nightgale
I am going back to a Fire Emblem 7 mod that I started working on a while back. Though, I am beginning to get worried about free space and inserting maps and events on top of on top of important stuff. Is there a source that lists off important free space blocks that can be used? I am creating a new alternative map for Crazed Beast. Hypothetically, if the map size is identical, could I overwrite the existing map at 366D04 safely using Tiled. There are 4 village tile changes on the map too. I know Crazed Beast only has one. Would that screw everything up? Similarly, what is the risk of assembling over an existing chapter as long as you do not venture past the end-of-chapter offset? Is there a source that lists off important free space blocks that can be used?

Master Thunderblade
I'm not that well versed when it comes to FE ROM hacking... But you might want to check out the following video tutorial: In the video they repointed the item data table, but I assume you could repoint any data table you like. Keep in mind that I haven't tested this for myself. And to be honest I probably shouldn't even give advice about this topic since I don't even have the slightest amount of experience. Let's hope I haven't completely missed my mark here... Zane Avernathy
http://feuniverse.us/t/free-space-ranges/112 This is a list of free space ranges. Don't write over existing events or maps, they probably won't be the same size. It's infinitely easier to just put your new stuff at the end of the ROM, especially if you don't know about the size of what you're doing.
