Took a while, but it finally hit me.

I'm upset... but damn, haha.

I can't help but laugh how dumb the system is.

Here's the video:

The copyright claim is on the song at 5:38.

By HorusMusic for a song named "Ballad to Hope".

And any of you Bravely Default players know that's a load of bullshit.

It's "Serpent Eating the Ground".

After some googling, I found this:

http://www.emusic.com/album/bravely-band/album-bravely/17085987/

A literal album of pirated Bravely Default songs.

Being used... in the content ID system to get money from the Bravely Default Soundtrack.

Just... wow.

Even if I try to dispute it, I can't dispute that they're the copyright holders.

The Youtube copyright system sucks so badly.

I thought for a split second the claimant said my name. I'm sorry, dude, I don't know how it feels, nor will I probably know, but that has to really suck. I honestly don't know what else to say, but hopefully this cloud has a sort of silver lining to it/

Yeah, that's a double screw-up by the system. First it's not even legally owned by them, and second it's fair use, since it's a transformative use of the original item in question.

Really, unless you're just uploading direct episodes of shows or something, 90% of copyright claims are BS.

I personally think the Fair Use on my part isn't really that... err... proper.

I mean I synced the video to go with the flow of it... but it's slapping a Bravely Default song on an Awakening video.

Not really that transformative.

The only thing I know is that Revo, the composer doesn't go after game footage using the music.

If they're pirating the music, can't you let Square-Enix know about this?

So they're not just pirating the music, but also selling it?

I'm pretty neutral towards pirating music normally, but selling it pretty much crosses the line everywhere.
