Recruitable-Not Recruitable (in the main story?)

Just checked the character introduction in the "New Mystery" section and noticed some characters are labeled as " Can not be recruited in the main story"

while for some others ( such as michalis who is not recruitable ) it is not defined whether they can join you or not.

So after all Roro joins or not? And katarina perma dies at proloque 8? Is there any post end "extra-play" maps like FE6 where "characters that can't join you in the main story" can be selected?

Michalis is recruitable this time.

Roro joins only in an extra downloadable episode. Comparable to FE6's trial maps, yes.

Katarina returns later on.

If a character is not recruitable, it says so in the introduction section, if there's nothing, then the character is 100% certainly recruitable.

Check the recruit section of the game if you're unsure, that can answer your question just as good as I.
