[FE12] What do we do with all those staves Draft [Part1]

Ok, here we go, Part one starting:

Preface:

(Please note if you think I have forgotten something)

In Drafting Tournaments Explained, Integ and I had a discussion on what to do with the following staves: Warp, Rescue and, to a lesser extent for this draft, Hammerne. From my point of view, Rescue needs certain limitations, Integ thinks it should be banned. We will also see what this game is without warp. To find out what is the better option, I will be hosting two different drafts, this one, where we follow Integs

rules, No warp, no rescue. This will show us what the minimal TC's will be without these staves, for later comparison to the other draft i will host. (I will not open them at the same time, next one probly next week?)

This draft is to be taken quite seriously, so if you are willing to join, please think of two things:

- Am I certain i will finish this?

- Am I an experienced enough player to get the lowest turncounts?

If you think you do not qualify for the first, please consider not joining immediately, I would like all people to actually finish. So that we get the most complete picture. (Just as in The Should Haar be banned draft)

If you think you wont be able to get the lowest TC for every chapter, you can still join, but please do tell the other drafters when you are stuck and what your current turncount is. This draft is not a competition, this is a collaboration where we try and find the lowest turncounts together.

Also, RNG abuse is not frowned upon. If you want, you can reset for a 2% crit to shave a turn. Prologue abuse is also no problem.

I will try and help anyone the best i can, so please do not hesitate to ask about how to get through a chapter, everyone will try and help.

Now then, onto the drafting:

Drafting:

1. This draft is for 5 players

2. Marth, Arran, Xane, Feena, and Rickard are free for all. MU is free for all, in the classes Archer/Sniper, Mage/Sage, Cleric/Curate/Bishop

3. The game will be played on Hard 1.

Rules:

1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, visit houses, trade, and shop.

2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to opening chests/doors.

3. All characters are free for Prologue chapters. However, all drafted characters who are recruitable in the Prologue must be recruited.

4. You are free to reclass undrafted units to whatever you want.

5. All Gaiden chapters must be visited.

6. The game must be played out to the True Ending.

7. Rescue is Banned [Ex: Midia may be rescued in chapter 20]

8. Warp is banned

9. Drafted characters must be recruited

Other:

1. Forging, the Rainbow Potion, Lunatic Statboosters and use of Wi-fi features are strictly prohibited.

2. Male Class Set Combination is allowed.

3. Use of the Base Arena is allowed.

4. Use of the Clock Bonus is strictly prohibited.

5. Hammerne is allowed (for clarification.)

Penalties:

1. Undrafted units have a 4-turn penalty, per unit per chapter.

Exceptions:

1. Palla is free for Chapter 3.

2. Yubello, Yumina, Ogma and Sirius are free for Chapter 4.

3. Navarre is free for Chapter 7.

4. Merric is free for Chapter 10.

5. Nyna, Maria, Lena and Elice are free for Final.

I'll be interested in participating, without Warp or Rescue.

I've never finished a draft, cause one was FE10 and the other I'm refusing to continue until other people decided to continue, but I was doing pretty well in the FE8 one until I decided to stop. I think you can trust me on this one..

fe12 doesn't suck monkey nuts on my computer anymore so i'll join this, now that i have free time now that classes are done.

also, i couldn't find it in the rules, are prologue turns counted or not?

I didn't know if that meant general strategies for LTC'ing the prologue, or for level ups.

I've always found mage to be the best, since nosferatu tanking is pretty cool in some chapters.

I will need to see some progress in that case once we start, but if you are willing to finish in a timely manner, you have my trust in this. :)

Rest is all in, Pkl, give it priority :P I know your backlog, but this can be steamed through. Since it is basically fe11 with different maps.

Raven is good I'll vouch for him

even though he's a lil bitch. Also, drafting order?

I put him on the list, and otherwise I just start badgering him to no mercy. :P

Prologue isnt counted. So use forts and thrones as much as you want.

I always go mage Mu, since Noferatu (female only) is really helpful, also, I start spamming staves later on, although that isnt nescessary for this draft. I usually go for the Noble/Diverse/Humane, Other good one is Noble/Diverse/Truth

I can help with a couple of those question marks.

Chapter 4 - 7 turns, I think. I'm doing an old FE12 draft, and I did not rescue Marth.

Chapter 10 - Pretty sure you can pull this off in 2 if you have Wendell go Draco.

EDIT: As I charge through the draft, I'll tell you what else I find.

And Horace, Never, Catria is to good! She doesnt have auto silver, but early draco feeding helps her a lot. And then its a rocket blasting through enemy lines! =]
