Even if that were so, the little things add up. And it's not just the enemy parameters you can change. You can change your parameters as well.

Sure it's not perfect but just like Atelier's Change BGM feature, Custom Difficulty should be a thing in every game.

But I suggested a much more interesting option, that adds much more depth to the game as well. I just think that adding more mechanics to the gameplay could add alot of strategy to the blade switching during battle.

I finally beat chapter 4-4 without deaths! But dang, Oliver is a joke. All of my units, including Mist, could ORKO him.

I'm scared for this next one becasue it's my terrible army!

Did you know he was recruitable? If you move Rafiel within his movement range and he'll walk over to Rafiel and recruit himself. Of course, I'd remove any hostiles that aren't stationary from play first.

It's also a big chance to get peeps ready for endgame. Also of note, this is the only time you see Feral Ones, and a rather vile FE villain (though him being evil was blatantly obvious even in part 1) as well.

St. Patrick's Day Sonic gets 5 points for being consistent with his modern (Sonic Adventure and beyond) artwork. But, it gets -31720 for looking worse overall than a Shamrock Shake someone vomited.

That's Sonic? That looks more like Jet the Hawk without wings.

Which coliseum battle is it?

My 2nd EOV team is fully kitted in ultimate equipment now. The Zombie Dragon did kill two characters via Curse damage, which I blame for nearly causing me to a second Formaldehyde, but otherwise it was easy. Lamia, the second strongest superboss remains, and checking its arsenal, it's menacing: Poison, Petrify, Insta-Death, Panic, and grunts that attempt to Bind me every way (besides Lamia herself having a triple-Bind, a counter for killing her respawning minions, and the ability to lower your resistance to Binds). All my favorite shutdown tools in EOV turned against me.

I'll take a few days after Lamia before NG+ and giving my third team a try, which is going to be heavily dependent on Poison Bomb for offense in the first two Strata.

Don't worry! The boss can summon reinforcements for about 40 turns. But, they're always spawned adjacent to the boss in a group of four. 4-5 is considered great for last minute training for weaklings. You can prep anyone for the final battle if you take your time and feed kills to them. Or, you can go for a bosskill with Tibarn to end things quickly.

I recruited him, mostly so Laura could get his Nosferatu and Silence. And Ike's glorious reaction, of coursex.

4-5 has been really easy so far; everyone in this army other than Gatrie was still T1 or T2 and I ran out of master crowns. Geoffrey promoted two turns in, Keiran promoted two turns in, Lucia's gonna promote next time she sees combat. I could have easily cheesed it with Tibarn, but I'm just gonna grind out the exp for everyone else.

That moment when Keiran as a lv. 18 Axe pally doesn't take damage from cats... It's hilarious how weak the enemies are. Volke is amazing too.

I have officially become a hikikomori. I sleep during the day and I'm up at night, because my cold wouldn't permit me to do otherwise.
And yes, it is a cold, I'm lacking the symptoms for the corona virus. I even double checked with three different doctors just to make sure. Doesn't change the fact that I feel like garbage right now, but hey, it's something.
And with that, I wish all of you a good morning!

---

Speaking of the corona virus, I find it sort of funny that in 7th Dragon III's backstory, the world went to shit because of the True Dragons appearing on Earth and bringing along a pandemic known as the Dragon Sickness. Guess the year in which that backstory takes place? Yes, 2020.
Now I'm waiting for the True Dragons to show up.

And with that, you have all five party members.

Zeke himself is powerful but he's also kind of a glass cannon. Probably because his attacks generally do come out slower, especially if using Megalance Blades, so keep that in mind.

He takes a lot of time charging, that's true, complete with meme-tastic Engrish. I swear, this guy is my favorite character in this game. XD
Will it help much if I give him equipment that buffs his HP and/or defenses or should I just focus on making him do as much damage as he can?

The tigers and (red) dragons are powerful enough to hurt, though. However, the latter tend to be rather inaccurate. And are easily snuffed out by lightning magic.

Incidentally, the Beastfoe, Birdfoe, and Dragonfoe scrolls are very useful in this chapter if you got them (the former and the latter are hidden items, while you can buy the second one from the bargains).

Well, that army group was basically part 2's army, so was super underleveled, but some of the people there weren't too bad.

Made it through the remainder part of Chapter 3. Haha, oh, Torneko's shop is such a money fountain. Found the Astraea's Abacuses to be the best to buy and resell for this, so I did. Also thought on visiting the casino again. Took much less time to acquire what I wanted this time around.

Decided to end it there. To begin Chapter 4 for the next time, so I will.

Made it to Rebirth 2. Is it just me, or is the BK fight dang near impossible? I know you need Aether at least once to win, but BK hasn't failed to activate Nihil through 12 rounds of combat. Ike's been killed 6 times already. But Ike's capped  Str, Skill, Spd and Def, still no chance to beat him. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Also, RIP to Levail, he doesn't get any lines prior to the battle.

Well, that means Nyala, and next year it's Fomalhaut. Just those two and a bunch of weaker Imperials, I forget what most of them look like and are named though.

I recommend finding an underground fallout shelter and hiding there until some modern samurai, psychics, punching destroyers, hackers, knife/gun-toting agents, and pop idols save the world.

Or to use a term less contemporary Japanese and more European historical, Philip V of Spain.

The king loved monogamous sex, but was deeply religious as Spanish monarchs tended to be. His lust and Christian devotion came into conflict, it led him to constantly worry he was going to Hell when he died. His second wife Elisabeth Farnese sometimes told him "not tonight" so he'd come quivering to her the next day willing to approve whatever she wanted politically.

Philip V's anxiety and depression, which shouldn't be entirely mocked, you have to wish he had psychiatric counseling, led him into an odd life of being asleep in the day and awake at night. This must have bothered Farinelli, a famed castrated singer who for years was forced to sing eight or nine arias every night to soothe the troubled king.

If someone stripped the mental illness from this, I would love to see this unusual but real person's eccentricities copied in a video game or other form story.

You could go either way. I ended up playing as Morag a lot with a full set of tanking Blades on her, damage ones on Zeke, and accessories matching their respective role on each. I sometimes ran into issues of Zeke attracting too much enemy aggression from all the damage he was dealing, thus leading enemies to go after and kill him. This was a greater concern when I was fighting multiple enemies.

If you do want to improve his offense, there is a great accessory, so I thought, for the job. It isn't available yet for you, it won't be for some time, but the Male Loincloth provides a 50% to boost to all damage dealt. The only requirement is that the active Blade must be of the opposite sex for the boost to take effect. Fortunately, Pandoria is female, and so are a lot of other Rares, so it isn't hard to get the buff. And don't worry about the idea of Zeke in primal underwear, the Male Loincloth does not change his appearance at all, only Japanese XCX has things like visible loincloths.

First, Nihil will always activate in RD.

Second, do not move Ike. Why? Read the terrain data! All the floor looks like ordinary tiles, the Tower of Guidance has many tiles that magically increase Def, Res, or Avoid. The BK is standing on one that gives +10 Def, and so is Ike IIRC. Don't move Ike and let the BK walk over to him, you should be doing much more damage then.

Third, stop, hammertime! You can use non-Ragnell weapons on the BK, and if you have a Hammer, you can abuse the fact he doesn't have Nullify to deal effective damage on him. Or if you want to avenge Greil with touch of irony, bring out the Urvan if you so wish.

Aether? Pft, for RD!BK, just use a Hammer. He no longer has the immunity, so exploit the armor weakness if it's really giving you that much trouble.

I wish I'd gotten Ike to SS axes, but nope, at base A. Thanks for the tiles advice, though. Hammers are also not n option.

Also, dang I wish sentinel had better caps. Aran capped everything but res and Magic at level 8. That strength cap is pretty dang bad.

We can only hope that it's the weakened version of Nyala and not his full strength one from 12,000 years ago.
Also, don't forget about ND, who will trigger the events to bring about the existence of VFD 80 years from now.

There is stuff that lessens aggro gain, now that I think about it. Perhaps I should give him one of those, since they come in handy on Nia, who rarely gets attacked anymore.
That Loincloth thing does sound interesting, however. I'll definitely be on the lookout for it.
Thanks for the tips!

About Zeke in a loincloth: I mean, Mythra wears practically nothing but a very short minidress without her special accessory that gives her tights to go along with it, so a male character running around in primal underwear isn't exactly something I'd be bothered by, so even if it did change a characters' appearance, so long as it's effects are good, that's all I really need.

Yeah, the class looks cool, but stat-wise, it's pretty underwhelming, I agree.

I think a good idea is to buff his HP while giving him accessories that reduce aggro. I think they exist. Cause Zeke hits hard but he isn't really built to take loads of damage. It is possible to get Zeke close to or the max HP (9999) but that's more of endgame strats.

Adding to this, it stacks with the World Tree Badge (i believe it was called), which boosts your damage output with each Blade Switch up to 250%, so later in the game, it's possible to make Zeke a really beefy attacker.

World Tree Badge is one of the best accessories in general.
