FE8 Auction, bid turn-count handicaps experiment

More generally, in a n player, 2nd price spiteful auction with spite coefficient alpha (meaning that your utility = (1-alpha)*your profit-alpha*(sum of other player's profit)),

In a zero sum context, since everyone profiting by 1 is equivalent to everyone profiting by 0, we have (1-a)x1 - a(n-1) = 0, so a = 1/n. In which case your expression for X becomes X=1-(1-F)^n.

Anyway, do you see any big problem with what I have now ruadath? I'm about ready to roll out another thread I think.
