  1. PS4 or Switch?

Since the E3 presentation yesterday I'm not certain which console to buy Next (won't happen before winter anyways). I was certain to buy a PS4 because of Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, but since I heared that it would come out for Switch too, and FE is also a thing, I'm really thinking right now. The main question for me is: Which console has more / better JRPGs? I don't care for any Mario games or other platformers, just for (round based) strategy games and JRPGs.
  2. Fire Emblem The Blazing Blade added explosives, Fire Emblem Fates added Tanks, and 50 shades of Valentia added elephant tanks from the Halo series, as well as lasers, so should Fire Emblem Switch go a step further and add firearms into the Fire Emblem series? Or better yet, robots and flying fortress's?
  3. What if in Fire Emblem Switch, if you attack a regular enemy/miniboss, it plays out like your standard Fire Emblem battles, but when you attack a boss, it plays out like a turn based JRPG similar to Final Fantasy?
  4. Since everyone is making these lists after Fire Emblem Switch is taking FOREVER to even have a trailer, I guess I'll have a go at it. 1. More fanservice, I'm not talking about fates style fanservice, I'm talking about full on High School DxD/Dororon Enma Kun remake style fanservice 2. New classes such as: - Gladiator - Gunner - Playboy Bunny - Terror Knight And more 3. We need a silent protagonist 4. Infernal mode, and permanent removal of Phoenix Mode And the most important thing: 5. 4th tier promotions!
  5. Announced earlier today but I couldn't find a thread around here Press release taken from Gematsu: First look at the Western version, has minor spoilers from the beginning of the game: About the Switch and 3DS versions:
  6. I had this idea whilst revisiting my old Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 game. In the game, there's a (now offline I believe) 'scenario building feature' that basically lets the player create scenarios to put on the Dissidia 012 network for others to download and play. These scenarios consisted of a series of fan created conversations between characters, with battles following usually after. The creator set the rules and limitations for these battles. I was thinking about it, and I would really love a feature similar to this for FE Switch or any subsequent titles. In regards to supports, It would certainly be would be fun for character building even if it would be non-canon, and I've seen Youtube videos of people making their own supports that are significantly more in depth and interesting than what's been pumped out lately. And in regards to battles, it'd be fun to see what interesting maps players could come up with. (though Im not sure how enemy units would work? Maybe a simplified version of user macros to set the actions of them, kinda like FF12?) What do you guys think? For or against? And if for, what other features would you be interested in seeing in a mode like this?
  7. Maybe for the 1 year anniversary, Nintendo could hopefully announce a lot of hyped games like Fire Emblem Switch and hopefully cancel that one Fire Emblem ripoff that's apparently a 3D platformer!
  8. Since the Switch's release last year, a number of games have been announced and/or released for the Switch; many of which have been ports, remakes, or remastered versions of previous games, including a Skyrim port, Dark Souls Remastered, Ys VIII, etc. What games do you want to see become available for the Switch; either as a port, remake, or remastered version? What changes, if any, do you want to see made to said game? (My list is in the spoiler below) (Also, if someone could please suggest a shorter title for this thread)
  9. https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/948901835284283393 So yeah, an impressive feat for Nintendo and the Switch. That's breaking the previous record that the Wii held I believe.
  10. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 releases tomorrow but there's a piece of info Xenoblade fans may be interested in hearing. Tetsuya Takahashi, the president of Monolith Soft, stated that he would like to see Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch. https://gonintendo.com/stories/296698-monolith-soft-president-would-love-to-see-xenoblade-chronicles-x Would you buy Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch? I would. I never got to play it on the Wii U, after all.
  11. Thinking about finally buying a Switch for Christmas, but if I can't find any good deals, I'm just going to wait for FE Switch to come out next year. Do you think we'll get a special edition bundle like with Super Mario Odyssey or Splatoon 2? What do you think it'll look like? I wonder if they have one, if it'll even be possible for most people to get one/if it's worth waiting for. Plus, when do you think we'll get any new information on the game? I'm hoping for a spring release next year like the last two games on 3DS in NA, but they've been pretty silent about it, so I don't know if that's wishful thinking. And then you always have to consider if Japan will get it way in advance before the US.
  12. The game has been out in Japan for a month and in NA for a week, and the only languages available on the JP cartridge is Japanese and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Why is English not an available option? Other games with international releases have all languages available and even automatically translate to the language of your native system. Why not Warriors? The game itself isn't even viewable on the eShop if you try to look at the software through the JP cartridge. While Nintendo may say that region-locking isn't a thing, in a way, they haven't changed at all. Does anyone have any insight or knowledge as to why this is or if this will be addressed any time soon?
  13. What could Fire Emblem Switch learn from past games in the series. There's a lot of discussion to be had here, whether it be the inclusion of Voice Acting like in Echoes or having Dragon Vein styled mechanics like in Fates. There's a lot to be said of what this new game will take from what it's learned over it's 15 game lifespan. If anything at all, what would you like to see return? I wouldn't mind seeing the return of FoW maps maybe with a dragon vein style mechanic to help disperse the for in certain hidden away areas, for example.
  14. Nintendo Switch Restocks?

Anyone hear about any Nintendo Switch Restocks anywhere? I can't find them in retail anywhere the sections are just barren. I fully expected that in March, April, even May for the console but I guess demand is just that high. Has there been anything from Nintendo or retailers anywhere saying anything about the supply or restocking of them? Hopefully, by the holidays theres some out there. Feel free to share any information in the thread I'll keep up as best as I can to add it to this post for people. Update: Likely Restock at US Target retailers week of 11 June Nintendo battles with Apple for Switch Parts (thanks DodgeDusk)
  15. As the title suggests, I'm wondering what are the chances of 8-4 doing localization for the new Fire Emblem on the Switch. I loved their work with Awakening and from what I've seen of SoV, that as well. I must say I wasn't too pleased with Treehouse's quality of English voice acting and overall localization of Fates (not whining about censorship by the way, couldn't really care much about that). I'd love to see 8-4 return once again now that full voice acting is the case with Shadows of Valentia. What are your thoughts?
  16. What kind of multiplayer features are you guys looking forward to? I really want some sort of co-op or duel type systems in place. I feel like co-op always could of been something interesting and help broaden the game to new heights. It wouldn't be too hard to implement either.
  17. So I dont know if you've seen the article or videos about the rts fire emblem planned after radiant dawn. But I thought what if this new game implents or becomes, something akin to what that game was originally going to be. Would you like that type of game, as a sequel to rd, or even part of the fire emblem franchise at all?
  18. I went back to look at the direct trying to figure out if the predicted 2018 release date was for Japan only or would be worldwide (or at least include NA). It didn't specify and I've just been assuming all this time we would be getting it then too. Not sure why I did because NA tends to get the games after Japan. Does anyone know if this has been confirmed as a WW or Japan only release?
  19. So I've been wanting to make some YouTube videos for a while now, and while I could do PC gaming since I have that setup going for me. I want to be able to do some Console videos as well, specifically Wii U, and later on Nintendo Switch videos. Right now I have some Smash 4 videos in mind, and I'd like to have a capture card to record it in good quality. While I would use the replay system to do acquire footage, I would imagine it would be easier to be able to record it. And Smash 4 Wii U's replay system of uploading to YouTube it only uploads the video at 720p 30fps. Which while it's not terrible, it still takes a long time to do with that method. And I personally believe a fighting game like smash 4 should be shown in 60 fps. I've done a bit of research and apparently the Elgato Game Capture card is popular, so I have my eye on buying one. However I've found 3 different versions of it so i'm confused on which one I should buy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/elgato-game-capture-hd60-s-black/5187800.p?skuId=5187800 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/elgato-game-capture-hd60-multi/7634008.p?skuId=7634008 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/elgato-game-capture-hd/8838042.p?skuId=8838042 Anyone happen to know which capture card out of these would be the best? Quality wise and Money wise.
  20. Gameplay desires?

What gameplay features or mechanics should this game implement? What are some features from other games that you would like to see return or not return? What new stuff should be implemented?
  21. Clearly one of the reason why Awakening is so popular is because there are a lot of fan favored characters. But among these characters one particular stand out, of course I am talking about Lucina. Seeing the success of Lucina, they tried again with Azura in Fates. This time they pushed for her more. While she is a popular character she is nowhere near the juggernaut that is Lucina. If they wanna do it again, what could IS done for the people that disliked Lucina to like the Switch FE's "Lucina"? Or do you dislike IS for having bias for these characters and pushing these characters down to you? Edit: I should clarified, what I meant to create another "Lucina" is: 1- Created to be universal appealing 2- Prominent in the story/Leading character status 3- Pushed by IS
  22. Texas based VAs?

Due to how Nintendo has been adding English voice acting in recent Fire Emblem titles, I'm wondering, how would you guys react if Nintendo decided to use Texas based talent for the voice acting in this game?
