Staves got an upgrade, but daggers were arguably worse (staves have a niche in TTs and CCs and daggers lost their only niche as debuffers to ploy skills). With Fjorn joining through the story, I wouldn't be surprised if Bruno/Zacharias isn't far off as well, which could pave the way for Veronica and other villains.
