After the disaster that was the FRLG nuzlocke, another one has appeared. Venturing into a remake of a sequel which had a prequel remade, our five bold heroes strive to blindly stumble through a game or something!

In the LILAC corner, being called by pipes everywhere is Terrador!

In the MAGENTA corner, with more mind tricks than that guy who sold you that set of knives you didn't need, Jedi!

In the GOLDEN BROWN corner, the king of fast food and also no scoping noobs, Refa!

In the SEPIA corner, a contemporary of Hippocrates, Shin!

And sitting in the middle of the stage due to space constraints, is Horace!

Dem rules;

- If a mon dies, it's gone

- First mon is catchable in the area, regardless if it's been caught or not before

- Losing all your mons is only a game over if you have none in your box

- Amazing names are mandatory

- Trades between players will occur at given intervals permitting for hardware allowances

- Starter Pokemon options have been selected by other players before start

We also have a funny rule in place, Shin edited all of our different games, so our starters were chosen by different people. You'll see this proper when one of us posts their first update.

RULES CLARIFICATIONS THAT WERE DISCUSSED

-Ho-Oh, Lugia, Suicune, Red Gyarados are banned

-Scripted Electrode, Kenya, ingame trades are permitted (but all count as for that area)

-First trade is after Bug-Catching Contest, which must be done before fighting Whitney; winner determines trade order!

-The rest of trades are random chain.

-As it stands, the schedule for subsequent trades, though subject to change, is: after KOing Red Gyarados, but before Rocket Hideout or Mahogany Gym; after arriving at the Pokemon League, but before attempting the Elite Four; immediately after obtaining 11 badges; immediately after obtaining 14 badges; after obtaining 16 badges, but before battling Red.

Rt. 29/30 do nothing, but Rt. 31 gives me... Rattata. TYPICAL.

Dark Cave gave me Geodude, then... game crashed. Gonna check into what emu I should be using, since I have to mulligan that either way.

As you can see, the starters are the same lovable ones from the original games; Guayaquil, Toddle, and Anchorite.

Chikorita is effectively the hard mode of the game, but what can I say? I like me a challenge.

IV’s (median values): 19HP 25ATK 9DEF 9SPA 19SpD 9SPD

Chikorita has a lame ass learnset, with its only useful move (outside of its base moves, which are respectable) for the longest time being Sing at level 9. After that, it's the incredibly weak and dodgy Fury Attack at level 13 (even worse because no STAB), a situationally useful move in Safeguard at level 18 (I can see it being helpful for Morty anyways), and another pointless move in Mist at level 23, with a good move finally existing at level 28 in the form of Takedown (hell yeah). Oh well, this is the hard mode (although since this is a nuzlocke, would that make this the harder mode?) after all.
