Is Midir X Brigid any good

Well, they give similar stats to each with the exception of Skill and Strength: Midir will pass down balanced growths in both, while Jamke thrashes their skill in exchange for a whole lot of Strength. Which is something you actually want to take into account seeing how Faval hit rates with the Ichieval aren't that great to start with.

The main difference between the two is that Midir lets Patty double enemies before promotion (he passes down Pursuit, as well as charge), making it easier to train her; Jamke on the other hand passes down Continue, which will make her more threatening upon promotion but harder to train. What do you want for Patty, an easier start or a better end? Faval doesn't care all that much about skills since he's a player phase unit with default pursuit capable of two-shotting pretty much anything with his Holy Bow. Having Continue from Jamke is something he likes, but having that low of an Accuracy is extremely frustrating.

While Midir/Brigged passes down Pursuit and Charge, Faval only gets Charge (still works for him), while Patty gets both skills. For growths, it's good for speed and skill, but does lave lowish HP, strength and defence to at least some extent in comparison to other pairings (it's not terrible, but not exceptional either). Patty gets no swords unless Midir killed that swordsman boss in Chapter 3, and that's a problem for Patty because a 12 weight sword is not a good equipment choice for a unit with her start. For getting the two together in the first place, while they have a conversation to make it easier, Midir is also likely to be far away unless you purposefully keep them together, making pairing them difficult when they've the last third of G1 to do it in.

The real issue is that Midir gives Pursuit, and Aideen's kids do want that.

You can work with it just fine though to be honest, Jamke/Aideen is still a good pairing, but lacking Pursuit and the low skill is as much of a concern for Lester.

Quick pairing, in fact it's Brigid's only viable LTC pairing. Patty gets pursuit and Midir can pass down rings for her to get a nice amount of gold to pass around so it actually is fairly good for her. Faval gets charge which is alright but he is mostly the same unit.

Midir is actually a good father for Aideen or Brigid once you train him well and promote him. But with Midir the children are more fragile to me. Also the children are much harder to train. However a better match for Brigid is Dew because better stats are passed down to Patty. Also Faval gets Bargain to repair Ichival cheaper and faster. Patty is also a much better fighter and gets sun sword which is actually helpful. Once you get Dew promoted in the first half Patty will have a B rank in swords. I have used Jamke and Aideen before and its a great pairing. However let arden get the pursuit ring in chapter 2 and sell it and give it to Jamke and also give him a skill ring so Lester will start off well. Once you do that Lester will be one of the best units on your team even better after he promotes. Oh and dent forget the brave bow.
