CooledEvergreen
Call me mainstream thrash but these are my two favorite atm: I listen to video game music as well. This one has been pretty catchy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkycMngIJvk&nohtml5=False

Anacybele
I seem to prefer 90s and before that music. I never actually listened to a lot because I always preferred video game music over bands and singers and stuff, but I think my top three would be these. One of them was one of the biggest hits of the group that made it too, no surprise to me there. ^^ (yeah, I know the video itself is kinda weird lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ateQQc-AgEM (can you tell where I know this song from? XD) (you wouldn't believe where I first discovered this beauty. Or...maybe you would. lol) Oh yeah, honorable mentions: "I'm a Believer" - The Monkeys "Ring of Fire" - Johnny Cash "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" - Actually dunno, I just know it's from the 50s or something like that "Happy Together" - The Turtles (I named an Awakening short fic this cuz of the song. ^^) "I Want it That Way" - The Backstreet Boys "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" - The Backstreet Boys (they're the only group I could ever call my favorite, I actually liked a lot of their music and still do) "Carry On Wayward Son" - Kansas "All Star" - Smash Smouth (they also did a cover of "I'm a Believer"!) Pretty much anything by Kelly Clarkson, she rocks. And I'm a Kelly too, how bout that? ^^ And lots of Disney. Lots of it. Blue Druid
I've always felt you could never peg a favorite song... No, but you can pick one! Yeah, true dat, my friend. Even I had to choose 2 rather than 1. I was also considering this one. A couple of mine I love jazz. Nice... I like your tastes, my friend. Here's one of my favourite jazz tunes. i like music as i said before in the top 50/1000 albums thread, my mood and taste changes a lot so i'll usually have different favorites depending on what i'm feeling, but these two songs will always be favorites of mine. <3 Nice! What genre are these? I'm going to bet atmospheric doom metal, maybe sludge? Edited April 10, 2016 by Blue Druid
Anacybele
I know, right? It was hard for me to pick the three I posted over the bunch of Disney music I love. :P I should probably post some of that Disney music anyway just because it's that good to me. Raven
This is one of the more recent songs I've heard and can't get enough of: It's used as one of the pick/ban phase themes in the LCS (LoL pro league), which is how I came to hear it initially. With regards to old favourites, I'd have to say it's Breaking The Habit. I first heard and saw this whilst flicking through the various music channels on TV. After hearing it, I knew I had to go out and get it for myself. My first music album at 13/14 years old, Meteora. I'd heard of Linkin Park before because In The End was a massive hit in the UK a few years earlier, but this song is what made me actually get to a music shop in town and pick it up for myself. No regrets, that album had many other songs I still enjoy listening to. Because of this, I got to hear more of their music - new and old. Phoenix Wright
it's been bob dylan's "all along the watchtower" for a number of years. i don't think jimi's is better, but it's good.
