My quest for Summer!Corrin has ended in failure...

Like with my quest for Bride!Cordelia, while I did not obtain that which I desired most, fate has given me other tools.  I obtained an optimized Oboro (+ATK, -RES), an excellent Effie (+ATK, -HP) and Lukas (+DEF, -RES), and I finally got myself a Reinhardt (+SPD, -RES) now. Still, despite all this, if I could trade these optimized units for Summer!Corrin, I would. // In addition, I could live without the ten-thousand Oboros that apparently want my company, but I do not desire theirs. I much rather have Shanna and Odin around...

As for the free unit, I chose Lady Lyndis, because I could really use a good 5* archer. Her synergy with Cavalry Buff teams is also appreciated.

Lastly, I got myself a decent Gwendolyn. Thing is, while I like the VA and Gwendolyn is a solid unit, I am not a big fan of the character and artwork.

In other news, I decided to work on +DEF, -HP Summer!Xander instead of keeping my +DEF, -ATK NS!Xander. As for Orbs, it is time to begin stockpiling so I can start taking proper advantage of "free summons" again so I can do full pulls with 15 orbs instead of 20. I may pull on Brave Heroes some more, but as they will become part of the main character pool, I am not too stressed about pulling one immediately.

Annnnd, I'm done with the banner!  I got Ike and Lucina in just over 100 orbs (and Lyn as my freebie), so I'm a happy camper!  Not bad, not bad at all.  I don't even care that Ike is -Atk and Lucina is -Spd.

Not really. 28 base speed is a bit too low to matter once you take the -5 hit from a brave. At that point you might as well dump spd completely, since 23 is exceedingly difficult to salvage. (Not sure why you'd want to turn brave Ike into a worse Bartre by giving him a brave axe, though.)

This seems to be a theme, lately. Got 6 5*s this past month...

I think +Res/-Spd is one of my most common natures... odd, considering my Klein is the opposite, and he was among my first 5*s.

No, I meant Urvan would matter if Ike had to deal with a melee brave user, in reference to Urvan not working against melee.  It would also work against a Desperation user, I believe.

Do you consider +res -spd to be better or worse than +spd -atk? A lot of my units seem to like that combination, much to my annoyance.

Worse. Delthea has basically no use for Desperation with -Spd, and what are you blocking with more Res?

According to my spreadsheet, the only one of my units who is +res -spd that I'm using seems to be Reinhardt.

That said, so many of my units (including a duplicate copy of his sister) are +spd -atk. Like my Delthea. It's kind of funny.

Oh, pulls? Aside from the two Brave Ikes and the free Brave Roy, nothing really noteworthy. But I did get my first Mathilda ... who is ALSO +spd -atk. Aaaargh.

I had such good luck yesterday that I used the 25 orbs I saved up from quests and left overs from yesterday to try and pull Roy from the CYL banner since I nabbed everyone else yesterday, but no luck just 3* Hana, 2 3* Draug, 3* Henry and a 4* Seth.  Well at least I ended up with some skill fodder, I am going to just save all my orbs until a Tellius banner because while I would like Roy I don't want to waste orbs I will want latter.

Nothing noteworthy from 60 orbs other than Bonfire, Hone Cavalry and G-Tomebreaker fodder. At 3.75% on the CYL banner. 

Wish I'd been able to save more orbs from august. Wasted quite a few on the TT banner and got nothing but a *5 Marth.

While she's Res+/HP-, I'm happy just have her - I think my pity rate was 3.50% - a rate I can thank 5 Jeigans, 2 Oboro's 1 M!Robin, and 3 Shannas.

After having utter garbage luck in the Magvel, my luck turned around for CYL and the voting gauntlet. 

After picking Lyn for my free pull, I used my free summon on the main banner and got CYL Lucina (+Atk/-Spd). So essentially two CYL units for free.

Today I decided to pull on the Voting Gauntlet banner, and got Hector after using only 19 orbs. He's +HP/-Def, so not quite as tanky as he normally would have been, but doesn't really matter. 34 def and 55 HP is enough to survive some hits. Just happy to have him and not get hit by the Rezzy curse again.

Sully (+Spd/-Def): And the game keeps throwing amazing Sullys in my general direction.  Though I think she works better with +Atk.
Seliph (+Def/-Spd): On first glance, this looks awful.  Seliph's Speed is already terrible, so this bane sort-of works.  +Def means that he's 33 Defense naturally, and 37 with Tyrfing active.  This build screams Defiant Atk/Quick Riposte, so that he can get into half-health range immediately, and then ruin everyone's day.  Had this been +Atk, I'd seriously consider Noontime on him, but alas.  Man, this guy makes me think!
Corrin (+Res/-HP): Passing Dragon Fang/Silver Sword onto a semi-throwaway unit (like a half-decent Selena) is a thing.
Barst (+Spd/-HP): I feel like building him a la Minerva.  Without the legendary weapon, of course.

Est (+Spd/-Def): Florina's set belongs on her.
Soren (+Def/-Spd): I'm not sure whether I want to pass his tome, or Watersweep.  But he's definitely getting the boot.
Robin (+Def/-Spd): HALLELUJAH BONFIRE FODDER!

Tiki (+Res/-Spd): THIS is someone who can work with that bane!  +Atk is favorable, but +Res gives her 40/35/27 bulk numbers, which is fairly intimidating IMO.
Cherche (+HP/-Atk): You're the last unit who wants that bane.
Bartre (+Res/-HP): That. . .isn't very good.  Not the absolute worst, but hardly the best.

Cherche (+Spd/-HP): Can you, like, swap boon/bane combos with that Soren?
Cecilia (+Atk/-Spd): I just found a recipient for Soren's tome.  But she's a very low priority ATM.
Cherche (+HP/-Atk): A second time won't make it any better. ;/
Eirika (+Atk/-HP): AWESOME~!  She reset my 5* pull rate, but I didn't have her, and her boon/bane is excellent.  She's an excellent off-tank, and if I had Swift Sparrow as fodder (no I'm not using Bunny Ears), she'd totally get it.  Fury looks like the next-best option, though my inner masochist wants Close Def/Windsweep.

Other than Cherche being a complete failure three times in a row, not bad!

My last pity rates were broken by Seliph and Boey. I gathered enough orbs to summon again, and just got characters I've got many duplicates of. This is my punishment for not choosing Lucina as my free Hero; got another Lyn immediately after I had picked her. 

I'm starting to believe red mages and Shanna are just myths, while Nowi and Mae are unicorns.

Now, do I try to go for Brave!Lyn for the sole purpose of satisfying my completionist tendencies? Eh, what I decide probably won't matter. The game will more than likely send her my way eventually since it knows actually what I think about Lyn...
