Speaking about which, the trailer pretty much confirmed what we suspected from the previous teaser: There will be pre-promoted enemy (or even multiple ones for that matter) as soon as chapter 6!!

Yikes!

What I'm concerned about is that we'll probably have to defeat either Marx/Ryouma in that battle. I wish that they will retreat instead of dying that early in the game. Since they are supposedly significant to the plot, I want to learn more about them (even if one is enemy).

They probably DO retreat after they're defeated in that battle.

I hope it works similarly to Yggdra Union: Plot important enemy characters retreat, but in the end maps they are killed in battle. It would add a lot to the story, I think.

Or maybe it is just an amimation out of the chapter similar to the confrontations between Ike and the Black Knight in PoR.

But given the following image:

I suspect that Kamui pairs up with Marx (blade glowing in red near Kamui) and engages Ryouma in combat. Maybe Marx just tanks Ryouma's hit with Dual Guard or something, I don't think such a tough battle to happen so early in the game.

Maybe you don't necessarily have to fight through that chapter. Instead, we could clear the chapter by going to talk to Marx/Ryouma, where upon ending the chapter, you'll be forced to make your decision on whose side you'll stick around. That'd be neat.

I'm leaning towards a royalty exchange to explain how Kamui got to Nohr and to explain the dancer. It's not that uncommon for countries to do that when trying to foster piece (which obviously changed since then). Especially since it'll have to have been at least decade and a half since Kamui was first brought to Nohr.

Someone translated what was said in the trailer and just after the Hoshidian swordsman gets shot down by arrows, you see the king of Nohr, Garon, reach with his hands and says 'You will live, but as my child, that is'. So it seems like Kamui was taken from Hoshido when he was young and raised by Nohr.

Since no one on either the Nohr or Hoshido side seems to have any manakete (or dragon-unicorn or whatever it is) traits, I'm going to assume that the whole reason Kamui was taken/kidnapped/whathaveyou was because Garon desired some special power only they had as a manakete/half-manakete.

I'm more interested in whether or not Kamui was old enough to remember that event. Because if they were, and that really WAS their father, that's going to leave quite a mental scar. The idea of Kamui still being able to come to love his Nohr family despite that is really interesting. However, considering all the moral complexities that brings up and because I just feel like IS kept taking the easy path out in FE:Awakening, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they just made it so Kamui doesn't remember or doesn't know about how he was stolen from his original family. It simplifies things considerably from a moral standpoint, but man the other option would be a lot more fun.

Also, it's funny because my first Fire Emblem game was the Blazing Sword (the first one released in NA) and that was just kind of the thing that stuck with me. Just chapters and maybe arenas, no world map grinding. So it'll be nice to play through Nohr like that again.

Boss of Chapter 6 in FE1/Shadow Dragon is a General. Just because they're promoted doesn't necessarily mean they're incredibly strong.

But why does the king kidnap Kamui ? My theory is he just happened to go by , seeing Kamui and his escort and BAM : "you are my son ".

And who the hell is that dancer , is SHE kamui sister , nurse , guider , wife ......

He wants Kamui's DRAGON POWER!

We don't know who dancer girl is. All we know about her is that she dances, is very pretty, and gets a sweet-ass spear at some point. It's pretty clear that either they're just trying to hype up the mystery around her (similar to Masked Marth/Lucina from Awakening) or her identity is spoilers and very important to the story. The two need not be mutually exclusive.

Okay, I just thougt of something. What if(ahhh, get it?) Kamui's escort/father/brother/cousin/whatever, the guy who got shot down, was cornered and he begged the king to let Kamui live and be returned to Hoshidan because he's incredibly important to the kingdom but the king went back in his word after he killed the swordsman and said "You will live, but as my child that is." Eh? Eh?

No. I refuse to believe that the dancer is my waifu. No, but seriously I doubt she's his wife or sister since the first one seems unlikely... well then again, maybe the king gave Kamui her as a prize or something. They don't share any traits so I doubt she's his sister and Kamui already has 2 maids so I don't think she's his nurse. Guider seems to be the closest one though.

I'm thinking that at least one of Kamui's parents should be missing if they don't decide to use hair recoloring for at least one parent, whoever they are, due to Kamui's avatar status. It'd be like how Robin's mother was just mentioned and never showed up.

Also, did anyone notice that the last two avatar protagonists have names from characters in FE Gaiden? :P

I just saw the trailer uploaded by NIntendo and they literally labelled it "Fire Emblem Choose Your Path Trailer". I seriously hope they won't even think of using that name in the localization. <.<

I wouldn't read too much into that. When there gets to be multiple trailers for a game they'll sometimes label them based on what they show or emphasize. Just look at Bravely Default. They had a "Bravely Default Adventure Trailer" "Bravely Default Jobs Trailer" and "Bravely Default Character Trailer" obviously none of those ended up being the title of the game.

Well mates, you pretty told everything I had in the head in the analysis. XD

And thanks for who translated "I'm your big brother, Ryouma", I read it but I didn't thought of translating it. x)

I would however like to catch your attention about a moment on the video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=x9NgMeRUkc8#t=187

Which I translated as :

"Damn ! Nosferatu is also at such a place !"

That made me thought of the return of the Invoker class from FE8.

Here's why : If Kamui says that Nosferatu, there the demon, is ALSO in front of him, that must means he already faced/saw one before. And since the Nosferatu is introduced as a monster, and was furthermore the name of a Dark Magic Tome in the elder FE, that would actually make sense, even because of its design, which seems to be pretty generic.

What's Ryouma saying? And maybe Kamui is assisting Marx in a fight; it would make more sense for the two Jeigans to duke it out instead of the little guy getting stomped by his big bro. And I'd think that Ryouma wouldn't try to kill his long lost brother whom he loves, but Ryouma and Marx seemed like enemies from the first.

Ryouma's saying "Come at me, Kamui," This scene comes after Kamui decides what faction to side with and in this case, he sides with the Nohr which leads to Ryouma fighting Kamui.
