Everyone in my family is clumsy; I'd say I usually do the stepping, but actually both my husband and daughter both stepped on my foot most recently. It's an accident; whatever.

sometimes I do

pokemon probably provides the most examples of me erasing game data so I can get a fresh new start (at least, after sending pokemon I care about to another game)

Sometimes for some games.

Like, in Pokemon, I might if I can trade Pokemon to another game in that generation.

When there's multiple save slots, I'm willing to delete some data if it was sort of a test slot or if I'm done with it.

However, games that are exceptionally long (like Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles X), and games that let you replay the levels and/or have minimal story (like Mario and Kid Icarus Uprising) will always stay and probably won't be intentionally deleted.
