Heyo fellow FE fans. This is a Serenes thread for my FE14 AU series of fanficiton updates on AO3. While I cannot predict changes the localization team will make for the upcoming gamse, I have keep up with most of the fan-tanslations for the material and thus this fic contains spoilers for Fire Emblem: Fates. So if you want to go into the game blind, it'd be best to avoid this thread for the time being.

For those interested, the main factor that seperates this "A Marriage Of States" series from the game's canon is the fact that the Invisible Kingdom and everything affiliated with it is a non-element in the setting and events. I'm more interested in exploring the world and potential conflict human politics can create.

I have the first fic in the series, Into A Walled Garden, chapter 1 is posted.

Summary: Instead of an ambush, an accord is struck between two kings. A princess of Nohr for a princess of Hoshido- an arrangement of marriages for the sake of peace. Now grown, the children in question must live with the arrangement. But is it merely duty, or will there be more?

For those curious about all of the differences of this AU vs. game verse, I have the details posted here.

I've also written fic for other FE games like Awakening and Geneology of the Holy War. But will likely be focusing on this Fates series for the forseeable future, so this thread will stick to AMOS fic updates only.

I'd appreciate feedback on the fics in the Feedback thread here.

What the hell is the meaning of this?

...

Why has this fic gone unnoticed? I honestly envy your mastery of words, as you exquistively describe the surroundings and takes into account several cultural quirks, showcasing that you have done your research. I can't help but be awed by your description of the wedding gifts and relating them to the political situation in both countries. The food porn is definetly a nice bonus, you should continue with that. Although I felt baffled over your choice of basically throwing the whole premise of Fates in the trash can, in favor of your own original plot, your story-telling merits continued watching.

Honestly, I am jealous. Your writing feels so professional that my own amateur skills are nothing in comparison.
