Yeah there's a fields and plains option but it doesn't seem to work either.

EDIT: also that 0x500 thing isn't in the dropdown, I had to type it in manually

maybe it has to do with the map program you're using? :s

I've never used Map Editor before. I stick to tiled and mappy.

Hmm... Maybe? I'm not too sure though since I tried saving it as a tmx and inserting it with the tiled map inserter.

And, amusingly enough, I don't have much experience with mappy.

So I changed it to Water(Town&Docks)

And now it magically works.

I've always found tile animations to be a bit iffy, I just fiddle around with it until it works usually

Well, that turned out to be... a novel solution...

Usual way of doing things doesn't work for some reason; accidentally find new way of doing things. Such is life in glorious Moddinggrad.

The only real issue that came out of this is the waterfall I had in chapter 1 doesn't play nice with Town and Docks

Some new classes/battle sprites are in now, the pictures even come with Belle's ugly as sin and totally not done recolor

It's definitely not just lyn's palette

Any spoilers for character portraits?

Not much has changed for them (Sawyer has a new placeholder portrait), but here's a bunch of them

You may be wondering why they aren't all the same stylistically, that's because with my lack of artistic talent I've got a few different people doing mugs (along with some taken from NickT's collection)

Force of habit from all the screenshots I end up taking of random junk mostly

They're probably janky because my VBA is larger than the native resolution of GBA stuff

its easier on the eyes if you use the built in screeshot tool from vba :P

I guess I'm just used to oversized pictures of VBA :P

Sure!

Demo is kinda rough around the edges (some stuff is fixed in a newer version but that one's not ready to ship)

But it's here now, and I guess that's what matters
