Not that Castlevania needs anything more to smear its name in the mud after the horrible Lords of Shadow subseries, or the recent travel into Pachinko, but who knows, this could turn out interesting.

Granted one of the guys working on it, is a guy who made a very dumb power rangers spoof video that for some reason people liked.

Me? I'm just waiting for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night for a proper game again.

That's great. Maybe they will even release an actual video game with the Castlevania name on it in order to market the show.

Please, this is 2017 Konami we are talking about, they have no clue how to do anything anymore.

I really hope Captain N guest-stars in an episode.

It's weird seeing series based on games after so long, I had thought that the 90's had put people off the idea. It'll be interesting to see how things turn out.

I'm hoping that the show is about a guy that has to battle his gambling addiction with Pachinko machines. He'll defeat his addiction by destroying the machine and be overcome with a curse that slowly kills him until he rebuilds the Pachinko machine. This requires him going all over the town gathering pieces of the destroyed machine until he can rebuild it. Thus ending the curse and saving the town from being destroyed because the machines were the only real form of income.

Seriously, this seems really weird, but I think I'll give it a chance. I do like Castlevania, so it's hard to see it drag its feet around like this.

Points for:

Castlevania is pretty decent source material

Netflix is usually pretty spot on with quality

The people behind it seem interested and competent

Points against:

Konami

Adi Shankar is can be spotty with his projects(Dredd was amazing, Voices and Dirty Laundry were pretty good, Machine Gun Preacher was awful and that Power Rangers skit was cringey as fuck)

It's a video game property

I'll be skeptical. It could be good, but it's also very likely that it could be bad.
