  1. What if a "Deluxe" version of SSBU was released on the next Nintendo system, with all the DLC from the Switch version included, and they released a new wave of DLC for the Deluxe version? Furthermore, all your data from the Switch version carries over, including unlocked Fighters, Spirits, achievements, etc. A lot of the groundwork would already be done since they'd be using the Switch version as a starting point. Thus, the majority of development time could be spent on creating more content for the game. Obviously Fighters, Stages, Spirits, and Mii Costumes would be the focus, but I feel like there's potential for some other additions to the game as well. Extra Bosses, including some for characters who originally didn't get any despite having easy choices (like Mega Man and Sonic). Custom Specials, as they already have the framework thanks to the Mii Fighters. Target Smash courses, ideally with a greater variety than in Brawl and perhaps with the option of creating custom courses. Past stages that were left out of Ultimate. Smash Run. New Pokemon and Assists, as well as Pokeball and Assist Trophy versions of characters who are now also playable (like Charizard and Little Mac). Poke Ball and Assist Trophy selection menus that let you choose which Pokemon/Assists appear. An expanded Tournament mode that now allows up to 64 contestants, with battle sizes up to 8, up to 8 brackets, and the option of teams of 2, 3, or 4 fighters who advance or get knocked out together. Info in the Spirit Gallery that allows it to serve as a replacement for the Trophy Galleries from Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4. Individual Spirit Boards for every single fighter, making it easier to find some Spirits Really, if Ultimate was "Everyone is here", then U-Deluxe could be "Everything is here". New Fighters (Base) New Stages and Music (Base) New Bosses What would you all like to see in a Deluxe edition?
  2. Since we know that Sakurai does add a lot of DLC Mii Fighter Costumes for each Round Sets when each Challenger Pack gets revealed. Mii Fighter Costumes Round 1 and 7 did have a set of 6 while the others like 4 or 5 in each other sets. I was thinking of this idea thread should be if all the Mii Fighter Costumes besides Round 1 & 7 had a complete of 6 Mii Fighter Costumes in each Rounds, which will you pick? (I'll definitely update the thread when Mii Fighter Costumes Round 11 Set is announced) For the criteria for the idea for the list for your own: You can not rearrange the existing Mii Fighter Costumes to the other costumes such as Heihachi Mii Fighter Costume to Round 10 as an example. You can not remove the existing Mii Fighter Costumes and replace it with something else. It has to be brand new Mii Fighter Costumes. Since some have four slots while missing two that are Round 2, 9, and 10 while the rest have five slots while missing one that are Round 3 to 6 and 8. You have to come up something feasible for the two missing slots in Round 2, 9, and 10 while adding one missing slots for Round 3 to 6 and 8. You can not add more for Round 1 and 7. If you can't figure out by yourself, you can take a look at all the trailers to think of a better idea for each Mii FIghter Costumes as brand new outfits. I have came up the list for myself when I was thinking of some predictions earlier before some of the DLC Fighters from Fighter Pass Vol. 2 were revealed are: Round 2: (Missing two slots) Chrono from Chrono Trigger (Mii Swordfighter) Lara Croft from Tomb Raider series (Mii Gunner) Round 3: (Missing one slot) Mumbo Jumbo from Banjo-Kazooie series (Mii Swordfighter) Round 4: (Missing one slot) Rock Howard from Fatal Fury series (Mii Brawler) Round 5: (Missing one slot) Alm from Fire Emblem series (Mii Swordfighter) (it's kind of weird that we didn't have a single new Fire Emblem costume since we did received two that are Black Knight and Chrom in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U) Round 6: (Missing one slot) Trevor Belmont from Castlevania series (Mii Brawler) Round 8: (Missing one slot) Primrose Azelhart from Octopath Travler (Mii Swordfighter) Round 9: (Missing two slots) Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X (Mii Swordfighter) (it's kind of weird that we didn't have a brand new Xenoblade Chronicles Mii Fighter Costume besides Rex and Nia when Pyra and Mythra were announced) Kosmos from XenoSaga series (Mii Gunner) Round 10: (Missing two slots) Jin Kazama from Tekken (Mii Brawler) (it's kind of weird that we didn't have a brand new Tekken Mii Fighter Costume when Kazuya was announced) Valkyrie from The Legend of Valkyrie series (Mii Swordfighter) What is your ideal missing slots of Mii Fighter Costumes do you think it should go for Mii FIghter Costumes Rounds 2 to 6 & Rounds 8 to 11? Edit from October 7th, 2021: Changing the title from 10 to 11 since we have Round 11 Trailer been showcased during at Sora's Presentation.
  3. I was thinking of this for a while, since Super Smash Bros. series has Konami, Sega, Capcom, Namco, Square Enix, Atlus (some people claimed it as Sega for Joker, Atlus had their name on the credits), Microsoft, and lastly SNK had their own characters from their franchises joins in the roster. What about Atari character qualifies as a fighter to join in the fight? I do recall Atari was kinda a big company for the video game department back at the late 1970s before Nintendo comes through before they started a console war with Sega back then since their biggest console success was the Atari arcades and Atari 2600 consoles. I was thinking Bentley Bear from Crystal Castles might be qualify as a fighter, but I did saw some of their best sellers were listed for Atari that I recall remembering such as Asteroids, Missle Command, and Adventure are definitely Atari property. I did played most of Atari arcade games from the compilation on the PC years ago, but I don't recall there's alot of characters showing up on screen? They were merely just showed up as vehicles and ships for their games, but then again that I do recall Captain Falcon himself hasn't shown his face in-game in the first F-Zero game and I don't exactly know if Asteroids, Missle Command, and Adventure had any characters showed up? But, which Atari video game originated characters (please don't use E.T. since he's counted as a Movie Character not a Video Game Originated Character) do you guy think it qualifies as a fighter if one of the Atari characters joins up for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Fighter Pass or for the later games?
  4. I just had a thought as of right now to see if there was a way to add a Golden Sun playable protagonist to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Since Issac was brought back in Ultimate as an Assist Trophy again since Brawl. I just had a thought that what if Issac's son Matthew from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn should be a DLC playable character in Ultimate since Spring Man was an Assist Trophy in Ultimate and Min Min was later brought to Fighter Pass Vol. 2 along with ARMS music and Spring Stadium stage. This just gave me a thought when I was exploring the entire Assist Trophies in Ultimate and there might be a way to add a Golden Sun rep for Ultimate. I definitely think Matthew from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn should join since here's my thoughts on why: I did checked the entire roster and I did saw there was lack of multiple characters were debut from the Nintendo DS system and Lucario was the only Nintendo DS debut character in the entire roster in Super Smash Bros. series. And I think if Matthew joins in that should take away Lucario's condition as the only Nintendo DS debut character in the entire roster since Matthew was debut from the Nintendo DS system game library as well. Since Issac is already an Assist Trophy, I think this would work for Matthew to join in since Spring Man was an Assist Trophy and we didn't know earlier before Min Min back then was announced that other characters from the same franchise can get join in as reps while there's no other characters as playable characters from the same franchise and had an Assist Trophy in-game. There wasn't much Dark Dawn characters appears as Spirits besides Matthew and his father in his adult form are in-game spirits and we know in-game spirits can't be deconfirmed to be as DLC Fighters for Ultimate since Min Min was added in the game a while ago. So do you think about maybe Matthew from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn should join in the roster as a DLC Fighter while his father is stuck as an Assist Trophy in Ultimate similar to like Min Min and Spring Man were handled in Ultimate?
  5. Who will you be maining in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? I'll be maining Chrom with a little Marth sprinkled in..
  6. Nintendo just released a third DLC Fighter trailer for the upcoming second Fighter Pass after Joker in their Super Smash Bros. YouTube Channel. This fighter was from the recently leak that was coded as Brave in the datamine. He will be released in June 21st, 2019. Here is the trailer: Edit from April 2nd: April Fools Day is over now.
  7. We had a entire month to play Ultimate. What are your thoughts? Do you like it?
  8. The Classic Mode of Ike is called The Black-Clad Warriors The theme of Ike's classic mode is that the fighters are dressed in black. Most likely a nod to the rivalry between Ike & the Black Knight Who else felt the same?
  9. Since Echo Fighters are going to be added to Ultimate and they can share the spot with the counterpart in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I totally think these are the choices that I came up with who's going to be echoing who in Ultimate. If you want to post your echo fighter ideas down (try to not include Samus Aran, Peach, Marth, Roy, Pit, and Simon Belmont since they managed to gotten echo fighters) Here's my Echo Fighter ideas that could work: Ken as Ryu's Echo Fighter (both are friends and they were both taught by the same master, I think he be a likely choice) Revealed in 11/1 Direct as Ryu's Echo Fighter Mike Jones from StarTropics as Link's Echo Fighter (since Mike's two game are a Zelda clone, he could have some move sets that be differ to Link's similar to like Chrom for Roy and besides that Ganondorf was used to be Captain Falcon's clone back at Melee and Ganondorf did have the similar special move sets as Captain Falcon's, but some of their normal attacks are different) Ninten from EarthBound Beginnings as Ness's Echo Fighter (since Ninten does resemble to Ness, I think Ninten should have a little bit change on his outfit to avoid confusion with Ness being identical for any players who aren't fimilar with the EarthBound series similar to like how Marth and Roy had gotten newer outfits back at Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U) Funky Kong as Donkey Kong's Echo Fighter (he does act a lot similar to DK in Tropical Freeze Nintendo Switch port, the only difference that he carries his Surf Board that he could hover it be a version of DK's Spinning Kong) Zack as Cloud's Echo Fighter (Zack did had a prequel title for the PSP and it would make sense) or probably put Squall Leonheart from Final Fantasy VIII as Cloud's Echo Fighter since Final Fantasy VIII did had limit breaks as well. Octolings as Inklings's Echo Fighter (obvious reasons due to the Octoling Expansion Pack in Splatoon 2) Impa as Sheik's Echo Fighter (Possibly since Impa did taught Zelda the Sheikah technique in Oracle of Time's 7 time year skip) Isabelle as Villager's Echo Fighter (I did see someone suggested that) Revealed in 9/13 Direct as a separate fighter Ms. Pac-Man as Pac-Man's Echo Fighter (both of them are absolutely similar) Shadow or Tails could be Sonic's Echo Fighter (the only difference with Tails that he can fly) - I haven't played any of the Sonic games Shadow is now deconfirmed in 11/1 Direct and he's still an Assist Trophy Jeanne as Bayonetta's Echo Fighter (both of them are Umber Witches) Black Shadow or Blood Falcon as Captain Falcon's Echo Fighter (we haven't got a single new F-Zero rep for a long time and we do need new F-Zero reps be added to Ultimate) Normal version of Raichu (not Alolan Raichu since he's a Pokeball Pokémon) or Detective Pikachu as Pikachu's Echo Fighter Beck from Mighty No. 9 as Mega Man's Echo Fighter (which Mighty No. 9 is a spiritual successor of Mega Man) Naked Snake as Solid Snake's Echo Fighter (Naked Snake is Big Boss and Solid Snake is a clone of Big Boss, it would make more sense to make him as an echo fighter for Solid Snake) Louie as Olimar's/Alph's Echo Fighter (Louie was added as Olimar's partner from Pikmin 2 and he could be a wise choice as an Echo Fighter for Olimar's) Yarn Yoshi as Yoshi's Echo Fighter Digby as Villager's Echo Fighter or Isabelle's Echo Fighter (This gave me idea after Isabelle was revealed) I don't know if Dixie Kong would work as Diddy's Echo Fighter would work as since Dixie doesn't have a gun nor a Jetpack. I'm pretty sure Dixie will might be Diddy's Semi-Echo Fighter. For possible newcomers that I wanted to see it being to be added in Ultimate and I totally think they could get an Echo Fighter: Springtron from Arms as Spring Man's Echo Fighter (he did copied Spring Man's moves in Arms, the only difference that he could have his defense be higher and he could be stronger than Spring Man's and he could be a heavy weight fighter) Deconfirmed in 11/1 Direct since Spring Man is an Assist Trophy Curly Brace from Cave Story as Quote's Echo Fighter (they did fight the same in Cave Story, the only difference are that Quote and Curly Brace had different guns, they can trade the guns in the hut where Curly stayed) I don't know about Risky Boots would kinda qualify as Shantae's Echo Fighter or they could get Nega-Shantae as Shantae's Echo Fighter One of the CodeName S.T.E.A.M. characters as Henry Fleming's Echo Fighter For any unclear whatever some of these characters might make it to Ultimate and finally becomes as newcomers: Alice from Balloon Kid, Game Boy sequel of Balloon Fight as Balloon Fighter's Echo Fighter Isa from Sin and Punishment: Star Successor as Saki's Echo Fighter Matthew from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn as Issac's Echo Fighter Deconfirmed in 11/1 Direct since Issac is still an Assist Trophy Edit: Added Mighty No. 9, Naked Snake, Louie, Detective Pikachu, Yarn Yoshi, and Digby in the Echo Fighter idea list and fixed the description of the idea of Ninten. And add the unclear newcomers could make it in Ultimate and thought of something that could get an echo fighter. Nintendo Direct in 9/13 now revealed Isabelle is now confirmed as a separate fighter instead of Villager's Echo Fighter. Nintendo Direct in 11/1 now revealed Ken is now confirmed as Ryu's Echo Fighter and now deconfirmed Spring Man, Issac, and Shadow since they're Assist Trophies.
  10. So yesterday, it was revealed that Final Smash meters are finally a thing. Previously in the competitive scene, Final Smashes were banned because they were dependent on the Smash Ball, an item that could spawn anywhere on the stage. But with Final Smash meters, that factor of randomness is gone. In addition, Final Smashes activated through the meter are weaker than their Smash Ball counterpoints. My question to you is this: should Final Smash meters be made legal? Here's my stance on the matter: they should be made legal and here's why Final Smashes have always been the Smash equivalent of super moves from literally every fighting game ever. And now with the meters, it feels a lot closer to that. The Final Smashes are weaker. Sure, some are still very powerful and not all Final Smashes are made equal. The same applies to super moves in a lot of other fighting games. And i've seen the point that Marth's Final Smash, even when weakened, can still OHKO. However, a lot of Final Smashes, especially Critical Hit, are easily dodgeable. The only point against this that i do understand is Infernal Climax, Bayonetta's Final Smash, as it's a universal time slow-down that kills anyone above 100%. Though, to be fair, we don't know how Infernal Climax is being handled when used through the meter. Final Smashes are hype as hell. This is very important for viewership. Sakurai has already added little things to make the game a lot more enjoyable for the spectator. Things like the score appearing after each stock is taken to more easily show the audience who's winning. The slow-mo effect on strong moves and finishing moves to really drive home that satisfying impact. Having Final Smash meters be legal would add to that even more, especially since Sakurai has made a point in making a lot Final Smashes quick and straight to the point.
  11. Since we don't have a thread about Assist Trophy suggestions for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, I do think I'll start one. I do want to see some might appear as Assist Trophies in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are: Mr. You (it's actually his name in the game) from Sky Skipper - since we finally gotten the game, I do think Mr. You might show up as an Assist Trophy instead of a Fighter since we haven't seen him fight outside of his plane. Maybe one of the Labo characters Tifa Lockhart or Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy series - since Rodin from Bayonetta was added as an Assist Trophy for the Bayonetta series and a lot of 3rd Party fighters got an Assist Trophy character joined in such as Gray Fox for Solid Snake, Shadow (and Knuckles) for Sonic, Elec Man for Mega Man, and the four Ghosts for Pac-Man. Maybe a Street Fighter character, I don't know which one though? A Punch-Out!! character, I do think Glass Joe, King Hippo, or Mr. Sandman would might show up since Little Mac became a newcomer for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and we don't have a single Punch-Out!! character gets added as an Assist Trophy after Little Mac joins as a fighter in For Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. One of the characters from Xenoblade Chronicles X and 2 Black Knight, Caeda, Sigurd/Seliph/Leif, Gharnef, Frederick, Berkut, Azura, and/or Medeus - We do need an Another Fire Emblem Assist Trophy so that Lyn won't be alone. One of the Donkey Kong bosses from Donkey Kong series and Poochy from Yoshi series - Since the Mario and Wario series has Assist Trophies, I think Donkey Kong series and Yoshi series should need one. Snipperclippers duo - Since they don't seemed to be Fighter like due to they're papers, I do like to see if they can do something that can assist the fighters. I know I did managed to requested these fighters, but I don't know if they'll might make it as new playable characters. I'll be ok if they didn't make it as Newcomers and still appear in the game as Assist Trophies: Mike Jones from StarTropics - since his two games that weren't released in Japan and I do know there's probably some StarTropics fans did put Mike Jones in the official Fighters Ballot for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U back when it was still on before it closed at October 2015 and his first game did get added to the NES Classic Edition. I'm pretty sure Sakurai probably read every characters requests when it was closed and he did said it has to be well known since what happened to Takamaru from The Mysterious Murasame Castle that he was going to originally appear as a newcomer but changed to Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. Avatar and/or Elma - since there was a huge request for Rex and Pyra/Mythra to appear as newcomers for Xenoblade Chronicles series reps, I don't know what is the condition for Avatar and/or Elma's results will might happen and what might appear for Ultimate.
  12. Since the latest Nintendo Direct shown that there is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. title happened today and the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch system on 2018. But, we haven't seen any footages nor any characters revealed for the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title and they haven't shown the Fire Emblem Switch title in today's Direct. I'm guessing that we could see Alm (he does use a bow since he does use a bow in his Hero class on Gaiden and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and it would avoid use the Plain Swordsman category since what happened to Chrom when he was going to be planned during at Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U) or probably add Celica since Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia was released last year and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia did managed to sold well outside of Japan and it did managed to outsold Pokemon Sun and Moon's numbers since May as one of the Top 10 Best Selling Nintendo 3DS games. However, since the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title is coming to the same year as the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title, but we have no idea which games is going to be coming out first. I totally think the Fire Emblem Switch protagonist is probably going to be showing up either as an Unlockable Newcomer similar to like Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee since Roy's game The Binding Blade did released after Super Smash Bros. Melee or he/she will might show up as a DLC Newcomer similar to like Corrin since Fire Emblem Fates did released after Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. I don't think it would make any sense and we don't exactly know if he/she will show up as a default fighter since his/her game is going to be coming this year if the Fire Emblem Switch title as well as the Super Smash Bros. Switch title and we still don't have a single release date confirmed other than confirmed 2018 for both of these titles. I know that Sakurai did add Roy and Corrin to the roster as Unlockable, DLC, vice versa since Sakurai did said he's a big fan of the Fire Emblem series and I totally think we could see the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch protagonist being appearing for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Switch title sometime during at the development. What do you guys think how will the protagonist of the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title will show up for the upcoming Nintendo Switch title of Super Smash Bros.? I'm pretty sure we could see some or a few Nintendo related characters (like any ARMS characters, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, etc.) who debut from the Nintendo Switch games that were released around 2017 through early or mid 2018 will might show up for upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch either as default, unlockable, or even DLC newcomers. Edit: The E3 Presentation and the latest Nintendo Direct confirms the new title for both games revealed to be as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for December 9, 2018 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses is now set to Spring 2019 instead of 2018.
