Augestein is correct that you need to play through FE7 six times to get all of the artwork (by pairing up the main lord with each of his potential wives and completing each game). Technically you need seven, since one of the pictures requires the main lord not to be paired up with one of his potential wives, but if you set it up right, all you have to do is replay the final chapter to get both it and one of the other six.

However, if you don't care about the artwork, it is possible to unlock 100% Support Conversations in as few as two playthroughs of FE7. You need to recruit Wallace and Harken in one of those playthroughs, and the other playthrough has to be either HNM or HHM in which you recruit Geitz, Karel, and Karla.

Hmm... we can add to the fe7 part too. if on Eliwood mode we support say Lyn and Fiora to b, we can get the a rank on the final chapter. So with three resets, we can get 3 artwork sets. Another plaony through could be done for ninian. However, on the ninian playthrough, do the other person before ninian. On eliwood playthroughs, Hector can go for a supports that don't give artwork. On Hector mode, we can get do what we did for Hector with eliwood. So we need 2 playthroughs to get 4 arts. Make sure you use bartre in at least one Hector playthrough to get Karla. Also get Karel when you get Karla the first time.

If you want, I can dig up my FE7 (and FE8 if you also want it) save file with all CGs and Support Conversations obtained and give it to you. That's allowed, according to SF rules, right?

Otherwise, Paper Jam and Augestein pretty much covered everything.

Keep in mind, though, that Ninian can't be deployed after "Cog of Destiny" (chapter 27 of Eliwood's tale), so she and Eliwood need to have A support by the end of chapter 27 to get the Eliwood/Ninian ending art.

So if you want to maximize the Eliwood's tale ending art in as few playthroughs as possible, one would require you to have Eliwood-Ninian A support going into the final chapter (thus preventing you from getting any other ending art) and the other would require Eliwood to have C or B support with Lyn, Fiora, and nobody else.

On eliwood playthroughs, Hector can go for a supports that don't give artwork.

You can go for supports that don't give artwork anyway. For example, you can start getting Hector's supports with Eliwood and Oswin in chapter 12 (making sure not to overwrite the chapter 12 save), get one of them up to A in chapter 13x, restart chapter 13x, get the other up to A, and go back to the chapter 12 save, and even though the Hector-Eliwood and Hector-Oswin supports will be logged, the Supports won't apply to the playthrough; so Hector can build up his supports with everybody else later.

The same applies to every character (though not necessarily in those chapters), which is why it's possible to get all of the Supports (though not all of the artwork) in just two playthroughs.

Yeah, it just makes it easier though. For instance,

playthrough 1:

Eliwood has B Lyndis and B Fiora. Max either or on the final chapter. Hector can do the same with say... Matthew and Serra. This is the best time to get Eliwood's "not paired" artwork.

Playthrough 2:

Eliwood (let's say EHM) Eliwood goes B Eliwood B Ninian, and then scratches his A Eliwood and resets to get A Ninian. Hector goes for Oswin and A Eliwood.

Playthrough 3:

Hector: Gets Florina B and Lyndis B for final chapter. Maxes A for both in two plays through and does none, and then you have Lyndis. I'd recommend supporting the two girls for A rank here and get that out of the way now since they will be near Hector a lot anyways. Eliwood can pretty much go for anyone at this point as he doesn't need Lyndis, and all that's left is Lowen, Harken, and Marcus.

Playthrough 4: Hector goes for Farina, the last one left. Eliwood has been done since Playthrough 3, and Lyndis can pick up everyone else now that she's free from Eliwood and Hector if you haven't used her.

That should cover it more clearly now.
