepare for combat, just to be safe" (Awakening) "Fate won't change, after all." (Awakening) Resolve (Light) (Fates: Birthright) Resolve (Dark) (Fates: Conquest) Those Who Visit (Fates: Revelation) Preparations: Deliverance (Shadows of Valentia Alm Side) Preparations: Pilgrimage (Shadows of Valentia Celica Side) Preparations: Reunion (Shaows of Valentia Endgame) I don't think FE2 and 4 have true prep themes, but if they do correct me and link them.
  10. I was wondering how musicians and creators of Fire emblem hacks and GBA hacks in general found and used GBA instruments in the musical compositions. I have been writing music using the electric piano at my house, and am confident in my musical ability, but I do not know how to write it using GBA instruments. I am not asking anyone to write music for me, but I would appreciate it if somebody helped explain the basics of writing music for a FE hack, and would appreciate it if they helped me figure out how to import it into a game as well.
  11. I don't know about you, but in my opinion by far one of the best things about a Fire Emblem game is its soundtrack. But which game has the best one? That's the question will be answered with this thread! Personally, its incredibly hard for me to choose as I love just about all of them. If I had to choose one however, I would have to go with New Mystery. Honestly I am not entirely sure why I love this game's soundtrack as much as I do. There's just something about it that is just exhilarating to listen to. My favorite track from the game itself has to be either "Friend" or "Tearing Shadows".
  12. I'm planning on hosting a dance panel at Metrocon (Tampa FL). I have a lot of music already, but some of these songs loop and the actual part that I can use is between 30 seconds and 1 minute. Also I can't use every song that comes my way since music for games isn't always something that can be used for dance. I want to try to use a song from every Fire Emblem, so if anyone knows of songs that I can use that are between 2 and 5 minutes with no looping and not from Blazing Sword, Awakening, Fates, or Echoes (I already have songs from those games I can use) I'd really appreciate the extra ears looking for this.
  13. Rate the Country Music above!

I had this idea come up and we will rate courtry music from the above I'll start.
  14. We all have songs we love that are from before out time. Show me what you got ya musical hipsters, I'll start with a reeeeeeally old one.
  15. Help Needed

Calling all spriters & sound designers! There have recently been a chain of supposed leaks about the upcoming 16th Fire Emblem game (Found here: ) The legitimacy of these leaks are questionable at best, so I thought it could become a fangame, I however, am not particularly good at spriting, and I know nothing about sound design. So I require help in those departments. The game will be developed on FEXP.
  16. I made a remix to the OST version of Dance in the Sky (aka Silesia music). It always bothered me they omitted the sleigh bells. dancing in the sky.mp3
  17. Putting Midis into FE8 Rom

Alright. I've just ripped some FE11 and FE12 Midis and .sf2's directly from the game. What are some steps I need to take to put them into Sacred Stones? (I hope this isn't too vague) I have the Sappy program, and HxD, and have applied the 12 instrument patch, but I could use some tips from here on out.
  18. Here's something that everyone will love. Dataminers have gifted us the map themes from the special warriors maps that will feature in Heroes later this month. Prelude - Awakening Duty - Awakening No Justice - Fates Road Taken - Fates Justice RIP - Fates
  19. How to change music?

Does anyone know how to change what song plays during what scene? Like for example, the main theme was playing during a conversation and I wanted to replace it with another existing song in the game's soundtrack, how would I go about doing that?
  20. Rate the Above Piece of Classical Music

Here's an idea! Since we've already got a FE music rating thread, and a general video game music rating thread, let's branch out into something else, like, I don't know, classical music! We'll use the same rules as the other two rating threads, with an addition: make sure to specify the name of the composer. Thanks to the creators of the first two threads for giving me the idea. First piece: Edvard Grieg - Peer Gynt Suite: In the Hall of the Mountain King
  21. How to insert custom music

So I've been trying for a while now, but I still can't for the life of me figure out how to insert custom music into the game. Every tutorial I seem to find is either full of broken images, videos and tags making them really hard to follow or they're just very confusing in general. So, can someone point me to the easiest method of inserting music into the game?
  22. Change "Victory Road" music

The title says it all. Is there an easy way to change which song in the soundtrack plays when the requirements for "Victory Road" to play are met?
  23. Fire Emblem OST Mashup Project

I started a project not too long ago that I thought people would be interested in. I've mashed together all of the old and new versions of the Gaiden soundtrack and I plan going through the rest of the series' music to create as many mashups as possible. Here is the final map theme: And the rest of the playlist if you are interested:
  24. Nintendo games likely hold a special place in our hearts. And one thing i've always liked about Nintendo games, is that they can have really good music. So my question to you is, which Nintendo series do you think has the best music? I know it's probably hard to choose, because there's so many good options. Of course, given the context of this question, for many of us "best" may also end up meaning "favorite". For me, the Xenoblade Chronicles series has the best music out of any Nintendo series, and i say this as someone who likes Fire Emblem a bit more than Xenoblade Chronicles. The songs do an amazing job at capturing the feel of the environment, emotions, basically anything. Xenoblade music is so good! And while X doesn't have as amazing of a soundtrack as the original, there are a decent amount of songs in Xenoblade Chronicles X that are really, really good! And after hearing the four music tracks on the official Japanese website of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, i'm fully convinced that Xenoblade Chronicles, as a series, will never be topped when it comes to music. While Xenoblade Chronicles has the best music in my opinion, honorable mentions need to go to Fire Emblem, Kirby, The Legend of Zelda, and Kid Icarus (Uprising specifically) and Super Smash Bros but that doesn't count.
  25. Rate the FE Music Above You

I thought this would be a fun thing to do. So basically you rate the Fire Emblem music posted above you from whatever scale you want, preferably 1-10, and then you post your favorite original music from any of the Fire Emblem games. Avoid posting excessively long videos or loops unless its the only way to post the song. Of course I will post first: Fire Emblem Awakening - Destiny (Ablaze)
