Myrrh, Spooky Monster Following right on Tiki's heels, the second trainee dragon armor to be released doesn't disappoint in performance or d'aw levels of adorable. Like Tiki, Myrrh has the same disadvantages from being a melee armor and a dragon on top of that, but unlike Tiki, Myrrh's stat distribution sacrificed her Spd stat to gain higher values in all four of her other stats. But it doesn't stop there. Myrrh's exclusive weapon skill, Spirit Breath, is the player-phase analogue to her uncostumed version's Great Flame. Instead of blocking enemy follow-ups based on a Def check, it grants Myrrh follow-ups of her own when initiating based on a Def check. Just like her normal version, this allows her to ignore her low Spd stat altogether and let her Def stat do double duty, boosting both her follow-up potential and her bulk. With a massive 40 base neutral Def and an additional 3 Def bonus from Spirit Breath, Myrrh has an effective Spd stat comparable to the fastest sword users on player phase, but retains her ability to take enemy follow-up attacks on enemy phase to charge up stronger Special skills. Myrrh: Great Dragon Arguably the cutest Manakete yet to arrive in the world of Heroes proves also to be debatably the strongest, not only breaking ground as an unprecedented Dragon-Flier hybrid, but also possessing a fantastically well-built stat spread as well as a legendary breath weapon that capitalizes on her strengths and even serves to cover her sole weakness of low Speed by making her Defense a prerequisite threshold to double her-- doubling her is very difficult to do, and as a result of her beefy defenses as well as a stellar attack, she is very difficult to kill in a single round without being killed in reply, with high-defense red units and dragon-slaying weapons like Falchion and Naga being the main tools to do so. There's no need for her to do everything herself, of course, and with teammates to handle these threats, Myrrh stands ready to knock'em dead in spite of the revival and newfound powers of the various Falchions. Even so, the dignified little dragon firmly establishes herself as a threat to be reckoned with, dragon-slaying swords or no. At what she's built to do, she's undeniably a monster. Distant Defense can provide some additional assistance for the DC build or even for a melee build that wants to be able to tank Rein and other blue mages better, though it's generally not as useful as any of the alternatives she can pack in either her A-slot or her Seal slot. Fierce Stance is an option for the Heavy Blade build and pairs great with Vantage, but not only is it rarer than Atk/Def Bond3 (since the latter is a F2P skill), it provides only a minimal increase to Atk at the cost of 5 Defense, which helps her doubling threshold out a lot against neutral and WTA-weak attackers. Guidance is an excellent skill for Dragon Emblem teams if her Seal slot can be spared for it.
I'm already playing through SS, but there are some units that I'm not sure how good they are. I'm sure they're good but..how good are they? I heard Franz is top 5 units in the game, as well as Vanessa and Tana being some of the most useful. I also heard Saleh and Duessel are really good pre-promotes. I also think Myrrh's like a Late Seth, who can essentially kill any monster almost as soon as you get her. But I heard she's not as good as the some of the other units I mentioned. I wanna know how good these units are. Thoughts?
