If I don't use him on a map and one of my units acquires an item at full capacity and is forced to drop an item, does that item drop and goes away or is it dent to Merlinus even though he is not in map? Especially after hearing how Kynim on tumblr is using Merlinus to bait enemies into attacking him and sparing weaker units in 7, lol.
