You've been living under a rock. Too bad you had to miss it. I wish I didn't have to put it on hold, but as it was if I were interviewed when I was nominated I would have had to miss 2/5ths of the interview days.

Good to know.

I remember now. That was the week I was interviewed in your place.
I was actually gonna opt out when I saw I was getting some votes, since I thought I'd bore everyone if I was ever chosen. XD My procrastination got you a week's worth of questions.

Yeah... what happened to @Hattusili I? I mean, today's Wednesday even. Is he wanting to pass the baton? I hope he's OK... I'm probably overthinking things...

Anyway... hello @Interdimensional Observer!

I. Favorite of the classical and Chinese elements?

II. Which of the seven deadly sins and seven heavenly virtues do you most associate yourself with?

III. How were you introduced to Fire Emblem?

IV. What led you to Serenesforest?

V. I have read before that you like characters such as Lippti and Teo (from Radiant Historia)  - characters that simply watch over mankind without interfering. Any specific reason you like this type of character?

Response:

Spoiler

1. Fairly casual, relaxed, lighthearted, Oboro-obsessed (not that I mind), Heroes and Far from the Forest near exclusively in terms of boards visited. Overall a fairly inoffensive profile, which is wonderful when the internet can be so full of offensive provocateurs and hostility.

2.  I don't play jazz, nor listen to it intensively in my free time, nor know any real jazz music and musicians. But I don't mind listening to it at all- it's quite good for sure whenever I do happen to hear it (in video games there is this one soft jazz remix of Meta Knight's Revenge from Kirby's Epic Yarn which I love).

3. Only if it's just mechanical stuff; anything in the slightest crude and vulgar, absolutely not. Do you know what the market price of brain bleach is these days!?! (Not to speak of black market prices- it's an arm, a leg, and both of your eyes for a pint of the Hydrogen Peroxide of the River Lethe. Not to mention a potential visit to the netherworld to meet with the supplier, and the ferryman once in a while refuses to let you take the return trip.)

4. I've stalked SF for years, always wanting to contribute, but insisted on keeping a distance between myself and actually posting anything- to avoid being part of social media at all. Ultimately I broke down when I got obsessed one day with getting TearRing Saga on my computer and joined simply to beg for help. I never did get TRS to play despite coming really close at one point (just couldn't get the translation patch to work at said point), but I decided to stick around. Was this a bad decision or a good one? Who knows? But I'm here.

5. Nope, I don't play Heroes. Part of me wants more FE gameplay goodness (the result of me visiting an FE fansite so much), and it is free to play, but part of me is very much turned off by Heroes.

One, as things would have it, the Tellius duo are the games closest to me, and there isn't a lot of that to go around in Heroes.

Two, I have a, perhaps somewhat irrational I admit, dislike for the character redesigns (but I'm fine with the sprites). Official artwork just has a "polish" the freelancer stuff doesn't.

Even if a character has nice artwork and I liked them, I wouldn't care for listening to their little quotes at all. And, because I recognize the chance of getting your favorites is low if they 5-star and I don't want to ever spend real money on the game, my Orb supply would be limited and I'd have to accept me not necessarily getting the chars I want.

Also, I'm not one of those people to use/not use people based on their personalities or appearances. So I wouldn't mind, heck I'd almost welcome, making a team out of anything thrown my way and doing my best with it. But at the same time I'd like to switch it up because I hate monotony and want to use my favorites too! And I'd like to optimize them all and do some other things like a pure healer team (with Lucius if I can). Basically, I'd want to do too much, which would take too long and too much tedium- I'd drop it all a quarter of the way through.

Even with all this said, there is still a little part of me that remains interested in the comings and goings of Heroes. As an iOS/Android game dependent on timed events, it surely has a lot of dynamism for the next couple years, even if it's long term value is naught because of this dependency. It's a game which unlike others, is not made to last forever, but exists for the now alone (it's just me dramatically waxing art philosophic here).

Response:

Spoiler

I. Of the classical Greco-Roman/Indian/Japanese elements- Aether/Akasha/Void is cool being the ultimate 5th element, though a little overrated by virtue of being so dang special. Of the other four, the four more earthly elements, I'd be inclined to say Water at first, but Air is much more interesting, while not so wild as Fire or tame as Earth. So of all 5 elements- Air/Vayu winds out (typo intended).

Of the Chinese elements, which by the way I wouldn't mind FE using for a change over it's usual elements, I'm going to say Wood. Followed by Water, then Metal, then Fire, then Earth (and what is left of Earth when Wood and Metal are taken from them?- though the Chinese "elements" can also be called "phases" and that makes Earth not so bad, maybe better than Fire even).

II. Of the Seven Deadly Sins- Sloth for sure, followed by Gluttony. Of the Seven Heavenly Virtues- I'll say Patience, followed by Humility.

III. I'm one of those fans that started all the way back with Melee. My interest was then spurred on by Nintendo Power- that long dead but beloved video game magazine, which did two walkthrough articles on FE7 (late Lyn Mode and early Eliwood between the two of them), and may have even included a screenshot of FE6 or two I recall seeing shifted Fae in one of them. I got FE7 in an Easter basket in 2004, along with the NP game guide (and I still have that).

IV. When I lurked Gamefaqs long ago, some people mentioned this site, so I hopped onto it. Had to be during its relatively early days since RD wasn't even out yet. I really appreciated the metric tons of information it had on the games released aboard, and it also enlightened me of the rich history of FE prior to FE7. Took years before I discovered the forums though (after Awakening), even so, I loved it just for the information.

V. I guess it's because of my nature, I'm not very sociable, no friends, but I've grown to love humanity in the mass through education, TV, and video games. To draw on a high school moment, I was sitting in gym class listening to a small group of fellow students chatting. One invited me to join in, but I didn't, simply listening to their ordinary human banter from afar was enough for me. This something I later experienced again in college when two young professors happened to be in the same small, quiet room as me for several weeks for the exact same hours on a particular day. In such a situation, I have to be really immersed into something to avoid accidentally eavesdropping. And while it might have been rude, I enjoyed hearing them discuss their normal human existences, as I'm rather hermit-like and don't get to experience or personally see a lot of this kind of stuff. In a sense, I reside in a realm all my own.

I'm into hIstory very much as well (but it didn't truly become my absolute favorite subject until high school- where I flourished in it and read the history textbooks front to back several times long in advance of the class readings). And the observer types tend to be intellectuals, like me. Why, my answers to some of these questions derive their length from a desire to record thoughts and moments of my life somewhere, to make them part of the historical written record for whatever quantum-small meaning and value they may have.

I don't necessarily embrace the neutrality of these observer figures from an ethics perspective, though I can understand it. (And their neutrality isn't always total. In Devil Survivor 2 the Anguished One did spread the Demon Summoning App when he saw Yamato was planning to keep everyone in the dark and remake the world without telling them. But if you side with Yamato, the AO accepts your choice and doesn't throw a hissy fit- he only opposed Yamato denying humankind as a whole a chance at deciding what it's fate would be.)

Sephiran if you count him as an observer, I like because he sees the tragedy of humanity (well the Laguz and Beorc), but sees himself as too weak to stop it. Likewise, I do lament the fate of humanity from time to time and want to help, but acknowledge that I am but one flawed individual unable to change much in the grand scheme of things (I certainly wouldn't approve of the nuclear option though). And because I'm flawed, I know even if I had all the power in the world to change things, it wouldn't necessarily perfectly solve everything.

Hattusili I's Questions:

Spoiler

1. Every FE that has come aboard I've played in the order they were released. I haven't emulated any of the older ones- but hopefully someday I'll have the chance to do that.

2. Unfortunately I speak English alone. I envy the multilingual.

3. I generally can find enjoyment in any era or type of history. Sure, there are topics that interest me less, and others more, but I'm flexible and my tastes are open. That said, I am working towards a World History degree, so I think its fair to say I like the big picture stuff and also cross-civilization interactions.

Part of the reason I pursue history is because it contains pretty much everything in it. There is the history of science, of war, of economics and technology, of ideas, of politics and diplomacy, of race and gender, of culture and society- you name it. I don't necessarily have to choose!

One of my favorite works that I've kept from college which embodies this total embrace of the aspects of human history is The Pursuit of Glory: The Five Revolutions that Made Modern Europe: 1648-1815. Within that timeframe 700 pages and five sections, it gives you a splendidly well written overview of Europe in all its facets. From English horse racing to the god awful roads which covered Europe, and the Dutch economic Golden Age. The birth of the novel, the Enlightenment and the origins of Romanticism alike, palace and church architecture, court life and the absurd amounts of hunting it involved (shall I cite statistics?). The three wars of Louis XIV, the wars of Frederick and Peter the Greats, and of course the Napoleonic Wars too. The deaths of Louis XVI and Charles I, the author's defense of the Holy Roman Empire as being less than a fossil ready that couldn't die too soon, the ideas of The State, The Nation, and The People. So much, but so, so good.

The Gunpowder Age: China, Military Innovation, and the Rise of the West in World History covers Chinese gunpowder weaponry development, and contextualizes it with developments in Europe from the birth of the substance in China through to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It's one topic, with a primary focus on one particular country, but putting things in the greater context adds so much to understanding developments in both Chinese and European histories.

4. Law can be interesting, but I don't particularly pursue it or anything. I did have a Law and American Society class once, which was rather good and gave me some awareness of how the law shapes society and is shaped by it. I work to be a layfolk in all, able to make small talk at a hypothetical cocktail party with a specialist in anything and show a receptiveness to their field.

5. I mentioned this in one of the forum games a while ago, here is what I wrote just to save myself the effort of having to retype it all:

When I played Devil Survivor 2, I was fascinated by Alcor/Al Saiduq/the Anguished One, who for millennia had been watching humanity grow and develop, taking in the beauty of it all from a place beyond the human world. Around the same time, I played Radiant Historia, and I became fond of Lippti and Teo- the twins who reside in the place between the various timelines- Historia. Here they can offer advice to the time-traversing users of the White and Black Chronicles, but they cannot directly interfere or say too much (at one point they try to tell Stocke something important, but magic momentarily paralyzes them for their indiscretion). I've been considering changing my avi to Teo at some point actually. These are the main two sources of my inspiration.

Basically I want to be these characters and those like them in other video games. I deeply wish I could be like Alcor and watch humanity in all its intensity from a distance for a very long time.

Kokoro's Questions:

Spoiler

1.a. From the ribbon on the horn (they're not quite expected, but they break up the rotundity of things) I guess it's female. Sweet but a little worried in personality; the shade of green in contrast with the white also makes it a bit tropical and fruity looking.

1.b. The hat says Chinese, the expression is a little more bold and says male, the blue works well with the hat.

1.c. As long as someone isn't being bothersome, I'm generally nice with them. I don't hop into that many of the FFtF topics beyond the forum games from time to time, and this particular topic this time, so I can't say I've seen that much of you though.

2. I don't really have that many people to have boundaries with. I generally maintain fairly amicable behaviors, if a little antisocial or socially awkward with those not so close. I'm not a cold stoic loner or anything, I recognize the need for human contact and interaction, the instinct just isn't as potent or developed in me as it is in others I think.

3. When in places where I may have to sit next to strangers, I generally like to maintain an empty space of at least 1 seat between me and them- doesn't matter who they are, I just do. My thoughts and emotions I generally keep to myself, but not completely.

Rex Glacies:

Spoiler

VI: See Hattusili I no. 3. Tell me if that answers the history aspect of your question.

As for mythology, I really haven't delved into too much of anything, though eventually I want to read a number of the great religious/mythological texts, ideally with heavy scholarly annotations, particularly for some of the larger texts like the Iliad and the Odyssey, the Pali Canon, and the Tanakh (Jewish name for the Old Testament- I want to read the OT as the Tanakh b/c I'd have the whole New Testament for Christianity, I need to give the Judaism its own moment without any Christian influence). I have read Dante's Inferno, Le Morte D'Arthur, and the Lotus Sutra, as well as Frankenstein (Victor Frankenstein makes the FE Fate 1st gen look like the best possible parents- his creation, very much a prodigy and good natured, only turned savage because his master disowned him and left him with an appearance that scares the living daylights out of human beings).

VII: In terms of a physical scenario, definitely flight- I'm too pathetic physically to even remotely consider fight. And for arguments, well if it's the usual stuff that gets people into arguments- divisive social, economic, and political issues- you can't really win so flee and avoid creating a nightmare- barring with close friends and family who won't be totally against you afterwards.

VIII: I used to like to say I like Winter- but here's the thing, I liked the Winter and the snow, but this was coming from someone who didn't really have to deal with the negative effects of it. Now, two days after it has fallen, snow loses it's sparkling luster and has turned to ice, and all I'm left with is a dark cold season. Spring is a much better season- not too hot like Summer, not indicative of a decline into darkness and chill like Fall.

IX: Didn't know prior to you speaking of it. Doing a free online exam, I came out as ISTP. The results showed a clear strong Introversion, but everything else was with 10% of the opposite. A second test I took (unfortunately looking at someone else's response to a post of mine on SF led to me losing a bunch of what I was typing) kept the Introversion and Thinking, but changed the other two letters. And I am introverted for sure, and I tend to be a person who likes to think to the point of overthinking too.

X: I try to avoid being arrogant, to avoid being narrow minded. I aim to be tolerant, understanding others' opinions even when I disagree. I also tend towards being moderate in my beliefs, if not practicing moderation in everything I should in reality.

I've been told that modern historians accept a blurriness, or complexity, in things as well, and I like this anti-black-and-white viewpoint. This is not to say I approve of postmodernism's "all is totally relative" critique however. To use an example, if you asked me what caused the American Civil War and wanted a quick answer,  I would say slavery because that was the single biggest cause. But if you didn't mind a longer answer told over a longer time, I'd go on to describe: the growing sectional divide in the US caused by deviating ways of life and economics, tariff policy disputes, the acquisition of the American West as basically upsetting the balance of Slave and Free States, and also the various events and persons of the time. And if someone said "this too helped cause it" so as long as their assertion and argument was clear and backed by empirical evidence, I'd have no problems ceding a place among all the other causes. This preference for blurriness makes historians a little hesitant to give advice, and makes them less than desirable by government agencies who don't wan a lecture, just clear answers.

Reimu Hakurei:

Spoiler

1. Why not? It's a shame they didn't give us a DS3 on the 3DS.

2. Gameplay improvements: The Gun element needs to be added to expand the diversity of physical attackers. Characters that get only 1 elemental resistance from their Fate Events need it upgraded to a null/repel/drain later to make it more relevant. Give each character 1 equippable exclusive skill- like a "Kujou Dance" attack for Hinako and Areadbhar for Io, and a Dragon-something passive for Yamato. A skill that deals good damage using Str and Mag would be useful for dual cannon characters. Normal enemy mobs need to be a bit more durable when faced with the powerful stuff like Holy Dance and Multi-strike. The leaders on the other hand need to be a bit more frail, as it's a bit too rare as is that they ever die and the Vit stat is not so important as a result.

On plot- DS2 was a little weak on the "survivor" feeling compared to DS1, even though the stakes were technically higher, fix that. And if Fate Events return, make them have even a slight impact on the plot. Something like getting Ronaldo to 4 before he fights Makoto would make it so he wouldn't kill her even if you sided with him. Or Makoto at 4 defecting and becoming an allied NPC during the Fumi-Keita-Makoto fight if you chose not to side with Yamato. Just something that shows the characters haven't reverted from their Fate character development.

3. Design-wise, blue-skinned Loki is pretty ideal for what the series is as a whole. Modern like the SMT world, but capturing the essence of his mythos. Plot-wise, you can't best Lucifer in all of his appearances bigger and smaller, I'm saying this as a Neutralite- Masakado sadly has had something of a weak showing by comparison (haven't play SMT II though, and I think he's important there). The Four Devas are cool though, and strangely they were Chaos aligned in SMT I despite them still being the Neutral Masakado's servants.

4. Would embarrassing count as weird? The one embarrassing instance I can think of was in high school in some ancient world history class when we were going over Egypt. The class was divided into groups (each an ancient Egyptian city) and for some reason my group lost some game or something, and we had to circle around the classroom flapping our arms like birds as a result (in reference to the winged mother goddess Isis I think). i refused to play along, but under the class insisted I go along, and I did, but kept my eyes closed out of dislike for the game- that just made things worse with me stumbling into things and ultimately I opened up and went all out with the stupid flapping thing.

5. I kinda drift through life, no real goals set, I work towards nothing in particular. Such makes things feel a little meaningless at times, such as when I think on it, but I cherish life and existence with all my heart even so.

Rezzy:

Spoiler

1. Another swell FE fan in general, relaxed and also a bit older than many on the site. Not great at art, but it's no big deal, it's the care one puts into it which matters really, not the quality (which is still better than whatever I could do.

2. I honestly have few aspirations for life. I just want to live, enjoy it as much as I can, and be a productive member of society. Seeing the world, leaving it a better place for future generations, developing myself in full as an individual are all nice ideas, but I have no real plans made.

3. I'd make a terrible parent, I can't ever see myself having kids. I'm not quite independent yet (I just need the will to make it happen). Also, to be a good parent, I'd want to get married, and whether I ever would is very much in doubt.

4. I'm not sure if I really have ever played a game that is that unpopular, but Codename S.T.E.A.M would be one I guess. It is a solid strategy game, and one can get used to the aesthetics pretty easily, they're different and not in a bad way. Sure there could be tweaks to the gameplay, but what game couldn't do without some?

5. I came to enjoy One Winged Angel, but FFVII just didn't click with me that much neither in plot nor gameplay. I didn't play it until I got a PS3, so it was long after the game's heyday, which probably explains a lot of it.

Similarly, Suikoden II is much better than the original, the beginning and Luca Blight were very good, and Luca's death was masterfully executed (wordplay intended). But I felt the gameplay to be lacking, and the plot to have some issues with things like Neclord, Greenhill school days, and Shu's perfection.

Do you actually spend time devoted to making up amusing/witty retorts for people to put on our sig/about me page? I have at least two quotes from you waiting for me to get around to updating my about me page now and I doubt they'll be the last.

What was your least favorite FE character and why?

How exactly do you go about choosing a favorite FE character or playstyle for a game?(You could also extend this to non-FE games)

What is it that usually gets your attention about a game/gets you willing to try a game?

What fighting games do you play, if any, and who would your mains be in said games?

4. What SMT games have you played?

My first was Devil Survivor, though I sold it before I finished because it was too dark I felt for me at the time. Then a few years later I bought DSO and loved it (and the addition of a compendium- made fusion much easier). After that it was DS2, followed by IV, I iOS version, Nocturne, DDS1, Soul Hackers, and I have DDS2 ready for when I finish Raidou 1, and when SJ is done I'll buy IV: Apo.

5. Which game franchise do you play?

A little Warriors, Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem, Etrian Odyssey, Final Fantasy (including Bravely), the Xeno games, I'm thinking I'll get into DQ as well. Pokemon I used to love, but it lost its charm for me, and Rune Factory I never completed 2, 3, or ToD despite having them all, so I skipped 4.

6. Branching from #5, which is/are your favourite(s)?

Currently, I say Mario, SMT, and FE.

7. What languages do you know?

Only English, I wish I knew more.

8. Which languages do you want to learn?

Well being a slight Japanophile via video games, Japanese would be nice if I were to dedicate myself to learning another language (Chinese wouldn't be bad either).  For something less intimidating, Arabic would be another choice of mine- I like the calligraphy. My first choice for a European language, Spanish because it's the most widely spoken around the world.

1. Opinions of the following:

a. Getoutoftherecat

I'm more of a dog person, but cats are indeed better suited for certain kinds of pics, such those found said webpage you failed to hyperlink here, but which I figured via other means. Cats have a certain pompousness, cunning, and innocent-not-really-innocent curiosity that dogs lack, and they bring that 'tude in the spades.

b. Meow Wow

Not loving the blue on this one, but the other colors contrast with it, and it still looks better than the other variants.

c. Flowbermeow

The white variant is okay- it's different, but the magenta variant is great.

d. Meowjesty

When I saw this word, I thought this. (Don't know if you've played Bravely Second or not, but I think you'd approve of a Catmancer class which uses cat food to fuel attacks borrowed from monsters, and is great at wielding axes for some reason.)

The color scheme works and makes it look intimidating, and the crown for some reason makes me think of gambling. A cat casino anyone?

e. Catanuki

Tanuki, yay! Looks a little bit dumb, but it's a cute dumb, and doesn't have overly realistic anatomy- which makes real tanukis a little well, out there.

2. Favorite Rotom forme?

I'll say Wash in terms of looks and possibly gameplay. Frost would make the best buddy.

3. Favorite Eevee evolution?

In the past, I'd say Espeon or Jolteon, but now I'm shifting towards Vaporeon for some reason.

4. Have you played Hyrule Warriors/Legends?

The Wii U version. Bought the non Legends DLC. Loved the game and would enjoy a sequel. Young Link is probably favorite character.

5. Should General Tso be impeached?

Not bad. :^_^: It left a familiar taste in my mouth, I can't quite describe it, but I guess the taste was just like- *shot for making an obvious joke.*

As for the question, no. Tso's no chicken because he fried and made a chick filet out of Hong Xiuquan. A.k.a. the 19th century cultist leader guy who thought he was Jesus's little brother and somehow resulted in the deadliest civil war in human history, killing about 20-30 million Chinese. Tso is a little nugget of awesomeness for that reason.

XI. Recalling a topic made a few months ago on Xenoblade Chronicles X, I saw that you had knowledge of Gnosticism. Opinions/thoughts on it?

The mythos is interesting and I see why games like to borrow from it, but I think they could do more with the aeons instead of just the Demiurge, Sophia, and Monad stuff. The Gnostic "movement" of the early centuries AD is fascinating in the sense it shows a road not taken by Christianity and Western Civilization. However, the mysticism and esotericism of Gnosticism and its antimaterialism are all impediments to me simply loving it. Mysticism is a out there and beyond the masses, and quite understandably that might have killed it.

XII. Do you live in a rural, urban, or suburban area, or a combination?

Suburban.

XIII. Which do you prefer of the areas above?

Rural is too open and empty, the city is too gray and bleak. I'd like to visit them both for things to do, but suburban for all it's drabness is the best for living.

XIV. Time or money?

Time, it is irreplaceable. Money is nice, but there is a lot of good things out there that are cheap or free.

XV. As it is not listed, favorite Fire Emblem?

I don't list one partly because I can't decide, partly because I don't want to be overly associated with one. This said, it'll either be RD or PoR, Tellius basically. RD's plot is better, the music too, and the world is more enriched, but since PoR has full supports and lacks the availability issues of RD, it is better in gameplay and characters overall (though RD does plenty of good chapters and some decent characterization). Being more a gameplay person, I'll say PoR.

Do you actually spend time devoted to making up amusing/witty retorts for people to put on our sig/about me page? I have at least two quotes from you waiting for me to get around to updating my about me page now and I doubt they'll be the last.

That Roy's absence from Brawl thing was something I had thought of years ago, I just felt like getting that out there at that moment for funsies. Though I did add on the spot the later addition of how he got back into Smash 4, on top of a little refinement of the earlier stuff. The Hyrule Goddesses being the Whitewings was similarly thought of years ago, and I just felt that was the moment to toss it around (though oddly I'm a Palla fan despite being Nayru devotee). My little Tellius tangent Bridal Banner story was completely made up on the spot though, none of that was preplanned, the same for my "the Fates kids turn betray their parents" story. When I decide to be irreverent with a post, I sometimes like to take my time and go all out.

What was your least favorite FE character and why?

Least favorite, Ilyana is bad because she is so one-note (and it isn't always funny- often it falls plain flat), when she could have been better being a member of the convoy group. I like Muston, Aimee, Daniel and Jorge (I just realized we have a Jeorge and a Jorge- weird, though better than the double Arthur plus Artur and the two Selenas). She doesn't at all seem connected to the merry traveling band of Telliusian suppliers she is in fact a member of, she mentions them not at all in her supports really. And it seems odd that the band would just drag along this girl they never truly interacted with. IS could have kept Ilyana's hunger and frailty, but toned it down and not made it every sentence that comes out her mouth. And then added some stuff like she's an orphan and treats Aimee like a mother, Muston a father, and the twins like brothers, though it doesn't have to be exactly that, just something to make her seem more human and less a human body controlled by a tapeworm (or she's a Kirby Branded).

How exactly do you go about choosing a favorite FE character or playstyle for a game?(You could also extend this to non-FE games)

If it involves massive amounts of tedious grinding, I generally don't do that playstyle for a game. I try not to break things, but I will use some exploits to save time and don't mind a moderate or painless grind (like in Bravely Second). For favorite characters, I look for some nuance, but at the same time don't demand development by the bucketloads, I'm fine with characters who get by on charm with just a little development.

What is it that usually gets your attention about a game/gets you willing to try a game?

Good reviews, great gameplay that doesn't require great reflexes all the time, nice aesthetics, flexible difficulty, a solid demo, and if I can get it cheap that makes it all the better.

What fighting games do you play, if any, and who would your mains be in said games?

I'm not very good at fighting games, I tried SFIV from the Nintendo Indies Humble Bundle they did last year- I was very bad I could tell from the first moment. I play some Smash, but never competitive. I don't main chars because that gets to be boring, I like switching it up too much.

Are they not a fine specimen?

Indeed. And remember, true beauty is ageless and transcends flesh and silicon alike. Which is why we should all just upload our consciousnesses and live in a virtual world- humanity alongside AI and nobody would ever know the difference.

7. Bread or rice?

Bread.

8. Salt or pepper?

Salt is essential for human water retention and proper thyroid functioning. However if given the choice to add more of one or the other to food for the sake of pleasure alone, it'll be pepper for me, I like the kick. Sometimes I add too much, and an insufficiently crushed peppercorn will wedge itself in my mouth, filling it with a gentle but felt background heat which endures through the remainder of the meal and sometime thereafter. (Chiles by comparison are for the unsophisticated with their scorchingly raw heat.)

Pepper is a romance that endures over the decades. Chiles are a Tinder fling, and just as liable to end with a bad burning sensation if not handled with caution. (Remember, when eating particularly hot chiles like habaneros and ghost peppers to wash your hands (if you didn't use utensils) and around your mouth thoroughly when done, and not to touch any part of your body and particularly sensitive ones until then, or you risk spreading the capsaicin to them, resulting in terrible agony.) Salt is same old same old, the usualness of it is subtly welcomed, but dull and lacking much excitement. Which is why you marry Salt, make Pepper thy lone mistress, and secretly head to the club once in a while for fun with Khile (because a K instead of a C makes everything more exotic).

9. Lemons or limes?

Lemons. If served a glass of water with a lemon slice in it at a restaurant squeeze the heck out of the lemon and then dump it into the water (and if you have a lemon wedge you don't want- I'll take it!). I also sometimes drink fairly sour lemonade slowly, like it's a shot of booze or expresso.

10. What will it take for me to get you into heroes?

Send me lots of money- ideally in untraceable BitCoins and above all else not Zimbabwean Dollars.

I'll get into it eventually I think, not sure when exactly, but I think I will. Let's say I'm just waiting for more summonable fish to come swimming into the sea, though perhaps I should join now just for the free login orbs or something even if I don't play.

* If you could have participated in any battle in the FE series, which one would you have fought on?

Probably River Crossing (Part 3, Chapter 3 from Radiant Dawn). I just love the feeling of a real and dynamic war that early Part 3 RD gives off, and River Crossing is the pinnacle of this saga.

** If you were a character in FE: Fates, who would be  your A+ and S supports?

Don't really know. But I guess Leo for the former, as for the latter... I'll just take the cheap way out and friendzone somebody (it happens in many of the Kana supports after all).

*** If you were a character in Fates, what would your personal skill be?

Stumbling Intellect: Increases magical damage dealt by 4, but lowers hit and evade by 10 (including with physical attacks).

#* What is your favorite skill in FE? Can you pull it off in real life?

I'll just say the old classic we haven't been seeing at all lately (well we have sorta, but not exactly)- Adept. And I guess I could pull that off, as ordinary as it is.

##* Do you like what IS has been doing with the FE series lately? (Awakening onwards)

I don't necessarily mind it. As long as the gameplay stays strong, which Conquest proved, I'll continue playing the series. There has been some excess with character designs and personalities, and the plots haven't been that good, but I can bear with these.

i* Would you play a VR FE game?

Hard to imagine how it'd work, given FE is a SRPG and VR is not really conducive to that. But as long as it serious and not something like "Bubble Baths of Bonds", I'd be willing to try it out.

ii* Would you romance any of the Serenes members if they where characters in an FE game like Fates?

No, I just wouldn't.

> If some one made a movie about your life, would you place restrictions on what parts of your life they could talk about?

No, for the sake of history I would let even those I'd rather not include be included, for who knows if they're of any value to someone else.

>> If you could chose three books or songs that are representative of you to give to some one else so they can get an idea about you, which would you pick?

I don't listen to much lyrical music, nor do I read that many books, or can think of those which would capture me. Though I'd guess I'd say Brave New World for a book, and throw in an issue of the old gaming magazine Nintendo Power, and an issue of AramcoWorld. A copy of the play Hamlet wouldn't be bad either.

>>> If you would write a message on the moon for everybody here in earth to see, what would it be?

Don't want it to be too artsy, nor too cheesy. Something hopeful- but I don't want anything too sad. I can't actually think of what I'd want it to be though. Just something which would help humanity get through this world.

*> if you could give any advice a 5 years-younger version of yourself, what would it be?

Muster the willpower and try to actively plan your life for once!

**> What social construct do you dislike most or like the least?

Not quite sure which. I can't say there is any I personally loathe.

***> What does SF mean to you?

Some casual madness and frivolity, and some serious informed FE discussion.

#> What other dimensions do you take active observations in?

In terms of forums, none. In terms of interests, well I watch a little news, enjoy history, play plenty of video games, and hit up museums and the like. In terms of actual dimensions- well, I can't speak of them right now. But there is one where Leo is currently performing in the Nohrian Rockettes after his beloved Odin begged him to join in, and Forrest made the outfits while his sis Ophelia did the stage design. The same dimension saw Mikoto marry M!Corrin b/c they're not actually related and causing Takumi to go evil due to his love towards Mikoto. And Azura speaking in a code of tropical fruit told Xander and Ryoma about Valla and Anankos without invoking the Valla Curse, after which Xander immediately chopped his fake dad's head off and then joined Ryoma in destroying good old Ananny via performing Riverdance on his head to the sound of US country music.

6. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Wherever would be fine if I had a private jet. Otherwise, somewhere ideally where I can get all four seasons, or at least be able to visit a place nearby that gets them. Having access to the ocean or a large body of water would be great, but it'd be a mostly psychological thing. Of course I'd want a first world corruption-free and efficient government, and a stable economy with all modern amenities. The UK wouldn't be a bad choice, nor Germany or Austria. And in the US, I don't want to say California, but I have to admit it's so heavily populated for a reason, and Pennsylvania would be almost ideal on the eastern side of the country. I might be overthinking things.

7. If you were a ruler, would you be an active ruler (pursuing your own policies first) or a passive ruler (responding to developments first)?

Hmm... Nobody wants to the latter, but in reality, you have to acknowledge you can't just go out and expect to get your program done without interruptions.

8. Legal positivism (law before justice) or legal naturalism (justice before law)?

So addressing human grievances before the importance of staying in the rule of law, or maintaining the normal rule of law over addressing human grievances? Right now, I think I'd say the former, but it isn't easy.

9. Forgiveness or retribution?

Forgiveness.

10. First and current impressions of me?

Nice to see another person with an interest in history. I know Smithsonian Channel has a good ~2 hour documentary on the Hittites just to mention that. And hey constitutional law is hardly unimportant given it's the very foundation of countries, and without which arbitrary tyranny is allowed to arise. I do have two copies of the US Constitution laying around (and I have been to the US National Archives). Though lawyers can sometimes be seen as scum, and judges as too aloof, it's to a degree necessary to maintain the rule of law and thus defend justice in the long run.

So yeah, you're fairly likable my fellow SFer.
