And what's more, thanks to the efforts of the Fire Emblem hacking community, we can finally play it on Gameboy Advance! I am so excited! I'm gonna go with Hard Mode. I hear all it does is change the AI a little and FE4 is super easy already, so I'll take the extra challenge. For those of you unfamiliar with this game, in FE4 we follow the adventures of Sigroyd, the most powerful lord in the series, as he stomps across the continent. Uh-oh, looks like there's bandits on the loose! This maniac already getting started on this village, but thankfully we do have like 8 turns to save them before they're fully burned down. FE4 is generous like that. Let's see what our hero Sigroyd has to say about this! Milord, bandits have laid siege on the villages and taken the castle! We should mobilize our troops to defend the area against this savage attack! Thank you, Cuan. I'm glad you came here to help me out with this. You're a real bro-in-law. Wait, what? My name is Marcus, your most loyal knight... Haha, good one. Now, watch as I take on all of these idiots by myself. Milord, I cannot permit this! Your sick father would never forgive us...it would be too much of a risk! Let me just carry you to the gate, so we can finish this quickly! Carry? It's the standard strategy. We can be done within five turns! I have no clue what you're on about, Cuan... It's Marcus. ...but I have a better idea. Who wants to die first? ...I'm getting too old for this. Milord, can I persuade you to at least take the help of the Pheraen knights then? You mean the Chalphy Chumps? This Alec guy looks cool, but he's too weak. Noish can't even double attack. I can double attack!!!! Go defend the castle, Ardan. I don't even know who this girl is. Weren't you on a horse last time I saw you? I'm a dude, I swear! I can see your mind is made up, young master. Just let me accompany you then. No way, dude. You'll just take a bunch of damage due to your weapon triangle disadvantage! I can use sw... Lance, trade me your sword! Trade? We're in Fire Emblem 4. I've never heard of no fancy schmancy thing like Trade before. What's "Trade"? Maybe he means selling it to the pawn shop and then having someone else buy it. Well, without a castle, we just can't do that. Just...come here. I'm not seeing it. ... Hey, while you girls were talking, they've already burned down 5000 worth of my precious gold! So if you don't mind, I'm out of here to kick some butt. Ow, yeah! Ouch! Milord, if you are hurt, please drink a vulnerary to heal your injuries! This man just keeps talking nonsense. We simple folks in FE4 ain't never heard of no "vulnerary" thing! It's alright, guys, these silly axe users can't touch me. After all, look at how slow they are due to the weight of their axes! Their constitution is supposed to make up for that! What's this fancy con- ... How about you guys make yourself useful by saving that village instead? Don't you want the money? Nah, it's fine, I got my allowance yesterday. Milord, I know this might sound strange coming from me but...couldn't we have put the experience to better use on units who gain more per battle? Cuan, did my sister hit you on the head or something? You say the strangest things. Anyway, I think we're about done here. Wow, haven't been able to do that before. So yeah, hope you are enjoying my playthrough of FE4. It's kind of imbalanced, but that's the fun of it. Swords are very light... Lances not so much. Javelins blow. I'm liking the big maps though!
