Gating the trade behind feathers, orbs, a limited number of trades a day between players, etc. would still be a net win for the player by not needing to gamble their orbs against the gacha system. Devs don't want you getting the good shit so effortlessly. They want you to pay for the privilege to even try. They don't want trading between lucky throwaways and main accounts. The system could further be gated by forcing people to trade same rarity and merge count, but think how many 5* units you have sitting doing nothing, and how fast would trade them for that lucky Legendary Ephraim you pulled on a throwaway. If people were allowed to choose what orbs they want to summon from (and still have it like the 3% or whatever).... or CANCEL a summon, that would be nice. I don't see how that would 'abuse' the system, only due to the fact if you were (say in the swift sparrow banner) focused on the red and green - you could still spend as much money on orbs to get the units (or even copies). I only started paying (thanks PA banner), but I would adjust my entertainment budget to really focus on "in-game sniping". and if IS wanted to make that "cost" something, say that if you specialised your sniping, maybe it's not 5 4-4-4-3, maybe it's 6-5-5-4-4? a tiny bit more of a cost? anyway - I hope everyone is prepared for tomorrow and everyone gets what they want May Blue!Tiki, 2 Miciahs and 2 Karla's bless me tomorrow. I figured even if I just got more Leagjarns that would be alright too, since I like her and merges would be cool. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures mid-pulling because I was too excited, but here's what I got from about 120 orbs spent. (no units were book'd yet, so this is everything is shown but a couple 3*s one row above) I freaked OUT at this summoning session. The first 2 Laegjarns came in the same circle. When Ares pity broke me I thought that might spell doom for getting Laevatein, but I went on anyway. After the 3rd Laegjarn I had about 60 orbs left and thought I might stop there, but I said fuck it and kept going for Laevatein anyway. And the very next session I finally got her after the surprise Alm popped up too. The Laegjarns are +spd -atk, +hp -def, +def -spd. Non really better than my +res -hp, but I can't complain. Ares is neutral and Alm is +res -hp, so they'll both become merge fodder. Laevatein is +spd -res which is incredible. I even got another Soleil merge out of this, finally. My birthday is on Saturday, so between this and the Animal Crossing announcement it feels like Nintendo is giving me some early birthday presents. This banner has been a blessing. Ike is nice fodder, identical nature to my current one so not a waste. Unfortunately Tharja is barely an improvement on my Def/Atk one. 3* Camilla 3* Jagen 4* Gunter 4* Gwendolyn 4* Donnel 4* Cecilia 4* Soren5* Spring Sharena +Def -Spd 4* Clarine 3* Wrys Alright I'm done I think. I might be back next month given the other banners around currently are all pretty mediocre, but not betting on it. Some useful stuff and can't complain about four 5-stars for 90 orbs, but actual usability isn't so hot. I'll use Hector regardless but the two mages aren't even bench material which is a little sad. As for the rest, future merges for Cordelia and Palla but they're both still +0 at the moment. I want Hector too, but I have the other two greens so odds are disappointment. Reds is still good value but then I'd rather pull reds on muspell banner double focus. And of course it was a stupid Ryoma. This is my THIRD Ryoma. He's useless as far as fodder, and I already don't use the one I already have. His only redeeming quality is Matt Mercer, and I don't even play with sound. To make matters worse, he's +SPD -DEF. I'm sure the focus reds would have liked those IVs. I decided to pull the blues in the circle at least and got a 5 star L'Arachel as well. Kinda' makes me regret promoting my L'Arachel all those months ago... I think that one was +ATK -HP whereas this one is +ATK -DEF. At the very least, she has RES Tactic so that could be useful maybe. Gah. I'm still fuming. Mine was Spring Kagerou (+Atk, -Hp). @Zeo @mcsilas @mampfoid @Rezzy When I need some skill fodder, game always send them with perfect IV to me and this time is not exception (If you guys remember last time, I need Swift Sparrow and Spd Tactics, got both at perfect IV...) Spoiler Lector is +Atk/-Spd, fine I'll keep him but next copy of him will die for sure !! Spent a grand total of about 90 orbs on the Swift Sparrow banner - got quite a haul: +Atk/-Spd Flier Nino (from the first session) 2x +Res/-Atk Katarina +HP/-Atk off-focus flier Olivia +Atk/-HP mage Eirika (YES!)
