Chen Posted November 5, 2016 Share Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) knytt is a short freeware exploration-based platformer developed by niffla. today i finished playing it. it's not a particularly hard game but i had a few moments where i went "where do i find this?" only to go "oh, you only needed to jump onto the clouds from the other side? alright then" you can probably finish this in under an hour or two. the atmosphere in the game is absolutely amazing and the sequel, knytt stories (with player created levels!!), doesn't disappoint either. what other game has an option to alter the ambience? the window size is incredibly small but i'm not complaining. even though you can't interact with them, there are tiny walking characters that are infintely cute i would recommend this game, please play it and post results Edited January 22, 2017 by Chen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Chen Posted November 12, 2016 Author Share Posted November 12, 2016 demon is a pretty cool roguelike game that blends traditional roguelike gameplay with shin megami tensei-like mechanics experience: - rng based negotiations - trying to get a demon to join you, but fucking up and almost dying - getting ambushed by demons if you're not careful! - Death - being unprepared for negotiations - demons getting angry at you for killing their friends - demon fusion, also solid game. i'm pretty awful at it but you'll probably enjoy it if you have lots of experience with roguelikes my personal favorite class and easiest to play is vodun mask Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The nostalgia. <3 That game where a random NPC might respond to a random low-level slime equivalent spawning in front of him with leveling an entire town by literally summoning Ragnarök! It's pretty hilarious and sometimes just utterly insane in the best ways possible.
