  1. This is a thread where you can ask the thread's OFFICIAL SPRITE ASSMBLERS^tm to make assemble one of the game's sprites in a pose or something for whatever you want to use it for! Note also, we can do recolors as well if desired (only palette swaps though, other stuff tends to get pretty complicated). OFFICIAL SPRITE ASSEMBLERS^tm on hand: @NekoKnight - armor enthusiast @BANRYU - on a beach somewhere with his dragon waifu @Vaximillian - SF's biggest Sharena fan @Kon - your best friend @Luchi - painterly editor @Apples - fruit wizard @Xaos Steel Wing - MY WINGS ARE MADE OF STEEL @Luna of Dragonblood - Dragon lady, no relation to Banryu. @GenericHero - most handsome generic @TheDragonBecomesMe - in Soviet Serenes, a dragon becomes YOU! @Lord_Grima - Dark Dragon @LordConqueror - King of Conquerors Please post and @ me if you would like to volunteer to also be a sprite assembler. When requesting, please stick to the following rules: One request at a time. Chances are multiple people are going to want requests at the same time and they take kiiind of a while to make so let's stick it to one request per person until completed. Requests are handled in the order they're received, so I think this is a pretty fair way of handling it as it relates to other requesters. Assets to be used must be specified for custom units (IE, new/fan characters, preexisting characters in a class other than their own, etc). These are quite time-consuming to create and choosing the assets is a big part of that, so unless the requester can name specific assets to be used Providing specific image references (custom sprite sheets make things the easiest but the list of specific assets will also do) is a big help with this but if you're clear enough it isn't always necessary. (all the assets to choose from can be found here: https://mega.nz/#F!UhkijJoZ!sG_zji8G-L7AiXOZBeAgHA!thFVVaZJ) we're willing to offer suggestions in some situations, but reserve the right not to, or to decline if not otherwise specified etc. etc. Example of a good, clear, simple request VS one that we will not accept without further detail. (in the latter case, we can suggest parts to be used, but in the end you must specify the full list of parts to be used for your request to be considered valid) we reserve the right to draw the line at excessively complicated frankensteins-- components from 10+ different sprites, cutting apart preexisting sprites for specific bits, etc. is stuff that we will probably not do. Be specific about what you want. Pose, weapon used (if any), background (if desired) and any other such details should be provided with the request, otherwise you are leaving it up to our interpretation. If not enough detail is provided, we reserve the right to pass on a request. References are very helpful, but keep in mind that these are also chibis with somewhat-limited proportions haha. Still images or screenshots of the desired pose make for the best references. We reserve the right to decline elaborate scenes with multiple characters depending on the level of complexity, mostly due to the time they take to assemble. (One workaround for this could be requesting the individual sprites one at a time, then request for them to be arranged together once completed.) Please note that all character assemblies of preexisting characters (not OCs, in other words) are considered public resources for anyone to use, so even if you didn't request one, you are still free to use it (as always, credit is appreciated ofc, though not strictly needed). Thanks for understanding. Want to try your own hand at spriting? Get the sprites here and check out @GenericHero's tutorial here and here! But wait! How the heck do all the pieces fit together!? 2. TheMightyJacobo's Sprites Or Something

Here it is... It uses Gilliams body, Tirado's head, I could not find the name of the hair for the life of me, but it was part of the fe8 mug spritesheet, Garcia's hair color, and the red from Amelia's armor. He's a knight dude. Please critique this! (I'm going away on he 26th, so that's why I won't be able to post)
  3. Paladin's (new) Sprite Gallery

Edited this one a bit. Hope she looks better. Two New Sprites of mine. (Personal on the left, gift for my brother on the right.)
  4. FE5 Map Sprites

This is a crosspost from FEU. While working on my FE5 project I had figured it'd be nice to rip the map sprites, because I can't find a unified sheet of them anywhere. Although the data is ripped using the class data table, there might be errors. If anything's odd about these, let me know. FE5 Map Sprites Here's an example: Each class gets its own sheet. Some sheets have some strange things going on, such as: Some mage classes have incorrect sprites, probably due to the correct sprites being set in character data Some mage classes have other mages in their battle sprites The High Priest and Priest have some strange things going on There's that weird Baron class More stuff, probably Unused sprites and stuff may be added later, but any sprites that aren't referenced are not included yet.
  5. A bunch of old mugs. Pretty basic splicing. Matthew base is waaay too obvious on these. Would probably change the face if I ever felt like redoing them which I don't. The chin is very off. I don't quite know how I would fix those. Eh, decent. Plain. Boring. Orson hair curl. These are alright, if basic.
  6. Fates Custom battle animations

I've always loved the GBA battle animations, and I recently got into making my own. This is my attempt at making Fates' Royal families, Someones probably done this better before but I thought I'd take a crack at it. I've completed the 4 Nohrian siblings and almost all of the Hoshidians except for Ryoma due to his weird faceplate. First I did Everyone's favorite cinnamon roll; Elise! Heal Animation: I had some trouble with the hair at first simply because of how bizarre her pigtails are, I ended up using a modified version of Rebecca. Next on the list was; Leo Basic Anima Attack: Anima Crit: I'm thinking about trying to make a sword animation for him, I definitely want to give him a special Brynhildr animation. The Most difficult thing about making Leo was that I couldn't find Male battle animations only sheets, so I just took Selena's battle animations and copy/pasted Ewan's hair onto her Skipping a sibling I actually did Xander next, due to Camilla's... unique character design. Basic Sword Attack: Sword Crit: It was fun to make a paladin without a helmet, it always seemed weird to me that Seth has a helmet when fighting but not in his portrait. I'd also like to come back to Xander to give him a fancy ranged attack when using Siegfried. Next we have Camilla: Basic Lance attack: Lance Crit: Sorry if anyones disappointed by a serious lack of something (she's not using an axe.) But i'm still learning and I don't think a more accurate design is something I can do, I took the face and hair of a pegasus night and changed it up a bit to fit a Wyvern lord. Moving on to the Hoshidians My first is; Hinoka: Basic lance attack: Lance Crit: Hinoka was a fairly easy color swap. Sakura: She was probably the quickest and easiest. And last one (for now) Takumi: With Takumi I decided to have separate animations for when he has his Yumi equipped vs other bows Regular Bow Attack: Bow Crit: The hardest part with Takumi was his pineapple hair I ended up using his actual map sprite from fates to give me a better idea. Fujin Yumi Attack: Fujin Yumi Crit: When he's using the Fujin Yumi I changed it so his bow is gold, the bowstring only appears when he's firing and has a cool "disintegrate" affect to it. In his crit the symbol is meant to be the Japanese word for storm, which is part of the names of the Japanese gods takumi and ryoma are based off of (Fujin of wind, and Raijin of thunder/lightning) I'm unsure if it really fits though, I'm considering making similar ones for the other princes, any ideas for those would be great! Any constructive critisism would be super awesome as i'm pretty new to animating as well as this forum so if you have any tips send them my way. I'm gonna go do more animating Thanks for reading all this stuffXD These animations were modified using a free internet software I found called piskelapp you don't have to download anything except whatever animations your changing. If you want to use these for something feel free! Please Credit me if possible (and send me a link please!)
  7. The Static Sprites of a Fool

I crave attention and validation. Welcome to the alter of my obsession. Stills (yet to be animated or sheeted) Mugs (not my bread and butter) GIF animations (I love this stuff) Thanks for... Looking I guess.
  8. My Second Batch Of Sprites

So I took the feedback from my last post and took the time to make a second group of sprites Sprite 1 Sprite 2 Sprite 3 Sprite 4 All feedback is good feedback, thanks in advance.
  9. FERecolor Template Tutorial

Listen up, scrubs! This is a tutorial for making palette templates for FERecolor, that is to say, for making palettes for classes that don't come packaged with FERecolor (e.g. monsters), or any custom, fan-made class. Though I find this to be mostly self-intuitive, I'd understand if someone finds it difficult, as there is no tutorial on this anyway. What you'll need for this other than FERecolor is Usenti and Paint. And if you need rip the animations from the games, you will need Feditor Adv Render Edition. Step 1: The Sheet. First thing you need to do is get your sheet. Let's take for example the zombie. Gather a few frames of your desired animation on a new file in paint and then save it in the "battle_sprites" folder in FERecolor. Keep in mind that having more than 1 sprite is not absolutely necessary, but it's nice. Step 2: FERecolor. Now you are ready to open it in FERecolor, so well... Open it in FERecolor. So now you can edit the colours by changing the number on the RGB scale. So we're ready now, right? Not quite yet. See all those numbers on the far right hand side, each accompanied by a "Reset" button? That's the colour's index. What's that, you say? Well, editing the colours is not enough because each colour has to be at the right index, in other words, it has to be in the right position, otherwise you'll get a messed up palette when you insert it. To find out how to learn each colour's correct index, join me in Step 3. Step 3: Making the Palette Index. So now, open up the Feditor-processed sheet in Usenti (Not Paint, Usenti) and look at the palette. Let's have a closer look. The game has this system where it reads the palette from right to left, (kind of like how Arabic reads). There, I conveniently numbered them for you! And so now, all you have to do is number the colours in FERecolor. And boom! That's it. You're good to go. Now, in order to insert the palette itself, press that "Copy hex to clipboard" button and check out this tutorial. Now on a side note, while in the middle of making this tutorial, I was informed by my friend and fellow palette scholar Teraspark from FEUniverse that there is an alternate, simpler way to do this, which some of you might find easier, so I decided to keep both methods just in case. Alternate method: Step 1: Take your sheet and open it in either paint or usenti, and make sure it has the palette inside it. Step 2: Now take the palette and flip it horizontally so that the black is looking to the right. Then, take the 2nd row and place it to the right of the first row. It should look like this: Just make sure that the palette is parallel both horizontally and vertically to any other pixel, like in the image below: Step 3: Now just open it in FERecolor and the program will automatically sense the correct palette index! Isn't that convenient. And it works equally well, too! Admittedly this is the first tutorial I've ever done, so some feedback is appreciated, and I hope this was helpful. Happy hacking! ; ]
  10. So, I'm wondering how to go about defining which battle and map sprites are associated with a given class. I'm trying to add in a female Knight to the Sum Patch to go along with female Generals, going into the "female Dismounted Knight" class slot. I've copied all the information over from the male Knight class (save for Class ID), and even set it to promote into the female General. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea how to go about setting which sprites the class uses, on the map or in battle. It appears to use the female General sprite in battle—at least, that's what shows up in the battle sprite box when the class is highlighted to be reclassed into—but it has no defined map sprite, and the game crashes when you try to back out into the main reclass menu after changing a character into it. Ideally, I would just set it to call the exact same files the male Knight uses for its battle and map sprites, but I don't know how to actually do that, or even if it's possible. I know Arch ported the female Cavalier and General classes back into Shadow Dragon, graphics and all, but I don't know what process he used to get the graphic importation and association working. If anyone knows how to do this, I'd greatly appreciate your wisdom! …As an addendum, does anybody know if Soldiers in Shadow Dragon are flagged as being able to reach level 30, like other single-tier classes? I can't seem to find any conclusive answer to that.
  11. Melliel's Sprite Dump

This thread is for all of the sprites I will make. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some criticism on them. I currently only have a portrait to show off, aside from my avatar, unfortunately. I would have more, but this one took me about a week for me to make this, and I'm anxious to see what people think of it. I will add more sprites to the thread later. I'm sure that even though I think it looks beautiful, many more professional artists could easily pick out its flaws.
  12. Mecha's Sprite Hub

Hey guys :) it has been a long (emphasis on the long) time since I've done any spriting in the FE Style, so here I am posting all the content I'm making and I would love to see the feedback. Izuku Midoriya (Alias: Deku | Class: Fighter) Naruto Uzumaki (Class: Jonin (Similar to a Mercenary) > Class: Hokage (Similar to a Hero/Promoted Lord) Next: Sasuke Uchiha (Class: Rogue (Similar to a Myrmidon) > Class: Wanderer (Similar to a Swordmaster/Promoted Lord)
  13. So I recently made these sprites and I just wanted some feedback on them to see how good or not so good they are. Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Thanks all feedback is appreciated.
  14. So, I've made my second custom gba mugshot, but I don't really like the way the armor looks. Anyone got any tips? Feel free to express your opinion, I'll only hate you slightly.
  15. Golgotha of the hills sprite(s)

I always loved the battle sprites in the old GBA FE so I thought I'd try making my own, I haven't made any "new" ones yet but for my first; Edit: I think I screwed up with the links is it making you guys download them? cause thats not supposed to happen (sorry new to this forum) I started with modifying the female sage basic battle animation to remove the cape: FE Female Sage animation without a cape.-20170807-142956.piskel And then I did my best to make it look like princess zelda from legend of zelda, FE Female Sage Princess Zelda-20170807-142640.piskel I'm sure someone has done this before but I thought i'd try it. Any constructive criticism would be awesome! Thanks!
  16. The Royal Sprite Topic of Myself

FOR THOSE OF YOU STOPPING BY FROM THE FUTURE TO TAKE A GANDER: Some of the images in the first few pages, back when I still used Imageshack for uploading, are now broken. HOWEVER, FRET NOT! If you wish to view them, right-click on the image, click "Inspect Element", then right-click on the image link that pops up on the right and click "Open in New Tab." As far as I have tested, this allows you to view the image. If it doesn't work, then you're outta luck, I suppose. *Shrug* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seeing as how my old sprite topic is deader than a doornail, I feel like starting over, so to speak, with a clean slate. This time around, though, I'll be posting less exclusively FE sprites and more other styles of sprites. Anyway, sprites, in no particular order: Part of a series of sprites in a custom style where I sprite 100 of my favorite characters from my favorites games and franchises, with the stipulation of one character per game. Let's see if I can actually do it. A few FE-battle-styled sprites that I've made some time in the past year or so. A few Nintendo characters in ML3 style. The result of boredom and random scribbles in Paint. Another boredom piece from a while back. Also an experiment with limited colors on the mushroom; the grassy knoll came later. A custom style inspired by 8-bit graphics, though itself isn't. And a few maps: That should be enough for now. Comments and criticisms are always welcome.
  17. First time splicing, recolouring, and generally messing about. First attempt below. I'm sure this post'll be edited as I come out with more stuff. Any critiques are appreciated!
  18. I've been toying around with randomly reclassing FE8 characters, and I decided to try my hand at splicing some more appropriate portraits for them. I'm quite new to it, so the splices aren't entirely detailed, this first post is mainly looking for insight about my stitch work. Lord Colm and his knight Niemi. Merc Garcia and Theif Ross. Fighter, Cavalier, Myrmidon, and Monk in their respective, miscellaneous orders. Thanks.
  19. Hey everybody, here's just a dump of the completed portraits for my (currently unmade) hack, Fire Emblem: Conquest of the Five Kingdoms. If you have any questions or comments on a specific sprite, just let me know!
  20. Assembling Heroes Sprites!

I absolutely adore the sprites in Heroes, so I'm going to try assembling a few of the sprites for some of my favorite characters. Here's some that I've done so far: Azura(battle pose): Abel(idle): Catria(idle): And then there's this random thing I made as part of a walkthrough I'm doing. Will probably be adding more in the future because these are pretty fun to make. Feel free to use, just give credit if you do, as these do take quite a bit of time to put together. Thanks! Also, if anyone has the sprite sheet for Spring Xander or knows where to get one please let me know, I can't find him anywhere
  21. Zelkami's gallery-thingy

Going to be making this a more dedicated thread where I can post progress and such. Still very much open to critique. [spoiler=Old Topic]I'm rather new to this whole spriting thing, so forgive me if I've made any rookie mistakes. These are a handful of the character mugs I've been working on. To be clear, I'm looking for ways to make the mugs look cleaner, things like coloring and shading, etc. Please let me know if there's a format more convenient to critique I can upload in. EDIT: Two more I think could use some work Just a couple of things to note, I realize the outline color of the Cavalier isn't consistent with the others. I will adjust it when I go back to make changes. I also don't care about the 15 color limit, as I intend to use these portraits in FEXNA when it's finished. [spoiler=10/17/16 Update]
  22. Sacred Stones PME

Basically, I need someone proficient in sprite work to make me some portraits and talking animations for said portraits for my Sacred Stones pick my edits, If you are proficient please respond and I'll tell you what I need

  24. Need help recreating an Ike sprite

Hello! I'm new to the forums here, so if I mess up anything or do something wrong, please let me know. Anyways, I need help recreating this sprite: (This was the best quality I could get btw) It was made by Oracle_of_Fire on another forum, but the original has been deleted unfortunately. The video I found it in can be found here. I would be EXTREMELY grateful if you could recreate the talking and blinking sprites also. Thanks in advance.
