Jedi
Wow I just noticed this thread and was about to make my own, ok so here we go what I was going to say when I made it wasYay! We got ourselves a new Jump Stars game, PS3 is region free so I'll probably be picking this up. J-Stars Victory Vs lets up to four players battle it out against one another in a gameplay and graphical style similar to those of Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale. Fighters can move and fight in all directions of a 3D battle field. Players should learn the lay of the land and formulate a battle plan with a character suited to it. A defeated character comes back after a set amount of time passes. To win the battle, all three sections of the WIN gauge at the top of the screen have to be filled; the gauge fills one section each time an opponent is defeated. Fighters can use regular attacks, power attacks, area-based attacks, and finishing moves. Regular attacks are the main part of the battle, and all combos begin with them. Power attacks leave the user open, but they have a big impact if they connect and their power can be increased by charging them up. Area-based attacks allow to hit opponents over a wide area. By using different techniques, the player can lead his team to victory; learning each character's different power, range, and effects is the first step towards being unbeatable. Confirmed Characters are Son Goku (Dragon Ball) Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece) Toriko (Toriko) Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)Gintoki Sakata (Gintama) Kankichi Ryotsu (Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen Mae Hashutsujo)Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho)Gon Freecss (Hunter x Hunter)Confirmed Stages Are Namek (Dragon Ball) Alabasta Kingdom (One Piece) Vegetable Sky (Toriko) Konohagakure (Naruto) Dark Tournament Stadium (YuYu Hakusho) Looking pretty cool, glad Kenshin and Yusuke [and people here already know how much I love Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho ^^ are back to kick some butt along with some of the others, I can't wait to see who else gets confirmed Edited August 13, 2013 by Folgore Red II

Jedi
What was the difference between support and help characters? Support was like assist characters you could put in your deck in that game to be called on for an attack, Help were just stat boosting characters to boost your dudes

Jedi
And you could have both at the same time? You could but there was a limit, you had a page. Think of a manga page, you could put Battle, Support and Help characters in the slots and each had different sizes. Where is an example... Battle characters tend to be the biggest they range from 3 to 8 spaces or so, helps are usually one square and Support are usually 2 to 3. I'm kind of doubting J-Star Victory will be using this system however. Edited August 16, 2013 by Folgore Red II

Suichimo
Do remember, this isn't actually part of the Jump! series of fighting games from the DS. This is its own series. Well Project X Zone came over seas so this game might have a chance. The difference being that all of the characters in PXZ are owned by three companies and the characters in the Jump games, outside of Japan, are owned by 20+ companies. Yeah, that's the reason we didn't get Jump Ultimate Stars. It would require companies working together together on the translation and then sharing the profit. The closest comparison would be Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Which was an amazing game. But it essential got a rerelease designed for international release in Japan and they had to take out a character or two due to rights. I think it would much more difficult considering how popular all these characters in the States.
