Here's a list of some changes I plan to make. -All Character names and some location names given by Awakening -Made some Characters' names ACTUAL names -Basically modernizing names in general -With knowledge of the entire story, I can attempt to write a script for the story. Dialogue, anyway. Alright, so, those name changes... Alm's Party -------------- Alm (Official) Robin Gray ---> Grayson Cliff/Qulyf (<---What even is this name?) ---> Cliff Luka/Ruka ---> Luka Silk ---> Silke Clair/Clea ---> Claire (Official) Cleive ---> Clive (Official) Python/Paison ---> Paul (Goes by the codename Python) Force/Fols ---> Felix Ryuto ---> Luthier (Official) Matilda/Machilda ---> Matilda Dyute/Dute ---> Dyute Teeta Zeke/Zeak (<---Bruh.) ---> Zeke Mycen/Maisen ---> Mycen (Official)Celica's Party----------------- Celica (Official) May/Mae ---> May Boey (Official) Jenny Saber/Sevr/Savor ---> Sergio Valbo ---> Valbar (Official) Kamui ---> Chadwin Leo ---> Leon Palla (Official) Catria (Official) Atlas Jesse/Jesey/Jessie ---> Jesse Sonia/Sonya ---> Sonia Dean ---> Deen (Official) Est (Official) Noma ---> Nomah (Official) ------------------------------------ Okay, so, now you're probably sitting there, thinking, "What are these names?" I did my research with my name changes, sans the official ones. Those wondering where I got Chadwin from... Kamui is a Japanese name meaning "Divine". Chadwin is a Welsh name meaning "Divine". There. I chose Leon because in terms of how the name sounds... Leon > Leo. Sergio? Sergio's an Italian name meaning "Attendant". A subtle nod, in my opinion, since Sergio visits the bar very frequently. Diffuse Posted August 28, 2016 Share Posted August 28, 2016 I'm quite liking a lot of those names (Kamui ---> Chadwin is brilliant)! There are some that still doesn't sound quite right to me though: Robin - I'd go with Reuben or Rupert, to prevent overlap with FE13!Robin. While I guess you could take the presence of three different Arthurs as precedence for name overlap, none of those were as prominent in their respective games as FE13!Robin. Teeta - I think the spelling Tita looks a lot more natural. There's also a part of me that really want's to rename this character to Teuta, though I'm not quite sure why. Zeke - Sounds kind of SciFi-ish to me, and I feel that it doesn't really fit Camus, nor the medieval tone of the game. I've long had this thought that if I where to localise Gaiden, then Zeke ---> Albert. Dyute - I'd go with Diute, since that is an actual name (albeit a surname). Alteranively, I just found out that "Ziek" is also an actual name, with the same origin as "Zeke" (both are short forms of "Ezekiel"). Diute actually looks better! Thanks! You're welcome! I didn't mean to be too condescending, I'm just suggesting on giving your input to Gaiden Guy's thread as they've already gone through a lot of trial-and-error into hacking in the ROM and decompiling/fitting text characters that will save you a lot of time. I also had Robin as Lark, another type of bird, to avoid overlap with Awakening!Robin. Also, Gray is a real name just by itself. It didn't look like the other patch had any concrete plans for name changes beyond the official ones from Awakening. Maybe you should team up. Awakening!Robin should be sued for copycat, not the opposite. Except Awakening!Robin is called "Rufure" in the Japanese version.
